Mare slumped against the railing, sitting on the balcony. She ran through every exercise the doctor had taught her. She envisioned herself crushing her feelings. Forcing it into a shard of ice that she dropped off the balcony. Mare looks down at her hands, so ghostly and pale in the pure sunlight. She forces her worries and anxiety down. But the pangs of loneliness soon return.
His smile has a grip on me <3

Rui looked at the bracelet for a bit, quite enticed by it until she was introduced to her room. Normally, she would be left in shock for a while if it wasn’t for her extreme exhaustion. As soon as she saw a bed, she walked over to it and fell onto it. Her eyes immediately closed, but she didn’t go to sleep. She was curled into a small little ball as she laid on the bed, her stomach growling like crazy. She really shouldn’t have done that, now she was exhausted and more hungry than before. Well... maybe she could think for a bit, come up with something that she could do for the games. Now that she had that small hint of kindness, she didn’t want to die. Akiro seemed nice, but he didn’t look like he wanted a companion... She would just have to find a way to survive without killing anyone, even if she died in the end.

Lesia didn’t mind the bracelet, in her opinion, it was pretty cool. She entered her room and gasped when she saw how marvelous it was. Like a lot of other tributes, she was attracted to the bed. She slumped down on it and closed her eyes. “Man... I’m stuffed!” She said happily before drifting off to sleep

Echo seemed indifferent to everything, her face back to it’s blank, emotionless stare, in one hand, she held a bowl of Ellie’s curry, and the other wearing the bracelet. Pushing open the door, she stepped into the room. It was disgustingly bright and cheery. Echo shut the door behind her, before waving her hands, and creating harsh shadowy features of tigers and bloodshed and the likes of it. Her room contrasted enormously from everyone else’s, as she allowed a small part of the room to remain cheery, a reading corner, right by the window.

Suvansh spotted and went into his room, which was exactly in the middle of the floor, between everyone else. As he entered, there was a pang of relief and he jumped onto the bed. At least a good accommodation before I probably die. He sent out Flare, whom he had to bring back into his pokeball while disboarding the train. Suvansh couldn't stay lone anymore. He needed some friends, even if it meant certain betrayal. At least he would have some company before death, even if faked. His friendly soul could no longer see everyone with those mistrusting eyes. He went into the corridor, hoping someone would be there. Someone who is willing to talk to him...

Akiro stayed on his bed for awhile, staring at the ceiling. Eventually, he grew tired of this. Even if he wasn't going to make friends before or duing the games, he needed to learn about the others. He couldn't let them have the advantage. He had tried that on the train, however, and had failed miserably, even starting to get close to Rui in some form. That. couldn't. happen. If he was making it out alive, he had to be careful. Get to know them, but not make friends. How else was he supposed to know if they were hiders, all-out fighters, or even had abilities? He finally sat up, got off the bed, and stalked into the hallway. He would find someone, and start there.

Suvansh walked about for a while, anticipating someone would show up. He finally saw the Akiro boy, who had accidentally sat on his table in the train, come out of his room. Suvansh moved towards his direction, but keeping his distance, so as to not be invading his privacy or to not make him uncomfortable. He inspected him for a moment. He was here for a convo, too. Suvansh just knew, how he wasn't going anywhere else directly, so he had nothing else to do really. "Hey." He approached, calmly.

Akiro was surprised by Suvansh, and turned around quickly. He relaxed a bit, realizing that it was just him. "Hey," he said carefully, eyeing the other boy suspicously. Did they have the same intentions? Or were his worse? Akiro knew he could never be too careful. After all, despite what people said, there was nothing wrong with being a little paranoid. Kept your head on your shoulders. "Always expect the worse," he thought. He folded his arms, waiting for Suvansh to continue.

"How have you been?" Suvansh asks with a slight smile, just expecting a friendly conversation. He slumped against the wall a bit, otherwise kept his eyes towards Akiro, lifting his chin slightly. He then thought he would be looking a bit stupid, so he regained his stance and stood up normally.

"As fine as I could be after learning I was walking to my death," Akiro said carefully. This boy confused him. He acted like he was trying to hide something, but was being rather casual with him. He figured it was his imagination, but was that how people saw him? Was he that akward? Akiro inwardly shook his head. As long as he was careful, it didn't matter.

Suvansh nodded with knowingness (was that a word?). Who won't be paranoid at this moment? Psychopaths? Was there any around? He didn't really want to know. If anything, existence of psychopaths will main a quicker death anyways. Suvansh tries to continue the conversation "Did you ever even want to come here?" He didn't know what better to ask, and it felt like a valid question, a question of concern kind of.

Akiro wasn't sure about how willing he was to continue the conversation, but he figured it would be rude and he had walked out with the intent of getting information. "Not really." Maybe if he revealed just a little about himself, after all, he had explained his entire history to a 12 year old so adding something small wouldn't hurt, "My dad died in the games so this place isn't the fondest for me." He glanced at the Peacekeepers stationed in the hallway, wondering how they would react. "..You?"

