Lucia pricked her ears and lifted her head. She tilted her head
towards Kat and frowned slightly. "You okay?" She asked him
carefully, not wanting to overstep any boundaries.
Lucia dipped her head to him as she rested it on her paws again.
"If, and only if you ever want to talk, we're here." She
said softly. "No pressure though." Some things were best
kept secret, she understood.
Lucia shrugged. "I'm not tired anyway." She said brightly,
hopping to her feet and stretching before padding after Kat.
"Just wandering, or do you have a specific place in mind?"
Andromeda watched Kat leave the cave, and Lucia not far behind him.
She rested her head on her paws, listening to the sounds of night
in the forest. I wonder if we could just stay here, in
peace..., she thought wistfully to herself. No. Trouble
always catches up to me.
Kat shook his head "no just wandering aimlessly" he said
softly. He was unknowingly heading toward his old home where he
grew up. Which was a cabin in the abandoned parts of the forest. He
walked past Andromeda silently not knowing if she was awake or not.
"Sounds like fun." Lucia responded cheerfully, flicking her
tail excitedly. She tilted her head up slightly and tasted the air
curiously. She had no idea where she was anymore, everything seemed
so different.
Kat parted his jaws as he walked through the undiscovered part of
the forest. He looked around cautiously as if he were unsure if
this part of the forest was safe or not.
Kat didn't respond at first, he then saw the abandoned, and worn
down cabin through some trees. "It is...humans haven't been here
for 10 human years" he said quietly. He was staring at the
cabin blankly.
Lucia dipped her head slightly and moved a few steps forward,
looking curiously at the cabin. ".. You good?" She asked,
turning her gaze to Kat. "How'd you know that?"
"I was here when they attacked last" he said quietly. He
flicked his tail towards a couple of crudely made grave markers. He
pinned his ears back, and sighed "the humans assumed they killed
the 'beast' in the forest, but in reality I escaped" he sighed,
and waved a paw in a partial air quote.
"Oh.." Lucia flinched. "I had no idea. I'm so sorry."
She sighed and looked at the grave markers. "You really cared
about these humans, huh?" She said softly.
(xD I was already laughing when I thought of that)
Kat shrugged "I did, but life goes on, and my bro-er the young
boy who was assumed to be me...gave me this collar before he
died." he sighed lowly. [i]"If only I knew how to transform
before the fight began...then they'd still be alive" he grumbled
lowly, and went towards the cabin.
