Rei stood frozen in shock, seeing as Princess Athena, the girl that his parents wanted him to (forcibly) marry had not acknowledge his existence but had winked at him. Rei didn't realize it but he was very obviously blushing.

Athena grinned slightly, then quickly dodged her partner’s misstep. She’d quite intentionally chosen bad dancers, just to make her parent’s job harder.

Kaori watched the people dance. She was a big no-no for dancing, especially a waltz. She was more of a fan for bright dancing, not slow. And her heels hurt. Like mad.

Kaori watched the others dance and she mostly fiddled with her bracelet, not really paying attention.

A final twirl, the song ended. As the Gala started to get going, the music was getting quicker. But it would hit its peak. It never reached the point Athena wanted it, crazy fast, a jumble of sounds, like the ones she heard in the village.

Forcing a smile, which, was extremely convincing for all those blockheads, Athena pulled herself back to the present.

With the music still playing, Bronlyn searched for someone to talk to while staying at the proximity of the palace, she searched high and low but so far no luck, "There's just so many people at the palace, it is so hard to find someone to talk to, I'm worried that the princess might not be happy with me", Bronlyn said in a concerned voice, she continued to dance calmly and trying to put on a good attitude.

And so, it continued. Dance after dance, song after song. The music slowed down to a waltz again, this was when guests began carrying out their intentions for attending. Food was replenished, soft chatter began, there were even some marriage plans being made.

Hey, you look good. Athena reached out with her consciousness, softly whispering in Rei’s mind. It was one of the benefits of having magic, and almost outweighed the fact that everyone was obsessed with you.

Rei is now even more shocked, he never knew the princess actually had magic since he had assumed they were all false rumors. Rei took a deep breath and slowly approached Athena as the guests slowly started to dance once more after some chatter and food.

Bronlyn continued to dance, hoping that her positive attitude will be a huge help, however she sees Rei heading over to see the Princess, Bronlyn didn't think much of it and focused on herself and her beautiful dancing, "I'm here to find someone who worked in a same profession but so far I got no luck, I guess I need to continue to have a great time at the Snow Gala then", Bronlyn said.

Ayran didn't bother to dance, nor did anyone look for him to dance, thus he just stood by the sidelines. With a plate of cheesecake held elegantly in one hand, and a fork in another he quickly finished next slice.

Sighing, he gave the plate to one of the waiters passing by, and nodded a thanks before stepping into a corner to observed the next event that are going to happen in place.

As Bronlyn continued to dance, she started to feel exhausted and soon afterwards bumped into Ayran, Bronlyn in surprise said, "I'm so sorry about that", Bronlyn looked up and down feeling a bit surprised after the situation that occurred, "I just hope I don't embarrass the princess and the other guests".

Bronlyn smiled and took a bow as a sign of respect, "I thank you Ayran", Bronlyn said to Ayran respectfully. Bronlyn was now focused to continue to impress the princess in hoping that everything will be okay, "I see something interesting about Ayran, I wish I can meet Ayran and get to know that fellow a bit more", Bronlyn said with hope.

She was taking a huge risk here. Revealing the true extent of magic she’d practiced. But she needed an escape, put her consciousness somewhere else. Letting her body move on instinct, she let her mind wander. Into other people’s minds. Most of it was gibberish, impossible dreams and aspirations. She learned news of the outside world from a few, and some interesting motives for coming.

After all this time, I’m surprised people still don’t believe false rumours.

After seeing Rei having a quick chat with Princess Athena, Bronlyn continued to dance but still she wants to make a good first impression in hopes of finding someone who worked as a nurse or doctor and second someone who cares and is really helpful, "I got to make sure I can find someone who is calm and helpful at the same time, but who?", Bronlyn asked.
