*Marcus felt bad after he said that he dint mean to say or wanted
to say that he is weak or inferior rather he was at a disadvantage*
Ah no I am not saying your weak or inferior I am saying that she
already had you beat with her axe? Dont you know the weapon
triangle system that sword beats axe, axe beats lance and lance
beats sword? But of course you can ignore these if your skilled
enough and belive in yourself you could have beat her
"...weapon triangle system? I'm sorry but I haven't heard of that.
If you're going to slight my skills, do it when you know me
better!" Leaf healed Clarisse before walking out of the training
grounds, annoyed.
(Just for info, the weapon triangle system got axed in Three
Houses. It's not there.)
Ducking out of sight, Iola watched leaf leave on a storm, gnawing
his lip in worry. He wanted to comfort his friend, he really did,
but currently he didn't feel like he could. Instead he kept himself
hidden as he watched Marcus. He really was suspicious, blurting out
terminology that no one knew, and generally being weird.
(What!? Omg so there no weapon advantage!? Just Duke it out until
someone dies?)
*Marcus dint know what he said but he felt bad but was clueless at
the same time* Great... I dint mean to make him angry....
(Yep. No weapon advantages. The Breaker skills you learn at B rank
of the weapons is as close as you're going to get.)
Leaf went to the Greenhouse. Looking at plants always calmed him
down, and perhaps he'd even have the opportunity to do some
gardening. He stared at the various plants
(I am such a old generation guy "back in my day we had this system
called weapon triangle but in other words we call it rock paper
scissors")
*Marcus went to take some shade and meditate to relax and later hit
the library to look up more information*
(I mean, it wasn't that long ago, I don't think. Echoes didn't have
the weapon triangle because there wasn't one in the original game,
plus you had no axe users. Three Houses was the first one to remove
it.)
Leaf decided to plant some fruit seeds. He looked forward to
harvesting some fruit and sharing it with Iola and Clarisse
(Thanks. The only fire emblem game I play was awakening and Heros
so yeah)
*After some meditation he went toward the library to study and
learn all he could of combat arts and weaopns*
(Three Houses is probably one of the best in the series, I really
recommend giving it a try. Scratch probably, I think it's one of
the best. Top 3 for me)
Once Leaf was done, he went back to the training grounds to
apologise to the other two for storming off like that
Clarisse walked up to Iola, having noticed him, while she was
trying to calm Leaf down:"Huh, you look focused. What's on your
mind?"
(Heh, "axed"... anyway, the Brraker skills work exactly, IIRC, as
the Triangle did in its first iteration, in Genealogy of the Holy
War, FE4.
Also, 3H is my second favourite, right between Echoes and Gaiden.
Then it's Sacred Stones, Blaxing Sword, and Fates, that's so high
on the list only because it's easy to pick and play and have fun,
despite being bad in almost any other regard)
Startling, Iola shook his head. "n-no, nothing." He assured,
glancing around. "Um... Is it okay if we spar too? I want to work
on my swordsmanship..." He admitted. And even if he wasn't good at
it, he would have to if he wanted to try and become a dancer.
Leaf returned to the other two. "Urgh...I'm sorry for losing my
temper like that, and I'm sorry you had to see that. That wasn't
knightly of me...I have a lot to learn." He looked down at the
floor
*After much carefully reading Marcus found out two things that made
sense to him now. The first the weapon triangle is not mention in
any of the books, so that would explain why Leaf was mad at him,
the second thing is that skills here are very different from the
ones he is used to* This explains a lot, ita even it's best I dont
give much away or I will have to run and hide... especially since I
pay a lot...
"Ah! Leaf, you're back!" Iola gasped, turning around and smiling
brightly. "Are you okay? It's okay to be angry sometimes. Marcus
was really insensitive anyways so you didn't do anything wrong." He
rambled, hands hovering somewhere around Leaf, never touching him
but conveying his worry all the same
"Oh, you ok?" Clarisse asked, concerned. Then turned to Iola:"well,
I'd love to... just tell me if you want limits or rules to be in
place. Even if it seems you're stacking the odds against memuscle,
tell me whatever you need to."
She didn't really know where did that come from, and she hoped she
didn't sound too cocky or standoffish.
"No need! I'll probably embarrass myself more by sparing with you,
Clarisse." He laughed sheepishly. "But I'll be fine. I'm just
looking to improve, not to beat anyone just yet."
"Don't even think about going easy on me, I'll just take that as an
insult. If I lose, I'll learn from it. Plus I still get weapon
training from this." Leaf looked at her sternly. "I may come from a
family of pegasus knights but don't count me out just because I
don't have the physical strength!"
"I said nothing about going easy on you... just, I want to
challenge myself, with nigh impossible challenges." As she was
saying this, Clarisse was walkong away from Iola. Then, she
stopped.
"I'd love to take both pf you on at the same time, in the future...
but first, let's do this!"
That said, she waited for Iola to make the first move.
Picking up a rapier, Iola let out a breath as he analyzed Clarisse.
He'd lose in pure strength but he could probably be faster. With
that in mind, He darted forward, aiming a solid thrust toward
Clarisse's axe arm prepared to cartwheel away at any time
