Mulling over Clarisse's offer, Iola meandered to his class. Taking
up swordsmanship might not be a bad idea if he wanted to pursue
being a dancer, but lances just felt right in his hands. Sighing,
Iola decided that perhaps sparing with Leaf and Clarisse after
class might clear up some things for him
*Marcus storm in to class arriving very late. He look very
exhausted has he tried to keep his posture in front of the teacher*
H-Hi teacher.... sorr-y I am late, it's a big place so I got
lost...
Leaf had a quill and was writing notes from his class. Faith magic
seemed to be one of his strengths and so, although he didn't
realise it, he was learning quickly
*Marcus sat down in class and started to write down in his notes of
how to use better the sword and later the minor focuses of using
the bow and gauntlet*
Clarisse didn't have much interest in a theoretical approach to
combat, but knew she'd need it if she wanted to become a true
warrior. She also noticed she wasn't as slow as she thought she'd
be with magic, probably due in part to Professor Lysithea's great
expertise with the subject.
Clarisse even managed to learn a small spell to make her axe a
little lighter and easier to use by the end of the lecture day.
*Marcus kept writing in his notes of how to use the sword and the
use of skills like Luna and sol the most common of a hero to use
but he dint know what to choose if it ever came to that* This
difficult... *he said in a low voice as he was thinking of the two
skill*
(In Three Houses, healing spells fall under Faith magic, which
includes healing spells such as Heal, Physic, Recover, Restore and
Fortify and offensive spells such as Nosferatu, Aura and
Abraxas)
(Abilities like Sol and Luna, had they appeared in Three Houses
would have fallen under Combat Arts, they give your regular attack
a boost, but your weapons break quicker. I'm looking at all the
available combat arts, and Sol and Luna don't appear. Astra does
appear but it is locked to Swordmasters. Heroes get Vantage)
(If Marcus comes, as proposed before, from Ylisse through some
weird means, I'd say he could learn Sol as a Combat Art for swords,
and Luna for lances or axes. Anyways, I think this is a bit too
soon for that...
Also, @YungRover, I'd say you should put your spell list in your
character sheet, just for completeness)
(I won't do anything overpower or stupid in this case until we all
become master rank and stuff so I will just follow along the
story)
I have questions teacher *Marcus raise his hand* How many combat
arts are there? *he ask very curiously*
"It's hard to tell. Recent studies reveal that a decent number of
people have innate access to unique Combat Arts, even though they
still need to master them."
Right in that moment, the bells rang, signaling the end of the
lections for the day.
Clarisse sprung up from her seat, took her belongings with her and
ran outside, looking for Leaf or Iola, her axe to her side.
As she scanned the students pouring out of the three classrooms,
she tried once again to activate and deactivate the simple spell on
command.
Leaf gathered his things and wandered outside. He took his lance
with him. "Hey Clarisse! How did lessons go?" He was feeling pretty
happy about his progress today.
"It went decently, thank you for asking. Turns out I'm not
completely clieless when it comes to magic!" Clarisse cheerfully
responded. "What about you? Oh, and... wanna spar?"
"I'm making my way through steadily of course!" Leaf paused before
doing a small spin with his lance. "...Alright. I'm afraid of what
a noblewoman of Goneril can do, but after hearing tales of Lord
Holst and your mother...I want to see your strength for myself."
