Lucia joined Kanti with a grin, leaping into the snow and digging
into it. Sometimes, the snow mounds were deep enough for her to
bury herself completely. She had the most fun with those.
Andromeda’s ears flicked at Lucia’s comment, “ Don’t say I
didn’t warn you when you’re a coyote-sicle in a few days, “ she
said, trudging on through the snow. She was taller than the amount
of snow on the ground, and her fur kept out most of the moisture.
She scooped up a bite of snow, letting it melt in her mouth.
"You didn't warn me!" Lucia called playfully, leaping out of
the snow and shaking herself out. It didn't help much, as she was
still soaked, but at least running around would warm her up.
Andromeda cracked a small smile as she watched Lucia enjoy the
winter landscape. The snow crunched under her paws, an oddly
satisfying sound. Her ears swiveled as she listened to the area
around her, unnerved by the silence that the blanket of snow
brought to the forest.
"Give it a shot!" Kanti urged, her voice coming from
seemingly nowhere. The camoflauge of her winter coat and the thick
piles of snow on her made her basically invisible.
Andromeda followed the sound of Kanti’s voice, and managed to
locate her smiling face in the snow. Andromeda herself did not
exactly blend in, her black fur standing out despite the decent
amount of snow in her fur. No thanks. I don’t “frolic” well,
” she said, continuing her pace forward.
Kat flicked his tail slightly, and glanced over his shoulder to the
others. He then smirked slyly and tackled a pine tree that held
snow above Lucia, and Kanti. The pile of snow fell off the tree,
and fell to cover the duo.
Andromeda yipped in surprise as the snow hit her in the face. “
Hey!,” she said. She shook her fur, sending all the snow off
in different directions. She bit back a growl when she saw how
happy everyone was. She sighed, then smiled. She fell down into the
snow, rolling over into the white fluff. “ Now we’re all
frosty,” she said, completely submerged.
