They hummed, letting the other know that they were listening but
didn't really move from their place at the foot of the bed. It
was... difficult to say the least. Sometimes with all the disguises
they could pull on at any moment coupled with the many many
personas they wore, Noel couldn't tell what was real about themself
or what was constructed. All they knew was that their teeth ached
to sink into soft flesh, into warm necks and even warmer hearts,
tearing them out and feasting on what little humanity they held.
But to show that, to be that, was something that no one wanted to
see, no matter how villainous they were. "Just... rest up." Noel
finally settled on saying, eyes trained on the lines of chalk. "If
you pass out, I'm gonna use your unconscious body as a bat and
throw you at the hero we ever encounter them."
Lucian let out another stream of curses. He was scrambling to
figure out how the hero was able to dodge all of his attacks
despite being unable to see them. Precognition? Was that even
possible? Perhaps something else? Narrowing his eyes he sent
another volley of attacks, already feeling his skin begin to itch.
Behind the first attack he sent another, waiting a half of a second
to see how the hero would react.
He twirled avoiding the first and gasped a bit as the second came
at him. Luckily he wasn't used to twirling so much as he tripped
avoiding the second. Crashing on his back he grunted before
dropping a smoke grenade to hide.
Lucian grinned as he realized he had caught the hero almost
unaware. He now had a new method of attack. He stumbled as the
smoke burst out from the smoke grenade, squinting to try and catch
even just a glimpse of the hero. He tried to keep his feet silence
as he slowly moved, waiting for the smoke to clear. Ideally he
could encounter the hero before they ran off again. Growing a
little impatient, he finally flung himself in a circle, flicking
poison out in a wide radius, listening to see if the hero had
moved.
Lucian's mouth set into a grim line as he heard a thump, noticing
when dust from the ceiling tile fell down on his face. He had a
trail, keeping himself quiet, he followed after the trail as
efficiently as he could. He made sure to land each step on the
heel, smoothly flowing down to the toe as he walked to keep his
noise down.
Nera had exited the lab, stumbling a few times, but somehow
regaining balance. So far... it's hard getting used to being a
dragon.and being almost twice as tall as she was as a human
Lucian scowled, trying to get in through the ceiling to quickly
follow. He ran against the wall, jumping off and pushing out a
tile. He fell on the ground, hard, a gust of air leaving his lungs
with a raspy gasp. Getting back up on his feet he ran and jumped
off the wall once more, though with significantly less energy. He
barely managed to get a firm grip on a small metal pole and pulled
himself up. He glanced around for another displaced tile, trying to
locate the hero. Spotting the jerk, Lucian dropped from the
ceiling, throwing three more poison attacks. Each attack was timed
half a second apart. He landed with another heavy thud, his arms
now lightly burning from his constant use of his power.
Knowing he was gonna be hit he retaliated by hurling one of his
knives and dodging. He missed the first without any problems. The
second hit him in the side causing him to wince in pain as parts of
his costume burned away. He dodged the third as he had a second for
that.
Lucian let out a husky cry as the knife sliced by his ribcage,
startled for a few seconds. He wasn't sure how to react to almost
dying. It was so close. Trying to swallow down his fear he looked
back up at the hero, trying to fake determination and confidence.
He threw more attackes, trying to cut down in the time in between
as he had noticed the hero dodge the third attack. He could only
hope others would stumble across their fight, though he wasn't sure
the likelihood of his wish.
"Fight me," he chuckles and reaches his arms out, grabbing Noel.
"Hehe, you're like a bug teddy bear." He pulls them down into his
arms and snuggles close before falling asleep again.
"I will bite you." They hissed, flailing around for a moment before
sulkily settling down. Chimichi was lucky that their clothing was
always soft and comfortable, just like what they had been aliked to
- a teddy bear. With a groan, they made themself comfortable on the
bed resigned to their fate as a cuddle buddy. It could be worse,
they supposed, but this was near the bottom of the barrel of things
to be. But maybe a few minutes of just resting would be fine.
Probably. Afterwords, they would be sure to kick Chimichi out of
bed as payback
He was about to lash out and throw more knives only to be lifted by
the neck as Galardon grabbed him, "Well done. You cornered the
hero. Kill him now."
Chimichi was still asleep, dreaming. In his dream he was in a sort
of run down nursery, with chipped paint on the walls, broken toys
and books with pages ripped out, the bright wallpaper faded away
from years of not being replaced. He was back in the orphanage. Out
side he could hear people talking, but was unable to make out what
they said. Finally, he understood something; "Just throw him out.
Nobody is coming for him. All he's doing is wasting air." And as
soon as the man finished, he door opened, and he awoke with a jolt.
He looks around. He sighs. It was only a dream. Looking beside him,
he notices Noel laying there, peacefully asleep. He chuckles,
pulling a blanket over her shoulders and quietly moving to the main
hall for something to eat. He decides to make some spaghetti and
meatballs, simple enough. He begins to boil water and preheat the
oven.
Lucian looked at the hero for a few seconds, his hand drifting to
his wound as he finally let the poison leave his skin and drip on
the floor. He bent over and picked up the knife, ignoring the
twisting feeling in his gut. He was a little confused when Galardon
had ordered him to kill the hero, wasn't that a job better suited
to the more action oriented students? Though staring at the hero he
felt a little frustrated. He just wanted an uneventful day and
instead he got a massive headache, teargassed and stabbed. As he
moved towards the hero he held back a pained hiss as his right
ankle swiftly protested. That probably wasn't good either. His
father's lessons sat in the front of his mind as he rubbed the
knife against his skin, coating it in poison. It hurt, he had
certainly overused his ability. He then stuck the knife in the
hero's chest. If that didn't kill them the poison certainly would.
The hero winced and squirmed for a bit getting slower and slower
before stopping all together as Galardon dropped his corpse to the
ground, "You just took your first real steps to villainy kid. Keep
it up."
Lucian nodded, his breaths deep and his mind suprisingly blank. He
thought he would've felt more in the event of his first kill. He
shook his head, the action barely visible. It was likely that he
was in some sort of shock. He could have easily died and just took
a life, quite an eventful few minutes. His ankle began hurting once
more and he slowly slumped to the ground to relieve the pain. He
hoped the teacher didn't mind. Hopefully it wasn't anything too
disrespectful.
"sorry I am late but i had to protect this dumb student"Matt says
looking around he quickly uses his power and moves as fast as a car
and stabs the heroes arm just a tiny bit (even though he dead ) but
immedetly relizes he left the poor dumb kid alone
