Cloudy popped another sweet, which seemed to be the last, into his mouth before licking the excess off his fingers. He tried to do it as delicately as possible.

Rūkasu continued to eat the chocolates and other sweets that Matsunaga had brought over. The young girls and now even some boys were watching him and conversing between themselves further away on whether Rūkasu was a guy or girl.

Eclipse soon finished the bottle and yawned, getting tired again. He would soon fall asleep in Mercy’s lap, so you better get him situated Mercy otherwise he’ll be stuck in that position.

Caspian and Faeron both ate their candy quietly, quite enjoying the flavor of the candies that they were eating.

"Alright, with my speech done and hopefully all of you full, let's get out of here before the nighttime traffic hits." Mercy made sure Caspian was wrapped around her before she stood up, carrying Eclipse with on arm so his head rested on her shoulder.

"Agreed." Matsunaga got out of her seat as well, sneaking a few more chocolates in her mouth before walking outside to pull the car out front. Mercy motioned for everyone to follow her outside, seeing Matsunaga drive into view.

"Cloudy or Rūkasu can sit in the passenger seat, I don't want your incessant chatting to wake the baby." Mercy climbed into one of the backseats, noticing Matsunaga pour and stick her tongue out at her.

Eclupse at this point had fallen asleep on Mercy in the same position that he was put on Mercy in, with his head on her shoulder. He wasn’t waking up any time soon.

Caspian has his tail wrapped around Mercy’s waist, although he was sitting at his own spot in the car next to Mercy. He was close to falling asleep because of the sugar crash and because it was late at night.

Rūkasu sat up front with Matsunaga. The teenagers were gone now because they were distracted from their bickering and now nobody was watching Rūkasu. He looked at a cloud in the night sky and smiled.

Faeron sat in the middle of the car. “That was quite enjoyable.” he said quietly, not wanting to wake up Eclipse or disturb anyone. He was going to be leaving back to Teyvat soon, and was glad he could spend a fun time with them.

"You guys drive already, I'll be heading back to Amby for the night. Told him that I'd return by..." Iteral looks up at the sky, smirking a bit. "... morning. Yeah... anyhow, Matsu, Ruka, this is the last time we see each other for the time being, right?"

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

"It will be, yeah." Matsunaga nodded, rolling the window down farther. Mercy looked at Iteral for a moment.

"Are you sure you want to be with him tonight?"

Rūkasu nodded his head and looked at Iteral and smiled at her. ‘Sayōnara, Iteral.’ he said to her and waved her a goodbye before she would leave. He was a bit curious at how the others would react when he got back.

"Yeah, I am willing to spend the night there. He might be a bit pompous and spoiled but hey, reinstating a family takes effort." Iteral leans through the window to give Matsu a hug first, followed by a simple clock. "Going to miss your banter, the house will be a lot more silent without you. Here, if you need a second chance. Take care." She smiles, then going back to give Rūkasu the same hug. "And you, ehhh, let's see..." She hands him a paper, it wrote:
Visit us soon again! I'll make you some nice food! - Iteral
I wish you farewell, sky gazer. May clouds not obscure your thoughts, so that you can glance into the sky and the past. - Alter

The writing was also different. Iteral's was messy, jittery and all that. Alter meanwhile was very clean, a fine example of calligraphy.

"Thank you very much, Iteral. It was really great meeting you!" She laughed, waving and driving off. "What a spritely daughter you have, Mona."

"Mhm." Mercy watched through the window during the ride home, thinking about her family. She was so full of joy- why must her family be ripped apart from her? Sure, they all had homes to go to, but everything would be fragmented. At the end of the day, she was the most selfish person she knew. She felt that not even Ambrose's selfishness during the war could compare to how she felt about everyone around her. Her thoughts consumed her on the way back to the cottage, she forgot about anything else in that moment. They had arrived already, although she still didn't see that, staying seated.

Mercy continued to be absorbed by her thoughts- that is, until she felt Scaramouche watching her. She snapped out, like she was in a trance, and smiled at him. "Oh, I'm sorry." She quickly got out and went inside, walking upstairs to put Eclipse to bed. Matsunaga followed close behind, already having gotten dressed in her demon slayer uniform. "There we go. Much better. Here, Caspian. Let's get you into some pajamas."

"You seem especially upset, Mona."

"I'm just thinking is all." Matsunaga chuckled, pulling Mona away from Caspian for a moment and handing her the portal gun.

"When you're ready." Mercy hesitated, and then nodded, walking to the closet.

While Mercy was gone, Matsunaga turned to Scaramouche. "Now you too are separated for a moment, I wanted to ask you something. Do you really plan on leaving in the morning..?"
