"We can...customise our crests...?" Leaf mumbled to himself. His crest, the crest of Daphnel, sometimes raised the power of his combat arts. He was a little weirded out by this but he looked over at Iola, wondering if he had a crest, as he never talked to him about it.

Leaf looked at Corona. "Professor Linhardt...he's a Crest Scholar. He researches the power of crests and their influences. He also took up one of the jobs here...according to my mother...she mentioned he's quite fond of napping but his talent is second to none."

Corona definitely knows someone else who was exactly like that. “Thank you, I’m Corona, what’s yours?” She asked, slightly less worried now, but a crest? Would the one she made be useful to her.

(Sorry, I just realized that this was Fire Emblem. Excuse me for not having playing it that much, never really got into it. Can I make up another name for a house or do I have to use houses from the game?)

(Ah. Alright let me explain. The Crests in this game are like bloodlines, they enable people to gain an extra ability in combat, and in some cases, allow them to wield legendary weapons. This is kinda simplified)
(There's the Crest of Blaiddyd, Charon, Daphnel, Dominic, Fraldarius, Gautier, Gloucester, Goneril, Lamine, Riegan, Cichol, Macuil, Cethleann, and Indech. There are a lot more but I can explain their effects via palpad)

Iola was listening in and frowned at the crest part. He was probably one of the few students who didn't have one and it didn't help that his family was known for inheriting the Crest of Fraldarius. However, hearing that he'd be having classes with other houses lifted his spirits. He'd get to take classes with Clarisse too! He smiled softly at the thought of having a class with the two friends he had made and it seemed to chase everything else away.

(Ordinary lessons: unless something important happens, we're gonna skip those.
Noble Houses: choose whatever name you want, but it'd be better if you were a member of a canon house, just to keep it simple
Crests: they do not resemble objects or animals.
Also, this is explicitely a way to level the playing field, so birth Crests are just a roleplay thing (for example, Clarisse'll temporairly suppress her Crest and take the Beast's one, as it suits her more)

Clarisse got up, together with a group of other young Alliance nobles. As she passed next to where the Blue Lions were seated, she waved to Leaf and Iola. She wanted to be one of the first students to get to Professor Lysithea's indroduction of the classes, but she stopped and told them, making it clear she was in a hurry: "I'll see you after classes. If any of you wants to spar a bit..."

Corona finally settled with beast, a girl talked to Leaf and the other guy on the other side of him, and left. Corona didn’t want to budge in so she decided to wait, she wanted to know where she needed to go.
