"Yeah, why don't you listen to Rūkasu and shut up?" Matsunaga stuck her tongue out at him and continued to eat her food, but after thinking about Scaramouche's insult (overthinking, really), she stopped eating and pushed her plate away. "I'm not hungry."

He stuck his tongue out back at her, but also seeing that she stopped eating. Was it something he said..? She never let what he said go to her head before, at least he thought. He pretended to not care, rolling his eyes at her, but holding back on a comment this time.

Matsunaga huffed, standing up and hastily walking away, mumbling something about going to the bathroom. She was just checking herself in the mirror- did she really look like a pig? Of course she had a bit of a stomache, she gave birth to two kids so she wouldn't ever have that super perfect barbie body, but did she look that bad? Mercy watched her walk off, nodding in response to where she said she was going.

Well. He wondered why she did that all of a sudden. Wasn’t his problem. He continued to eat his food barely thinking about Matsunaga

After a bit, Matsunaga came back out and sat down, making it a point to sit away from Scaramouche, moving her plate to where she was currently. She still didn't eat, not after his insult, and simply looked at her phone.

Wow. Guess she couldnt take a joke. Not his fault (it was, completely his fault. Hes stupid) that she was sensitive. He ignored the fact that she moved. He got his revenge

Rūkasu, being the kind of person he was, looked at Scara a bit menacingly, then moved over next to his mom and hugged her. “I think you look beautiful mom.” he said to her and smiled at her.

'Thank you, Rūkasu...' She smiled slightly, but left her food alone, wrapping her arms around him as well. The music continued, people were happily conversing and laughing, snapping photos of everything and everyone. Mercy felt almost crowded, claustrophobic. She would rather be at home relaxing with her family, but she did agree to this speech, and so here she was. Curse her inability to say no.

Scara wanted to leave he hated these social meetings (which is also why he did everything in his power to avoid the harbinger meetings). But every second he was here was a second where he didn’t have to go back to Teyvat, so that was… alright

Isabelle, who had finished her food, completely zoned out for a bit. She didn't know what was happening. was Matsunaga always there? I thought she was ...???

The music quieted down until it stopped, the event host walked up on stage and cleared his voice. "If I may, everyone. Thank you for being able to show up to this party, it means a lot to me that so many of you could make it. Shortly, we'll have our anticipated speech from Mona herself, but just before that..." He went on, trying to get as much stage credit as possible. Mercy sat there in silence, a little nervous.

Iteral looks over, noticing Mercy's uncomfortable stance and writes on her napkin with a small pen, sliding it over to her. It just said "Are you okay?" and looking over, she did seem to have a worried face.

Well, Mercy would probably do fine. It’s not like she would say anything to make everyone in the room upset, so how bad could it really go? He ignored the man on the stage though, annoying

"Now, give her a very warm welcome, come up here, Miss Mona." He stepped away from the microphone, gesturing for her to go up and speak. She wrote back quickly, scribbling something along the lines of 'nervous' and slipped the napkin back to herz standing up and walking up to the stage. She cleared her throat quietly.

"Everyone gets a bit nervous on stage, I wouldn't have any idea of how to help stage fright." Matsunaga shrugged, eating her food. Mercy stood there quietly, anxious. She could make a speech in front of a camera, sure, but in front of this many people that looked up to her? She was overwhelmed.

Caspian nodded and said, “M-mhm.” He looked at Mercy from his seat, smiling and waving at her and whispered “Y-you c-c-can d-d-do d-dissssssss.” He was probably too far away for Mercy to hear now, but it was the thought that counts.

Rūkasu pumped his arm up in the air, then brought it back down. That hurt a bit, but cheering fir Mercy would probably make her feel better. At least he thought. He wasn’t exactly used to this emotion thing yet.

Eclipse was laying down in Mercy’s seat. He was being a good child and keeping it warm for whenever dhe got back from her speech.

Faeron watched Mercy and gave her a reassuring smile.he wanted to let her know that he believed she could do this.
