It was the golden age of Solrif after a long period of arduous war. When victory was found at last, sudden burst of change occurred. Positive change. The economy skyrocketed. New fashion trends appeared on the newspaper every week on the dawn on Monday morning. News shared by the newspaper boy shifted from grave and somber news about frontline, food shortages and needing more men to new viral housewife recipe, young conductor's shouts of fame and top 5 best bed textures.
To the common people, this was more than a golden era, it was an era where even the most wildest dreams has the chance of bearing fruit.
However, no matter how much the economy changed, there will always be scums of the earth lying near the darkest cracks where human civilization tends to ignore, gravitate away from. It was more than the poor, the unsuccessful, the sloth, it was the unwelcomed population.. Âmes.
Beyond the surface of regular gunpowder fights, there lies people with supernatural abilities to morph themselves into power weapons called Âmes. Alongside the Âmes, are the Viès. The fragile commander, of the Âmes. While the Âmes have strong powers far more capable than ordinary weapons created within the era, unlike the lifeless accurate machines, Âmes are emotional, unstable, irrational and hard to control. On the contrary, Viès, who are physically fragile, weak but posses strong mental prowess seemed to exist for the sole purpose to control, tame, and stabilize the Âmes becoming the perfect guide for them.
However, contrary to the perfect system that was theorize, it was almost impossible to put into action. As most Viès are natural born nobles or rich tycoons that only want to use the powers of Âmes for personal gain. While most Âmes are born from the lowest of trenches and tends to hate on the nobility who wants to use them for their own selfish needs. When one thinks the other was a barbarian and the other thinks they are a fake baboon, was evitable neither parties will have unfavorable judgement of the other.
Unfortunately the playing ground within the contract was uneven to begin with as Âmes without a partnering Viè slowly began to experience a decline in sanity and started loosing control and cause havoc within common society. As attacks of rampaging Âmes grow in numbers, the royal family finds increasing urgency in capturing these so-called 'barbaric demons' to 'purify' their souls so that those so-called demons would no longer plague the peaceful empire of Solrif.
However every non-royal associates with at least a bit of brain knows that it is just a scheme. A pompous ploy for power. To gather the Âmes under their hand and use it as a leverage, a wild card within the next war.
It almost felt like imperial dream was going to become true.
Until, rebellion centric organization appeared. Though small and puny, they had a grand goal. To offer a sanctuary where Âmes and Viès could could gather and fight against imperial influence without any strange power dynamics. Not as master or weapon, but rather as equals.
They call themselves the Lightchasers, part of the Lighthouse Corps.
To pave their way to a true era of freedom, they must first guide the lost ones to the lighthouse. They call this, Project: Soul Fire.

It's an open semi-semi-lit rp, where
anyone can join! While the goal of the rp is to stay pg 13, we may
delve into heavier themes depending on the characters that

For simpler explanation upon the lengthy stuff I wrote for plot. Basically, royal family wants to take control of the Âmes for personal gain as they wanted to create a powerful private army to prepare for the next war. So Âmes and Viès started hating each other more (cuz royal family are all Viès who wants control of Âmes). Âmes start hiding themselves more. Then a small corp came around and said "We should all hold hands instead of fighting! Fuck the crown instead!" And that's the goal.
Some of y'all will be Viè (smart, but weak physically) and others will be Âmes (powerful, but emotional oh and y'all can turn into super cool things ((machine gun, scimitar, spoon ect)))
And some of y'all will be part of the organization already and some of you won't in the beginning. But that's the fun! :D

Shuto is quiet, independent and rather rational. He will almost always commit to what he believes in and do what he promises. He will always mean what he says no matter if it’s hurtful or not. You could say he’s the one you always hope to get in your group projects. He will own up to mistakes and take accountability if needed. Following rules like they are his own life. Sometimes Shuto is seen as un-empathetic, which is sometimes true. He will put his values over others if that’s what he needs for success. He doesn’t complain and is dedicated to his goals. Shuto grew up in the city, pollution, cars and all. He often went around on his own as his parents were often not at home so he was basically free to do whatever he wanted to. Although with his constitution, he spent more time in a hospital than at home. Even the smallest cut causing him pain and discomfort, taking weeks to heal. Shuto also never went to school, his parents afraid of him getting hurt and homeschooled him. So because of this, he doesn’t have much experience with making friends or just basic common sense. He was pretty isolated, but he didn’t know that.

