"I swear, if I have to room with anybody who's a slob, I'm
leaving." Lumia decided right then and there, turning to look back
out the window again. "Just a warning." She yawned.
Fox feels an ache in his back, but keeps going. He might not be
able to make up precious milliliter of gas that we wasted stopping
for a rest. He looks at his maps again, and sees that the academy
should be about 5 or 6 more miles along. He keeps going, and
realises just barely how relaxing the sound of a motor on a highway
was.
(Whoever jumped ahead to the academy is alright, I might not have
wifi for awhile so I just wanted to update you all. I'm glad to see
everyone is still keeping this thing going. I hope when I return I
see this thing still pushing on!)
Fox feels his back ache even more, but keeps pushing. Now only 2
miles from the academy, he could really feel the toll of riding
throughout his body. He feels the air rush by, his hair flying
around the place. He feels the rest of the mile disappear within
minutes, and then the next one, and then sees the academy. He parks
the motorbike somewhere where he would remeber it, and takes the
keys, placing them in his pocket and walking into the academy
grounds. He looks around, but can’t seem to find them. He couldn’t
even remember what they looked like. Driving for that long could do
things to a mans memory.
Prof and Cody finished sparring, and put the swords away. They go
to the private training arena to work on cody’s skills with element
wielding.
Aluin had been in the academy for a while now. However, he would
frequently get lost or end up in places he wasn't allowed to be in
mainly because he lacks the attention span to pay proper attention
to his surroundings. In this case it's the former. 'I am utterly
and completely lost in this building.' he thought to himself and
frowned. Before he knew it he was stood still frowning down a
hallway while lost in his thoughts.
Prof gifts Cody terra powers, and creates two swords from the arena
floor. “Your move. If you can’t beat me in a crossing of blades,
then you will no longer need to train with swords, and we can
resume teaching you how to use the other elements.”
Cody grabs one of them, and makes it longer and skinnier usin* the
terra abilities. He then slashes a few times, and feels the
movement around him. He slashes at Prof, and feels as the two
swords collide.
They continue to clash for ten more minutes, until Prof clutch’s
his sword, and Cody loses his terra abilities for the time being.
Aluin eventually snaps out of his zoning out. He wildly looks
around as if startled, when he sees nothing out of order or anyone
for that matter he decides to just try to look around and see if
something sparks his memory. As he is leisurely making his way
around he hears something that sounds like fighting and despite his
instincts telling him to just keep moving his curiosity gets the
better of him. He ends in the dojo and stares at Prof and Cody. He
is hesitant to go inside as he doesn't want to interrupt anything
but he is curious so in the end he doesn't budge at all. He tilts
his head slightly to the right but as soon as he does a red strand
of hair flops right into his eyesight and he tries to blow it back
up before giving in and using his hands to tuck it back up.
Lumia yawned and leaned back against the seat. "Wake me up when
we're getting out or whatever." She grumbled, almost immediately
passing out afterward.
Aluin takes a sharp breath, his light green eyes widen and a slight
tremor of fear goes through him as he hesitantly shakes his head.
He didn't mean to interrupt, he really didn't. No one has ever
reacted to him like that and like a deer caught in headlights he
can't bring himself to do the one thing he usually can, run.
Fox walks around, and accidentally walks right into Aluin. “Sorry.”
He immediately yelps, then he sees prof and Cody. He yelps again,
And His hands suddenly catch alight. He backs away towards the
hall, feels the ground shift uneasily.
Prof is shaking, and the ground stops, all his energy spent. “I
don’t care if there is a chance they didn’t know anything, but they
need to be taken care of.” He stands there, waiting for something
to happen.
Cody holds out his sword, and walks towards Aluin. “Sorry, but a
lot more is at stake here than you realise. If he didn’t send you
here, then you shouldn’t be here.”
Too distracted to pay any attention to Fox Aluin stares at Cody.
His eyes are wide as he makes himself move a step back and then
suddenly something shifts. Aluin's eyes become unfocused as if
somewhere else for a couple of seconds, when he snaps back he is no
longer afraid. His lips move but no noise comes out. He lets
instinct take over and using his power zips around Cody and pushes
him forward, quickly moves to Cody's side, then trips him and backs
off into a corner of the room where his back is covered. His
breathing is off and his heart beats a rapid tempo.
Fox blasts flames towards prof. “Who are you, I remember you from
somewhere, but where?”
Cody gets up, and dashes at Aluin, slashing at him with his sword.
Aluin rolls out of the way of Cody's sword just barely managing to
not have anything more hacked off than a strand of hair. He huffs,
he likes his hair thank you very much. Aluin stands up and grimaces
at the first idea that flashes into his mind but it's all he's got.
He runs in a circle in one spot as fast as he can until he achieves
what he wanted to, a pretty violent mini tornado that pulls almost
everything in. It was risky and careless but Aluin felt the need to
take the risk not just for himself. He didn't want anyone to die.
He had moved away to a spot that wouldn't hinder him too much and
briefly wished he knew more about himself and his powers. While
thinking he leaves himself almost completely open.
Prof makes the ground form a shield around him. “Everyone stop
fighting this instant!!! It is obvious that this is getting
nowhere.”
Cody stabs his sword into the ground to avoid being sucked in, but
ends up being shot from the tornado to the floor.
Aluin breathes a sigh of relief at Prof's words and dashes towards
the tornado and through it a couple of times until it disperses
completely. He hesitantly moves over to Cody and offers a hand up,
fully expecting to have it either ignored or slapped away.
Cody takes it, and goes to stand over by Prof.
Fox’s hands go out, and he smiles. “So, looks like, you really
don’t want to die.”
Prof looks at everyone here. “It is obvious that you two are to
remain here with us. Cody is rusty, and he needs to learn from
people who actually know how to use the powers he is learning.”
Aluin grimaces. He doubts there is anything to learn from him. He
doesn't even know all that much about himself and it's not like
she ever helped with his powers. The only lesson that he
ever took to heart was "It's wrong to kill, but sometimes
necessary..." he mumbles out loud without noticing. Aluin freezes
up as soon as he processes that he spoke and then collapses onto
himself grabbing his head as if in pain. His mind is jumbled chaos,
everything becomes white noise, he is no longer in the present.
'Please, please! Get me out!' he screams in his mind as if anyone
can hear him.
