Kanti padded up to them. "Hey guys! What did I-" She blinked, seeing the cub. She looked up and tilted her head. "Who's this?"

( Ha that’s fine, I guess things were getting too sad lol)

“ we will wait for Kat to return first, then I suppose we’ll decide what to do next,”Andromeda said, walking to the cub. She nudged him, “ It’s okay, we’ll stick with you,”

Yukio nodded, and looked at Kanti. "H..hello I'm Yukio" he said in a more shy and afraid tone.


"Excuse me..." Kat began, and walked over. The lioness hissed at the newcomer, and narrowed her eyes.

"You have Yukio's scent on you. If you hurt my cub I swear" she began, but cut herself off when Kat glanced over to the other hunter.

"What do you want!" the human asked crossly obviously not taking to the newcomer easily.

Kat blinked "why do you have a golden cat in your cage...I mean its pretty impressive, but why?" he asked coolly.

The stranger growled "none of your business..." he said lowly.

"I think it is if you're hurting, or scaring another living creature" Kat growled angrily, and balled up his fist. "I mean she doesn't look to happy to be in there..."

"It's none of your business hippie" the human snapped, and pulled out a revolver.

Kat instantly froze, he then relaxed. "I have friends nearby...shoot me, and they'll be here" he said lowly.

The human growled once more. "I don't care about your hippie friends. If you want to get this lioness from me you'll need to defeat me" he said lowly.

Kat growled, and turned into a tiger once more "my pleasure" he snarled, and tackled the human. The stranger froze in shock, and dropped the cage. Kat tried to fight the stranger but his partner soon appeared, and growled.

"Stop now" the second human said lowly, and aimed his pistol at Kat's head. Kat turned into a human, and slowly eased off the injured stranger.

"I don't like poachers like you..." Kat snarled lowly. The second stranger then laughed maniacally, and shot his gun at Kat's shoulder.

"Well then...take that as a warning to not stand up for yourself...we'll be back here soon, and if you and your friends aren't gone by then we'll catch all of you" the second human said lowly, and fled the area with the lioness, and his partner. Kat then stumbled back, and held his arm where the bullet hit. He growled, and looked at the blood on the snow. I almost killed another person again...this time for another hunter. Will the others be safe because of my mistake? Possibly...after all those two weren't government just poachers going for the government's reward. They won't try to hunt a forest dry... he thought to himself darkly before he fell into the snow from his injury weakening him. Maybe I'll get lucky, and Yukio's mother is in a zoo... he sighed lowly.

"...Hello. I knew I heard someone. ...You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm-" Kanti cut herself off at the sound of the gunshot. She turned and bolted away towards the noise, shaking slightly.

Andromeda’s blood turned cold at the sound of gunfire. “No!” she barked, jumping to the den entrance. “ Lucia, please stay with Yukio,”, she said as she ran towards the gun shot, behind Kanti.

Yukio watched in shock as the two hunters ran out of the den. He glanced at Lucia in fear, and went over to the coyote in fear.

Kat grunted and looked at the sky, He was cold as he lay in the snow, he tried to ignore the searing pain in his shoulder.

Andromeda ran towards the gun shot sound, and could smell the acrid stench of gun powder. She saw the shape of Kat’s body up ahead, in the snow. “Kat!”, she barked, and she approached his side. She saw the gunshot wound and whined, “ What happened? Can you stand?”, she said, panicked.

Kat growled, and got to his feet. He was still in his human form from when the gun was shot. "I can stand...I just" he said lowly, and growled. "I couldn't save Yukio's mother...and I almost killed a human" he said hollowly.

Andromeda growled, ” If anything it was self defense...”. She said. She brushes up against Kat, “ Please, let me bring you back to the den...”, she said, quieter now. She would worry about the lioness and the humans later.

Kat nodded, and looked at the ground. He decided it would be easier for her to help if he was a tiger. He struggled at first to transform, wincing in pain at the injured shoulder when he transformed. He finally managed to turn into a tiger, and collapsed into the snow. The scent of the human's blood, and his own blood caused him to growled in frustration.

Andromeda nudged Kat with her nose, “ I can carry you if you are human...” , she said, licking his wound. “ Rest a moment before moving again,”, she said.

"I don't think I can turn into a human for a while...it's to painful" Kat said weakly, and continued to look at the blood. "I shouldn't have attacked them...I just wanted to save Yukio's mother...I didn't need to start it" he said quietly.

“ It’s okay, you did what any of us would’ve done..” , Andromeda said, laying down next to Kat to keep him warm. ”We will rest until you can transform, and I will carry you back to the others. ” she said, looking at Kat with concern.

Kat nodded, and sighed. He didn't want to be in the open for long. "I might be able to make it to the cave...it isn't that far." He suggested quietly. "After all we can't stay here long...those guys will return, and I don't want to let them find Yukio..."

Andromeda looked worried, “ Lucia is with Yukio, He’s alright for the moment...at least catch your breath before trying anything,” She said.

Kat sighed, and nodded he looked back at the snow, and stifled a shiver from the cold. "We can't stay in this area for longer than five days. Those humans will return, and they will capture us all. I might have done a number on one of those idiots, but it won't keep us safe for long" he grunted, and closed his eyes.

Andromeda moves closer to Kat, bracing him from wind, “ Can you try transforming again? You will recover more easily in that den with Yukio,” she said. She was worried; their party had gained a child and experienced a major injury. Just stay calm.., she said to herself.

Kat nodded and growled lowly. He then transformed into a human once more with a few moments of growling in pain, and struggling to stay conscious. He then collapsed into the snow as a human, his wound beginning to bleed once more in the process.

Andromeda licked Kat’s wound once more before pushing him up over her shoulders. She began heading back to weds the rocks and the den where Lucia and Yukio lay waiting. She walked quickly, but took care not to jostle Kat’s body. Finally she reached the den and moved
Inside to towards the back of the den. She gently lay Kat onto the floor of the den.

Kat closed his eyes once more when Andromeda put him into the moss. He heard Yukio's concerned whine before he fell into a light sleep. "Is he going to be alright!?" Yukio asked Andromeda in shock, and whimpered in concern, and fear.