For a second to five minutes, Shuto will have increased perception, reaction speed. reflexes and physical strength, he will subconsiously ignore pain and fatigue to continue fighting. However, after each use, he will fall asleep/unconscious for the same amount of time and the skill cannot be used within a certain time within each other. For example, if used for 15 seconds, he gets buffs for 15s and falls asleep for 15 seconds, and the ability cannot be used for another 15s after waking up.
-Slow recovery-
Due to his brain being heightened and prioritising his mental over his physical abilities, Shuto has slower healing and recovery. A paper cut typically takes 2-3 days without medical treatment, for him it could take a week.

Nathaniel is able to infuse power into riddles, that if failed to be answered correctly results in a piece of information being stolen from the victim's memory. The memory must be decided forehand, therefore needing a significant amount of planning on the part of the user. The attachment a person has to the information, how much importance they place on it, decides how complex the riddle to take it needs to be. Nathaniel is also able to extract forgotten memories, but the riddle difficulty must be extremely high.

He Lei was probably a gremlin in his previous life. He Lei is a chaotic, destructive force of nature who is nonetheless utterly devoted to his Vie, following their lead without question. When unhinged glee, reckless abandon, and terrifying loyalty blend together, you get a glass cannon — unpredictable, dangerous, but entirely dependent on his Vie’s direction.
Rules, morals, and consequences mean nothing to him unless his Vie cares about them. He Lei’s laughter is manic, loud, and unapologetic, often in inappropriate situations. Wildly powerful but unstable, He Lei is capable of extreme destruction but with zero self-preservation. If unchecked, he’ll burn everything down just to see the flames. However, his loyalty to Vie keeps him in check—he’s only as dangerous as Vie allows. He Lei is impulsive to a fault—acts first, never thinks later. He gets bored easily and seeks constant stimulation (usually through chaos). Like a hyena, he’s loyal to his Vie but a menace to everyone else. He Lei laughs at pain (his or others’), making him unsettling to be around. He is mischievous, petty, and thrives on causing minor disasters, a prankster, saboteur, and someone who just likes watching things go wrong. When given an order by his Vie, he shows instant obedience with no hesitation, grinning like a madman as he does so, with an occasional chaotic twist. If unsupervised, he’d immediately find trouble. If He Lei were to embody any animal, it would be a hyena. Of all the morally messed up animals on God’s green earth, He Lei is not only chaotic and unruly, but also likely to be the devil incarnate. However, much like male hyenas, He Lei follows the lead of his Vie. If his Vie told him to run, he would run. If his Vie told him to jump off a cliff, he would, no questions asked, with the biggest look of glee as he did so.

He Lei doesn’t have much backstory. Living in poverty, his family couldn’t afford to feed another mouth. So, they put him into a bamboo basket and floated him down the river, leaving his fate up to the gods. He was pulled out by someone, a grandma whose name he can’t quite remember the name of, raised best as they could. He Lei spent most of his days playing pranks on people, charging after them gleefully as they ran from whatever horrors he had prepared. That was until he met RuoDie, whom he took to calling Mimi. Like how one would tame a wild creature, Ruo Die always left him bento boxes of nice food, and eventually, He Lei came to recognise her as his Vie.

