Fox looks at Cody. “Um, sure. I mean, as long as nobody attacks me
here.”
Prof nodds. “And is you.” He points at Aluin. “Will you stay, or
will you leave.”
Aluin's head snaps up at Prof's voice but he doesn't hear the
words, nor does he see Prof. He raises his hand where electricity
quickly gathers in huge and unstable bursts, he points his hand
straight at Prof and launches the electricity at him. Aluin gasps
as he snaps back into the present at the last second but it's too
late to take back the unstable electric attack. His eyes are wide
and afraid, he makes a strangled noise, he doesn't want to hurt
anyone. Especially not like this, unstable and barely able to
summon the other power up only when he is in deep distress.
Fox blast fire at the electricity, to no avail.
The ground begins to stir, but not fast enough. Prof feels the
energy hit him, and falls backwards against a wall.
Cody lunges towards Aluin, his sword ready to kill.
Aluin doesn't move, he simply closes his eyes and braces himself
for what his weakness has wrought. Sorry won't help here, probably
nothing will. If he could turn back time and stop himself from
losing to the ghost then he would but he can do no such thing. He
knows that it won't make anyone feel better but he's responsible
and whichever way Cody wants him to take responsibility he will. He
has to. It was his fault.
Cody slams the round, cylindrical blade into Aluins side. “Do you
know why we use these type of swords? Because they cause far more
pain than a normal sword. So, what’s the big idea? Attacking prof?”
Aluin grunts as he takes the hit. He opens his mouth but
immediately snaps it shut afraid of losing control again and
hurting someone else. But he also doesn't know how to communicate
without something to write on and write with. He can't answer Cody
even if he wanted to, not without putting someone else at risk. He
hesitantly makes a writing motion with one of his hands.
Aluin sighs and looks at Cody almost intensely and then raises his
eyebrow trying to convey "Why do you think I don't talk?" to his
question without having to actually speak. As if the spectacle that
just happened wasn't enough to show why Aluin won't speak. Speaking
means a chance of what haunts his mind being true. An experience is
always more real when you speak of it. Maybe he'll get over it one
day but that day is certainly not today.
Aluin nods at Cody in confirmation that what he says is correct.
Aluin then points at Prof with a guilty and questioning expression.
He can only hope that Prof will be okay. Without any proper way to
communicate he can't really ask what now but he wishes he could.
Zancrow, Hadrian, And Venom stood in the south end of the academy
behind the wall. They all grinned as Venom raised a finger and the
wall exploded cussing a loud boom
Lumia kicked open the door and burst out of the vehicle, landing on
the ground with a cheerful squeak. "Ready to go." She said
cheerfully, skipping off. Maybe there would be enough time to
attempt her powers. She needed to work on her stamina anyway.
Trey and Dan appear on a platform behind the group, grinning.
“So, we are in agreement that he is here? Right?” Trey asks, making
the ground under the building become mud, making the buildings
begin to collapse.
Dan waits for them to say yes so he can dash in and kill some
people.
Cody pats Aluin on the shoulder. “You need to learn a lot, just
like me. Maybe prof can teach you some things, he knows a lot about
some of the Flayers. The only reason we need you here is because
you might be one of the flayers he doesn’t know about, that I need
to learn about.”
Fox feels a shock wave from the south. “Guys, I think someone
followed me here. I’m sorry, I really am, I didn’t know if they
were following me.” He runs out of the room to go and fight.
Prof feels them. “There are 3 of them. I do not know any of them,
but I feel like I remember one of them from somewhere. But where?”
Aluin directs a grateful smile at Cody. However, he is now very
aware that something else is really going on and it doesn't feel
particularly good. He's not sure what to do in this situation and
his eyes slide over to Prof. He tries to ask for guidance with just
his eyes, he needs to do something, anything at all. He doesn't
feel right sitting around right now.
Aluin takes a calming breath and nods. He decides that the people
attacking right now need to desist. Since he can't control his
electricity powers he will simply try to make himself a direct
target and a distraction. He dashes out to try and find the ones
behind everything and sends an unheard good luck to Prof, Cody and
Fox.
Prof feels himself suddenly okay. He gets up, and feels them
walking in. “Cody, take him and hide. You aren’t ready, not
yet.”
Fox runs and and hides behind a trash can. He waits for them to
pass by so he can shoot them with fire.
Trey and Dan nodd.
