Institute of the Unique, Talented, and Magical RP
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Institute of the Unique, Talented, and Magical RPWhile Jack would be the first to admit people were afraid of her, she didn't rule through fear. People respected her for her talents and dueling prowess. She had earned herself a name through coaching her housemates and being a calm, levelheaded person to turn to. She had settle disputes and prevented conflicts. Jack alone had stood up for her house against teachers (and paid dearly for it, not that she would admit that readily). She was unflappable, and that was her greatest strength.
But Kendo just seemed to know how to get on her nerves...
"I said later." Which meant in private. She did not trust herself enough not to get emotional. Vulnerability... Her thoughts were NOT allowed to circle back to that. Not to those weeks, not to that night, not to HIM.
Ogd, and what was Ayran nodding about? Jack smiled serenely, floating above all the chaos. She continued to revel in the success of her and Atticus's plan.

Eris made her way to House {Pink and Purple}. She was excited and nervous all at once! How would the school year go? Would she be able to make frien- "A freak like you will never get friends!" A cruel memory echoed in Eris's mind, causing her to visibly wince.
A soft laugh escaped her icy facade, and she genuinely smiled.
"Whatever you say, sword boy. I'm clearly not the only one with disturbing secrets. I've watched you for long enough to realize you have some of your own."
Jack was itching to get to the fun part: planning. The brain trust that could be formed between herself, Atticus, Kendo, and now it seemed Ayran, held limitless possibilities. A pity Ayran hadn't been at the sorting.

His grin dropped for a split second, then he was back to his normal, cheerful self. he took her hand, gently balling her hand back into a fist.
"No hay necesidad de gestos crudos, friend."
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
"We all have pasts, after all."
Ayran's smile stiffen, he may be happy to cooperate with [Green & Blue] but he wasn't planning on accidently learning about others sob story. Ayran glanced behind, seeing there is no way to go back anyway, he braced himself, and put on a polite smile.
"Pardon my intrusion, but Kendo and Jack, haven't seen you guys in awhile!"

Ayran laughs, then sighs in less that 3 seconds, and glanced at Atticus who is most likely, presumably looking for colors for himself.
"..I say we are doing pretty good..?" Ayran said with his shoulders slumped, he knew that did not sound convincing, but knowing Kendo, he probably bought it.
Then suddenly, Magius popps in.
With the perfect opportunity to change the subject, Ayran optimiscally greeted Mobius. "Ni Hao Mobius!"
Ayran looked away sheepishly, and was relieved, for a moment he could already see the Jack in a forest in the middle of the night digging a pit, before throwing a man sized bag in there.
Ayran held in the shiver that crawled up his spine, thankfully Jack already knew, not that he suspected that she didn't. Kendo was right about this part, Jack is extremely smart, if she was not, how could she even think of uniting the four houses.
"Even I would only dare to annoy Att a few times before shooing myself away.. or else.."
This time Ayran did shiver, as he felt goosebumps rise against his arms, now in his mind, Jack was replaced with Atticus, and the person in the man-sized bag was him!
"..Or else I'll get my @ss beaten by him-ah!" Ayran says dramatically with a fake cry
Jack knew it was her job to unify and teach. When she saw a problem, she couldn't help but try to solve it. It was why she loved dueling so much; every match brought a multitude of situations that she had a limited time to think through a solution to. Jack thrived for the challenge and the thrill of evading sure failure. Because she was no stranger to losing, no stranger to failure.
Jack heard Kendo call her the wrong name AGAIN, and honed in on the conversation. She couldn't ignore it, not when they were talking about her. Yes, she knew Kendo was only pretending to be stupid. It only bothered her how often his false ignorance struck a painful chord.
We all have pasts, after all.
(I can speak basic Spanish... not sure if I want Jack to be able to. Perhaps she knows a few phrases after being around Kendo for EIGHT YEARS?)

Atticus's breath caught.
"Sorry Jack, I have to go, deal with something."
He rushed out of the room mumbling nonsense "Reina...victor...sh*t...alcohol."
He slammed around a corner and crumpled against the wall, the feeling of grieving bubbling up inside of him.
"C'mon Att. Y-you told yourself you'd stop hurting. You told yourself you were over her."
He laughed at his own words. He would never be over her, but he needed to stop being weak.
"Att... stay..."
The memory of her voice fell upon him like a truck.
"Please Atticus, this is important, your house needs you..."