He Lei can stretch and bend to impossible shapes, far more flexible than a contortionist. His skin becomes elastic and stretchy, so much so that anything that hits him will ricochet off with the same force it hit him with. If the object is unable to rebound, He Lei turns his skin solid, stopping the motion of whatever is being aimed at him or his Vie

There's an almost frightening duality to RuoXi. On one hand, it is the perfect weapon; silent, obedient, efficient, and best of all unquestioning. It carries out tasks quietly and quickly, always working to do the most in the least amount of time. There is barely any emotion on its face during these times aside from apathy, cold indifference facing the horrors it commits. Orders are the only thing that move it, its Viè's voice the one thing it heeds. It does not take initiative, act on its own, or even speak, content to stay by its Viè's side, never complaining about its place at the bottom. Truly, the model tool
On the other hand, RuoXi is kind. Kind enough to remember the names of each Âmes who he interacts with, their hopes and dreams, their names and wills. He holds kindness in his actions, taking care of any new capture and gently easing them into the gilded cage they have found themselves in, very rarely holding any grudges while voluntarily taking the fall each time. There's just an aura around him that makes people feel safe in his presence, as if they could talk about anything and he'd listen wholeheartedly to whatever you had to share. RuoXi can be as playful as a cat, always fooling around and giving the heavy atmosphere the light it needs. Whenever he throws his head back, his sunny laughter bounce off the concrete walls and lifts people's spirits. He is a breath of fresh air and sunshine dancing across the floors. He is joy and he is hope.

RuoXi is a relatively unassuming person of Asian decent, standing at a respectable 176 cm (5'9) with long black hair. It has broad shoulders but a deceptively tiny waist, its body built from years of training and malnutrition. Once, RuoXi had a name that his parents gave him. What that name was, he no longer remembers but what good is a name when there is no one to call for him? RuoXi was, all things considered, a normal boy. Born into a normal family in a normal neighbourhood as normal litter of three on a normal summers day, RuoXi was the runt of the family and was always a frail kitten. Despite being an Âmes, his true abilities lie in the possibility of building a wildly destructive body, and with the laughable amount of nutrition he received, such potential was simply scoffed at. He wasn't bullied but he certainly wasn't strong enough to aid in hunting for scraps or earn any money. It didn't help that he got sick easily, an extra mouth to feed without any clear use for the family. And when the mental toll of the loneliness and death which trailed after him like a second shadow swallowed it whole, frail limbs lashing out, no one stepped in.
So when RuoXi was snatched off the streets by those who sought to purify it's soul, what else was it to do? They saved it after all.

RuoXi's cattish nature is reflected in its powers, with exceptional balance, increased night vision, heightened senses, and an uncanny ability to sense danger though this stays as a gut feeling and not as an actual manifested power. It also has incredible leg muscles, able to leap much like a cat if it angles his body properly and is generally much faster that average. Its muscle density in general is much heavier than the average Âmes but has nothing special to it. RuoXi simply has the ability to build more muscle even if its rail thin figure doesn't belay it.
Despite its high pain tolerance and seemingly unbreakable smile, the moment it's threshold is exceeded, it becomes surprisingly easy to break kt as even the strongest of mountains crumble if enough has been hacked away. It is also very dependent on others, viewing itself as nothing more than a tool for others to use.

It thinks the Lightchasers are kind of silly for trying to fix something that was never broken in the first place. But if its Viè were to ever join their cause maybe that line of thinking may change

He was adopted by Vies as a child but was never really treated as one of their kids, more like a friend and sometimes a servant. At 17, he killed his parents, escaping their home and the guards at night. Him and a Vies who he had befriended and convinced to escape with him made it into the forest and robbed passing adventurers, traveling carts and other people who wandered down into the forest. When the Vies died in a robbery gone wrong, he fled and traveled into random cities, silently stealing, jumping from place to place. He couldn't afford to settle down, with small bounties accumulating on his head in every city he visited.

When activated, Servus plants down his quarterstaff, creating a forcefield around him. Nothing gets in or out. While it is active, people inside will get SLIGHTLY increased healing. Each time this forcefield is hit, Servus feels a bit of the strike. If hit too many times, the forcefield will drop and then IDK havoc. It lasts a maximum on 5 minutes.
