Nera, still wrapped in a blanket, had left her dorm after drawing
some lines on her clothes using permanent marker, just so she
remembers where to cut the wing and tail holes. Right now, she had
gone looking for something sharp to cut with. Some scissors, a
knife, anything sharp enough will do.
Humming a small jaunty tune, Noel made a quick stop at their dorm
room to change into clothes that would hide bloodstains. While
their current outfit was cute and all, the transparent material
made blood show up pretty easily. They settled for a black biker
jacket, the faux leather proving in the past to be easy to wash
out. It would go well with the new pair of ripped jeans that they
had made themselves a few weeks back in preparation for a follower
goal cosplay. The look was a bit more grunge than what they would
usually go with but they liked the bad boy kind of look it had.
Doing a quick once over in the full body mirror they kept in their
room, Noel let out a little satisfied trill an inhuman sound in the
back of their throat. With an outfit prepared, materials would have
to be prepared as well. Multiple types of bags were neatly folded
up and placed into their bag, a change of clothes taking up another
section. A lighter, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, their trusty
butterfly knife, as well as a multitool were added into the bag
along with pepper spray. That would probably suffice for what Noel
had in mind and they remembered to grab their phone and keys before
leaving their dorm, making sure to lock the door behind them.
As they made their way outside, they squinted their eyes when a
shapeless blob roamed the hallways. Normally they would have
disregarded it as another Monster class student but due to the
recent breach of security, no one could be too sure. With one hand
resting over the flap of their bag, ready to flick it open and grab
their knife, Noel crouched down low to try and see what the weird
thing was doing. Was that... a sheet thrown over them? Weird
disguise but who was Noel to judge. Afterall, not everyone had the
luxury of choosing what face to wear for the day

"A-alright." Demi replied softly, her cheeks now a flustered red.
Why did she always say such stupid stuff? Shaking her head, the
teen ran to the basement once again. Now standing in front of the
door, she reached out to open it, but paused. This was quickly
turning into a big case of deja-vu, wasn't it? And if it was, why
was she just okay with it, especially considering what happened
last time.
Demi took a step back from the door, her eyes narrowing at it.
Yeah, something was definitely off about this whole situation, she
just wasn't quite sure what.
Nera had looked around, noticing some humanoid figure in the dark.
She tried turning around, but tripped on her blanket and almost
fell, but luckily regained balance before she did. Adjusting the
blanket a bit, she approached the human.
There was a moment of fear when they were found out, hand already
opening the bag before it stilled once Noel took a good look at the
face approach. A monster course student then, a useful ally to have
though with how uncertain she was walking, probably a newly turned
student. as they took note of the reptilian features, wary eyes lit
up as they clapped their hands in excitement. "Oh. My. Gosh. You
look adorable, what's your name?" They gushed, standing up abruptly
to hurry over. Walking around Nera in awe, Noel took stock of
unique appearance though they did have to crane their head to see
everything.
Nera... didn't know what to think of this. Half of her felt like
roasting this person (quite literally) where they stood, but the
other half actually liked that someone was actually being nice to
her for once in the most recent years of her life. So, she just
blepped for a few seconds while smoke trailed from her nose, as she
had a difficult-to-read expression on her face (which seemed to be
of confusion mixed with some happiness, mixed with a tiny bit of
annoyedness). After she paused for a bit, she spoke.
"Oh, that's a super cute name! I'm Noel but my name changes all the
time anyway so you don't have to remember it if you don't want to."
They tittered, finally making one full circle to stand back in
front of Nera. "But seriously, you have got to get better clothes
though, that bedsheet ain't doing any favours for you." The blunt
delivery of their words was accompanied by the opening of Noel's
bag as they took out their previously packed clothes. Holding it
up, their eyes darted back and forth between Nera and the clothes
before they clicked their tongue. "Warm colours would go well with
you and you could totally rock the grunge style but cottagecore
could work too. Pants would be difficult with that tail of yours so
skirts and dresses? But the silhouette might get lost and that's
one of your charm points so you'll probably want to modify them but
how to do that while still being practical..." Lost in their
clothing and fashion-related musings, they began to walk again,
circling Nera and making rough calculations.
"Uhuh, but do they even fit? I'm pretty sure you weren't like, 8
feet or something before." Noel hummed carefully stepping over
Nera's tail. "But if you really want to keep your old clothes, come
to my room. I'll properly sew you holes instead of you cutting up
perfectly good fabric willy nilly." Their little outing would have
to wait for another day but they didn't feel all that bad about it.
It wasn't like they absolutely had to go out right now,
there were other ways to satisfy the persistent itch under their
skin that called for warm blood and chaos
Crouching down, Noel popped open the suitcase and began looking
around. In their experience, larger clothes tended to be blander
and less visually stunning. Damn capitalism and the unrealistic
beauty standards created by white men looking for eye candy. "Well,
it's a start. You're gonna hafta buy some better stuff though I can
see a few in here that really won't fit and the rest are just ugly.
You've got a really pretty slim figure but most of the clothes in
here are too baggy and hide your pretty points. Of course, I can
alter them but what's your style anyways? Just rolled out of bed
and put on the first thing I saw? Preppy kid out to walk the family
chihuahua? My life is terrible brand of emo? If you don't tell me,
I'm just going to tailor them into clown clothes or something."
About to turn away, Demi suddenly gasped at the streams of crimson
flowing out from under the door. A thick, metallic scent hit her
nose, and she felt like she was going to be sick. In a split
second, the door to the basement was flung open, and Demi was
trying her best to sneak down the stairs. Her hands were charged
with flowing, violet sparks, just in case.
Her expression darkened significantly once she heard the student's
voice. He played her for a fool again! Electricity began swirling
around Demi's fingers as her anger festered. She struggled to her
feet, despite the protests from her aching body.
"What the heck is wrong with you?!" She screeched.
