Mercy could see her family encouraging her and smiling at her, that made it a lot easier on her. As long as they were there for her, she was sure she would be alright. "This speech may count as an extension to the one I told on camera, but... I want to express my dearest and deepest gratitude and wholeheartedly apologize to everyone. Thank you for helping or supporting those who wanted to end the war or even simply survive. These past several years were hard, indubitably so. They say personal drama shouldn't be brought into a fight such as this war, but... Personal drama was the reason this war started. An experiment, one that the leader of the alphas and I conducted, and all of you were our subjects. I was betrayed by the one person I trusted most, and that led me down a dark path. I was an enemy, an alpha, at one point. I had worked alonside the leaders of those who've tried to imprison or sell or kill you. I knew Bliss and Vixen and Akira. Do I deserve to be forgiven for helping commit crimes? Absolutely not. But I want to make it up to everyone, whether you'd be willing to let me help or not. I ask that you see it in your hearts to at least try, not to forgive just me, but everyone, even yourself. This war was pointless, but even through it, we've created new bonds stronger than any. We can always fix physical damages, but the emotional losses will be hard. So please, let's work together to make each day better and better, for those who are native to this world, and those who've been transported here. Thank you." A roar of applause and whistling erupted from the crowd, Mercy blushed brightly, still embarrassed and anxious about how she did. She quickly bowed and left the stage, walking to her seat.

"That was real impressive, Mona." Matsunaga clapped. Mercy laughed nervously, picking up Eclipse and Caspian to put them in her lap.

"You think so? I don't know, I didn't really see the wow factor in it."

"Not every speech has to be a rally to victory or a persuasive essay. Sometimes admitting their faults and showing them the true self is a form of sincerity that deserves an applause." Iteral replies, still eating her own bread sticks.

Isabelle was not at all paying attention to the speech Mercy gave, but still clapped in support. She didn't know what else to do besides that.

Scara gave a slight applause. Even though he tuned about half of that out he still was polite.

"That speech was incredible, Mercy!" Cloudy clapped loudly, alongside the rest of them. "Seriously, not many could pull off something like that."

"T-Thank you..." She smiled, face red like the velvet curtains that covered the rest of the stage from view. Matsunaga chuckled, patting her back a few times. "I really liked it. At least you got it done and over with."

"Yeah..." The announcement of the dessert bar opening sparked Matsunaga's attention, she stood up, grabbed her plate, and made a beeline for where the snacks were.

"Yeah. Anyway, I'll summon like five copies to get fives times the desserts." Iteral already has a clock in her hand and walks to the bar.

Did he hear dessert? He perked up at that slightly. He was very predictable

Matsunaga had probably grabbed enough snacks for everyone in the room and then some. She sat down again after deciding that she was satisfied with how much she had, and offered some to Rūkasu. "Do you want me to get you some?" Mercy asked Scaramouche and Caspian.

He nodded. Why wouldnt he want snacks? Probably the best thing to get from this place

Rūkasu accepted the desserts he was given, saying, ‘Arigato.’ He started eating and was shocked from the delicious flavor that they had. He started eating then excitedly. This was much better than plain rice.

Caspian looked at the desserts and nervously nodded his head, saying, “Y-yessssss p-p-pweasssssssse.” He wanted to try some of the sweets that he had never had before.

Eclipse was admiring the pile of sweets which his face popping up beside the table. His eyes shined and he was walking around the table, looking for anyone who wasn’t guarding some of their sweets they grabbed properly.

Mercy nodded, walking over to the tables to pick out a variety of things for everyone to try. She quickly nabbed Eclipse before he could hurt himself or take anything and went back to her seat, sitting down and placing Caspian in her lap as well as the baby. "You, my dear, are still being bottle fed. It's only a matter of days before you can eat, given you were born in the garden, so you have accelerated aging until it stops. As for everyone else, here you go." She made sure to put a lot of sweets on the plate she placed in front of Scaramouche. Most of what they served was chocolate or some exotic flavor, but it all looked really good.

'Glad you like it!' Matsunaga laughed, sharing her massive pile of desserts with Rūkasu.

"Sweets!" Isabelle cheered, digging into her own sweets. Nom nom. Sweets were good.

Haha Scara had sweets now. He was unstoppable. Also probably a lot more pleasant to be around.

Eclipse seemed to pout a bit as he was put into Mercy's lap/ He kind of started to understand what she was saying, since whenever she said 'bottle' she always pulled it out , so he assumed she was referring to it. He stayed pouting, as that's what this baby would do whenever he was restricted.

Caspian started trying some of the chocolates that had been placed out, and found out that each of them had a different filling. He liked the orange one the most, but found all of them wonderfully delicious.

Rūkasu ate some more sweets from the giant pile that Matsunaga had eaten from. He found them all to be good, and just sat there, concentrated on eating the sweets. There were some teenage girls nearby that seemed to be watching him eat the candy, fawning over him. bunch of simps-

Faeron said, "These sweets are quite delectable." He ate some small chocolates he had picked out for himself in the pile. He ate with manners, unlike some of the others who were stuffing their faces full of chocolate.

Mercy took the already shaken bottle from her purse and cradled Eclipse so it would be easier to feed him. "Here you go, baby." She held it up to his mouth, glancing up at Caspian and everyone around her to make sure they were enjoying themselves. "Do you like the sweets, Scaramouche?"

“They’re fine” He said in his usual manner. But they were sweets you could see it in his eyes that he was enjoying it. At least, enough to temporarily forget what the next day would bring.

Eclipse saw the bottle as he was laid down into a cradling position and put it in his mouth, starting to drink the milk from the bottle. He seemed to have forgotten all about Mercy not allowing him to have any candy as he drank the milk.

Cloudy went over to the sweet buffet and got himself a plate. He popped one in his mouth and blinked at it suspiciously. It should not be this good. Whatever, others were enjoying it. He ate another one.

"Oh, good boy." Mercy praised, she chuckled and watched him, occasionally glancing up at the others. The small orchestra continued to play, guests and servers all around the room talked to one another. She was glad that everyone was having a good time, in the moment, it distracted her from everything else. She was happy, calm, it felt like how it always was. Her entire posture seemed much more relaxed- had she always been so tense?