Rui heard very faint footsteps and talking near the entrance, causing her to perk up slightly. She slowly opened her eyes and got them adjusted to the light, then lifted her head to try and hear them better. She assumed it was two people based on the amount of unique voices she heard, but she didn’t know for sure. From what they said so far, it seemed like they were trying to strike up a casual conversation. She couldn’t help but continue to eavesdrop, it was pretty much the only thing she could do right now instead of praying she could sleep.

Suvansh's eyes softened. So his dad was a tribute...and he died... He felt sorry for Akiro, and then started wondering what if his dad was actually selected...and what if he died. He shook those thoughts away when he was asked about himself. "I had a dream, to come here, to win and make my family proud, carrying on our lineage...but now it just feels it will remain a dream. Everyone just cares about winning. No one cares about friendships. I didn't have many friends earlier, but neither did I have any enemies. I just feel so... uncomfortable....standing between people who just wants to kill me..." He then realised it was no longer just his mental thoughts, or talks with Flare. He was speaking to a human, another tribute just like him. Someone who could very well fall under the "everyone" he mentioned. To counter his sudden verbal lashing, he asked, "would you be my friend?" He did not know how better to distract Akiro from his distress. He was so uncomfortable all of a sudden. He started fidgeting with his hands, not making eye contact with Akiro.

Well that was akward. It apeared that this guy seriously needed a friend. Akiro...well, he didn't really know how to respond. He couldn't just say flat out, no, I don't want to be your friend. But he knew he couldn't risk forming that bond with someone. At first, he was silent, which just made it akward. He first tried to explain. "Look....you seem like a nice guy. But my dad.." he paused, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't make friends, but I-" Don't say it Don't say it Don't say it, "I guess we could allign, for now. Seems like you need someone to talk to." His eyes hardened, and he mentally beraded himself, a voice screaming into his mind. That was the dumbest thing he could have done. He was going to end up like his dad, dead because he trusted.

Suvansh started feeling awkward and embarrassed. Why did I have to do that. Why can't I keep a zip to my mouth? He wanted to tell Akiro he didn't have to do it, that he could leave him alone, that he wouldn't care, but in reality, he actually needed it, and appreciated it. He gives Akiro an embarrassed smile and raised a hand, for a handshake kind of gesture, if Akiro was willing. He realised how much he was liking Akiro's presence, and how much he would hate if he was the one to kill him... Neither did he now want to kill him. He started realising why Akiro could be hesitating. He felt even more embarrassed guilt and shook his head down.

Akiro didn't return the smile, but he akwardly shook his hand. He saw the guilty look in his eyes, and that made him feel even more akward. What was he supposed to say to reasure him that he wasn't trying to be rude? That just made him angry, as those things often did. Why couldn't he just say what he had to say, without stumbiling over his words? He clenched his teeth, and said slowly, "Well...guess I'll see you soon. Name's Akiro."

Suvansh nods and says "I'm Suvansh. Nice to meet you." He wanted to hug Akiro, like he did to his cousin whenever they met, but he felt it would be...too awkward and weird... Provided that he didn't even smile back to him.

Rui didn’t exactly feel refreshed, but she felt determined to go outside. Well... first she had to do something about whatever she was wearing. These clothes really weren’t that comfortable... She slowly got off the bed and made her way over to the dresser, which had a variety of clothes she could wear. She just took the first one that looked her size and put it one, not minding how plain it was. Wow... that was so much better... She walked over to the door and slowly opened it, only to be greeted by Akiro and Suvansh. Akiro looked like he was about to leave, but she wasn’t so sure about Suvansh. The awkward tension in the air was easy to recognize, which made her a bit nervous. She looked at the two for a second, then took a few steps forwards to go to wherever they kept the water.

Suvansh started backing off when he saw Rui, the little girl pop out of her room. A pang of sadness touched his heart. So small, yet living alone in so big rooms. Most likely to be dead not a few days later. He wanted to hug her, he wanted to squeeze her and tell her she could leave the horrid place, and live how she must, but he knew he wasn't the one under control here. He started pacing around the corridor. Meanwhile, Flare grew as restless like Suvansh does at times, and came out of their rooms. The peacekeepers moved towards him but Suvansh ran to him, and pushed out an open palm, a fair warning not to come closer. Something seemed to happen, the peacekeepers were pushed aback a bit, as if a gust of air just smacked them behind. Suvansh didn't notice it as such, though he raised an eyebrow at them backing off so quick. Nevertheless, he started petting Flare, in the corridor.

Hearing the sounds of footsteps, Akiro's head turned and he saw Rui. "Hey-" he cut short when he saw Suvansh's strange creautre hurry out of one of the rooms. He had seen those animals once in awhile, they were quite rare and he wasn't sure what exactly they were. When the guards stumbled back, Akiro took note of that. Some kind of ability...but what?
