Flayer: The Next Generation

Cody nods, and goes to the armory to grab a sword that was, instead of a sharp blade, a round, cylindrical blade designed for bashing rather than slashing.
Prof and Cody then meat up and go inside the mess hall, and eat lunch.
Dan is treating treys extreme injuries. Trey had first crashed, then some of the platform fell on top of him. He wasn’t going to recover very quickly unless somebody with healing knowledge, and the technology, came and helped.
Cody thinks of something. “Prof, before you teach me to sword fight. I want to know, how long have you used melee weapons.”
Prof frowns. “Let’s just say, since I was strong enough to lift a stick big enough for melee fighting.”
Cody smiles. “So, how long have you been using swords?”
Prof replies. “I don’t know, I think I started using swords when I realised that one of my powers was useless to the flayer’s rights movement, so a long time.”
Cody gulps. “You gonna go easy.”
Prof smiles, “Not a chance.”
Cody barely blocks it. “So, no wonder all of the teachers here respect you. You can practically.” He feels a sudden pain in his arm, and sees that it had been grazed by profs sword. He slashes at Prof, hearing the clank of metal as his blade is knocked from his hands.
Prof smiles. “So, why did you lose? There’s no way I could’ve dont it alone, so how did I win?”
Cody thinks. “You’re a terra, so you probably used your skills to your advantage.”
Prof grins. “Exactly. To a terra swordsmaster, using a sword isn’t just slashing, it is an art that requires complete concentration on your powers and your opponent. I was able to feel the movement of metal in the air, and slow it down just enough so I don’t seem to be using my powers.” He levitates the sword to Cody. “If you could learn sword skills properly, you wouldn’t need to go very fast to get a good hit in.”
They keep sparing, Cody learning more and more about swords.
Fox decides to leave for the academy, because he didn’t want to be attacked. He knew the way now thanks to some maps he had found, and had just barely enough gas in the motor bike to get there once. He grabs an old bag, puts it on his back, inserts the key, starts the motor, and starts to drive towards the academy. He had chosen a motorbike because he hadn’t ever driven, and it was the closest thing to a bycicle.
