Currently, users spam multiple (5+) of the same trade, as they are collecting a large amount, particularly with gems/summons. This bumps down others' trades. It is also simply annoying to scroll through multiple of the same trade.

There could be a new category of trades - "Bulk Trades". You can set up any number of a trade/offer in one bulk trade, through a "Trades/offers available: " field. Users who want to offer can choose how many trades they want to complete.

For example, if I have 1.5M PD, I can post a bulk trade buying Ghost Gems for 1500 PD each, with 1000 trades/offers available. If a user only has 38 Ghost Gems, they could enter "Trades to complete: 38", and they'd get 57000 PD, and the "Trades available" would drop to 962.

Setting up a trade -

Trade details+offer -

(There’d be a confirmation popup upon clicking “Complete trade”)

This is sort of like the Item Market (in the way that you can set up a bunch of items at a certain price, and a user can choose how many to buy), but for item-item and currency-item trades as well (in addition to item-pd)

This would also prevent misclicking on lowball offers - users can't lowball offer on your trade at all.

This would also help users collecting those items - you don't have to spam trades, or keep reposting individual ones.

This would be useful for users who have less of an item than a user is looking for - you don’t have to contact the user to ask for a “split” (example - if User A sets up a trade looking for 50 Ice Gems, but I only have 40, I’d have to contact them / set up a private trade)

Other potential names could be mass/multi trades.

Pokemon cannot be traded through bulk trades. (Would be a lot of coding needed, when the only uses would be leftover MAs/Shinies from SM hunts, as well as leftover events/legendaries from hunts. The system would have to check whether every pokemon is the same species, shinyness, and mega-ability. It would then have to select a random one that's been included in the trade's 'pool', and trade it for another user's junkmon [to prevent mass trading of pokemon, pokemon trades have to be 1:1], then remove chosen pokemon from the 'pool'.)

Quote from CelestiaCat“i believe bulk trades would seem complicated for newbies and then we would get an influx of questions (like the heart badge)”

Maybe Bulk Trades would only be available at a higher trainerlevel (20-25)?. Would also prevent newbies from getting scammed without knowing prices, as they’d get used to them by a high trainerlevel.

This could be applied to the Gem Exchange as well, as spam trades are common there too. Edit: there is a suggestion for that here.

Isn't this basically item market
Also what if I want to accept multiple item
Eg for same ghost gems I am accepting pd, nuggets as well as ice gems
Same if I am negotiatable with the price like I want 2500 but can go down to 2400 if one in front tries to negotiate

The item market is only for selling items in exchange for PD. You can't buy items in bulk (at your price). You also can't trade nuggets for items (e.g. gems/summons), and vice versa.
If you want to accept multiple forms of payment, then you can set up multiple trades (3 in your case).
If you're negotiable with the price, then you always have the option to use the regular trade format (or set up a separate private trade).
