Dustine only listened and stay quiet. She didn't want to get involved in the quarrel and she never liked talking back to older people because she might just get backfired. She put a hand on Tirik's shoulder. "Let's just go," she said, then realised she forgot the herbs she was supposed to pick. She facepalmed for being such a forgetful person and approached the teacher. "Ummm... sir? I have to pick some things for a while," she showed him a paper with the list of plants and one of the other teacher's name on it. "Is it fine if I go get them a bit? I promise I won't take long," she said. She didn't want to get in trouble with her other teacher and maybe to calm herself down a little. She was hoping he would understand and let her go.

Merek slowed down a bit to get closer to Dustine. "Don't you think Her Highness' well-being is more important than some herbs? Won't you run away if he lets you pick up some herbs?" He whispered to her. Sure,they were friends,but they just met and Merek had no way of knowing whether Dustine would keep her mouth shut or not. Wouldn't it be for the best to show the Queen herself?

Tirik nearly hissed at the girl, then seemed to change his mind. "I can go with her to help of she gets attacked." It didn't seem like to much of a request, and more of an order. His tail coiled tighter around itself .

Dustine shivered in fear. "Yes, maybe, but that teacher is not the ice mage for a reason," she whispered back. She knew what would happen if she didn't bring the things she things he wanted. She didn't want to, really she hated being told around and her mind was very curious of what's currently going on. "Unless, you can ask her to spare me," she whispered. Then she looked at Tirik. "It's fine, I can go alone. I've been doing so for quite a while now," she said. But, really, she hoped she can get away with it.

Puzzle’s face scrunched up into a stubborn mess. “We’ll all wait here.” He decided after a few moments of thinking. His gaze bore the same parent-like authority it always seemed to have, shooting passive aggressive glances at Tirik and Dustine. Puzzle adjusted his gloves and looked behind him. “I’ll tell Mr Charlie later.” His gaze softened for a moment, then his back stiffened back to its usual posture, his arms folded with authority.

Dustine let out a sigh of relief, happy to have been taken the weight off her shoulders. At least, she can let that go and figure out what's going on. She looked at the teacher, even when she was a student of the magic academy, she surprisingly never seen this teacher before. "I'm sorry I'm asking this, it's just I'm curios and I've never really seen you before. Are you teaching any classes?" she asked the teacher politely.

Merek sighed as he sat down with his legs crossed. "What're we going to wait here for?" he said in a very child-like tone,pouting. He occasionally kelt patting his robe to make sure the letter was still there. Just who would want the Queen dead?

“Mage school, teaching kids like Merek to be Mages to protect the Kingdom.” Puzzle answered simply, the bitterness left his voice and was replaced with intrigue. He appeared more approachable for a second, the colours of his clothes looked far more fresh and bright.

Merek's face brightened up hearing that from a teacher. His pride suddenly got a huge boost but kept it to him. "What are we going to wait for,sir?" He asked,still sitting down. "Didn't the teacher want us to return to the school a moment ago?" he thought to himself.

“Waiting for that one to grab the herbs, right?” He tried to disguise his uneasy glance. “I’m taking these back with us because I’m not sure I want word about this.. corpse getting out.” Puzzle’s voice sounded more relaxed now, his gaze and tone only hardening when his eyes rest on the ones he didn’t know the name of.

His eyes were fixed on Dustine as he turned his head to look at her. Merek was afraid of her pulling something and running away. Of course, she lacked the evidence and he didn't want to think of the consequences. He had already picked some of the herbs required but not all,had it been under other,less important circumstances he would have already picked them up.

"Fuaafuh.... What's with all this noise?" A sleepy voice floated from the ground, rustling sounds heard as someone sat up from the cool ground of the alcove. Having been hidden from plain sight by his dark attire and the shadows, Ritsu rose from his resting place, stumbling over to tip his head and regard those who had interrupted his nap. "There's a price to pay for waking up a vampire you know~" He warned, lips pulling back to reveal sharp teeth flashing in the low light.

“Ritsu,” Puzzle’s voice was trying to be relaxed as he spoken, his gaze staring through the Vampire. “Look begins you.” Puzzle continued, the cave with the corpse behind the to-be Mage. The lid of his head twitched slightly while his eyes rest on the body resting on the ground, trying not to twitch as his eyes watched the sickening body.

Merek startled and turned his head to face Ritsu. "Can you at least warn us?" he clutched his fist,feeling embarrassed. "How long have you been here?" His heart skipped a beat. "It's like you came out of that corpse..."

"You're no fun, teach. You think I can't smell a rotting body?" He yawned rubbing the back of his head as he relaxed, slouching. Eyes flicking over to Merek, Ritsu grinned and teasingly roared at the shaking boy. "You'll never knew~ I'm everywhere and no where at the same time you know." Chuckling to himself, he let out another yawn. It was way too early to be awake. Here he was skipping class on purpose since his remedial classes were at night, but he just had to be kicked awake at an unpleasant time in the morning.

"Could it also be that you killed this person?" His expression changed to a bit more curious. His felt quite tense given Ritsu's jumpscare. He patted his robe to make sure the letter was still there. "Oh! Did we perhaps wake you up?" he said teasingly. Something like that wouldn't really affect Ritsu but that way he could calm down again.

Really? Did he really think that Ritsu would have killed someone? Well, he couldn't really blame Merek, Ritsu was a bit of a mystery even among his class and no one could really say that he didn't kill the poor dude. Yawning, he nodded absentmindedly. He paused after the second question however, frowning at how spot on the guess was. Despite his ability to accurately pinpoint people and their inner thoughts, he himself didn't like getting seen through like glass.

Glancing across Ritsu, Tirik gave a small smile, then said, "Perhaps I'll need to take a closer look at the body in question.. Surely you won't mind if I slip inside the cave for a moment, would you, sir Puzzle?" His coils were writhing, his anticipation clear on his serpentine face.

Merek burst out laughing as he noticed Ritsu's arrogant and haughty attitude immediately change upon hearing the second question. "A hit too close to home,eh?" he chuckled. He snapped back and tried to remain quiet and stop laughing,given a teacher was present, but his sudden change was just too funny.

Tirik winced at the sudden sound. He almost wrapped his coils around the boy instead, but simply said, "Warn me next time you decide to be loud. I'll cover my ears." Not waiting for the teacher to respond, he started towards the cave.
