Sorrento barked in laughter and ran a hair through his hair. "Well, don't let me stop you. I'm sure you could break my neck with one twist of those arms of yours." He shrugged, stepping aside to let Pearl in. Taking a glance back towards Julian, Sorrento didn't think that he'd ever be 'okay' after what had happened, and they'd need a lot of work to get back into a semblance of a normal life after this, but Sorrento had watched the games. He knew vaguely who Pearl was and she had stuck with his beloved in the arena so he hoped that her presence would also help Julian gain a little more awareness of his surroundings.

Julian winces at the question, knowing that the answer isn't exactly pretty. "I think I'm fine? They didn't do very much to me." He replied truthfully. "And you? I hope you're doing well to. Missed you."

"Orchird. Oh, you're uh... the sister of the dude who helped my brother out, right? The one that can do the cool things with plants." Mu snapped his fingers in recognition.

Nodding in understanding, Julian leaned into the touch slightly, closing his eyes. "Yeah, I do too." He murmured, light pink dusting his cheeks as well. Sorrento watched with a light huff, eyes narrowed as he observed. He wasn't angry, no. he was more curious than anything.

Julian eyebrows furrowed, eyes opening up in confusion. "Yes? I like to think that I have feelings?"

Rolling his eyes in exasperation, Sorrento gently kicked the bed, jostling the other two slightly. "What she means is if you like like either of us." He explained, grimacing at how childish those words were. But for the 15 years that they've known each other, Sorrento knew this was the only way Julian could grasp the concept of romantic love without any misunderstandings.

"Oh." There was a beat of silence before Julian flushed and scratched his neck. "Yeah, I do."

“Julian heard you both when we ran into some rather hysterical jabberjays.” Aelia explained. She had excused herself from the medic, although the low edge of irritation hadn’t quite left her voice. She was dressed in her usual arena attire. Her hackles lowered as she turned to Sorrento, “You must be Sorrento, then.”

Suddenly a small woman walks into the medical wing. One could tell from looking at her that the she is old. But her real age is drastically older, she wears makeup and has her long silverly hair dyed back to it's original red. A few silver strands peek out, but she makes it look good. She is obviously related to Harlow. Even her confident build is similar. Hiding your fears must run in the family. Although Harlow's cracks has been starting to show a bit more these past few days. Her eyes fall on Harlow's bed. She walks over to Harlow and smacks her. "Ouch!" Harlow responds, she sits up glaring at her for a second before she gasps. "Gran!" She shouts, throwing her arms around the small woman.
"That's for scaring the living daylights out of me!" Gran shouts. She shakes her head. "God... Harlow you could've died!" She adds. Harlow flushes, feeling bad even though she shouldn't. "I'm so glad you are okay" Gran cries, her voice breaking slightly.
"Me too" Harlow responds smartly

Leaf watched in interaction between Harlow and her granmother unfold wordlessly before a ten year-old jumped on Leaf's bed. "Fern! You're safe!"

Fern looked at Leaf with the same emerald eyes, though hers had golden flecks. "I wasn't scared, I knew you'd be okay."

Ariel looked at Aelia. "I see."

"Don't tell them!" Julian yelped, face flushing as he whined into his hands as embarrassment crawled over his face. It was clear that the actions that had transpired within the jabberjay room was something he was perhaps a bit too embarrassed about. And really, Aelia had a front row seat to knowing who the two most precious people in his life were, albeit a very terrible front row seat.

Sorrento laughed it off, bumping shoulders with Julian as he gave Pearl a look. He had caught her intent to propose something and the gaze he gave her promised that it would be addressed later. "Right, I'm Sorrento. You're the girl with the scythe from District 2. Aliea am I correct?"

Let's finish up this small convo then we can time skip))

(Im doing a time skip)

It was two weeks into the war and people were settling in.

Ariel, Julian, and Sorrento were sharing a room. Ariel was relaxing in the tub provied in their room, though Ariel wished it was bigger so she could swim around in it. She was mostly sumerged in the water, the silver fins sticking out of the edge of the tub. That's how Julian found Ariel when he walked in on her, unintinealy of course. Ariel didn't seem phased, but rather stuck her tounge at him teasingly. "There's room for one more~" Ariel cooed teasingly.

Flare was with her daughter and Blaze, both were teaching Autumn how to walk and talk.

Leaf and Harlow were snuggling their nightmares away in their room, Leaf was still suffering form the PTSD, like the others, but hers seemed worse.

Julian flushed heavily, pushing down the embarrassment that flooded over him as he tore his gaze away from the alluring sight. "I-I'm good." He stammered, reaching up for the medicine cabinet. Fumbling with a band-aid, he clumsily patched up a ugly looking gash on his palm. It had been a kitchen accident, a lapse of concentration causing a knife to slice into his hand. Teal eyes darted around, never really landing on Pearl's exposed body as he worked.
