The woman ran to the door and yelled at Shadow. She took out her phone and began to make a call.

Laura got up and looked at the woman from the corner o her eye. She rushed over to Shadow while the woman wasn't looking and picked her up, quickly walking away. "Good job!" She whispered to Shadow.

Luca groaned. "I can't see anything... Who's with you, Remy?" He asked quietly.

Laura rushed to the edge of the city and set Shadow down. "Good work, you were surprisingly useful as pup." She took the baton half out and ran a finger along the skull at the end of it.

Luca blinked. "That's what that is. What happened to my shirt? " He asked.

Luca felt around him. "Well, thanks." He closed his eyes. "Is there any reason why I can't see, Rem?" He asked.

Remy looked at Luca. "I'm not sure if it's permanent or not, your body was beginning to shut down while the poison was in effect. It may or may not have gotten to your eyes before we could cure it."

Laura nodded and transformed, taking flight.

McKenzie looked around then she placed the journal at the library hoping that someone will pick it up, then she hears footsteps, "I hope it's not Shadow", and ran to hide at the corner hoping that she will not be seen.

Laura followed and landed next to Remy. "We got it. Or more like, Shadow got it." She said, looking at Luca.

Luca sat up, but fell over. "Who's here? I can't see, dammit!" He said, frustrated.

Remy sighed. "Calm yourself, it's Shadow and Laura." He looked at Shadow. "Good work, ladies. Let's see the piece."

McKenzie looked around and breathed a sigh of relief, "So close", so McKenzie got out from the corner of the library and walked around a little bit, "Hope Shadow doesn't see me".

Luca growled at Shadow. "What're you doing to me? I don't want your magic." He moved his head away from Shadow.

Remy inspected the piece. "Barely a scratch. Impressive." He put the other piece next to it.

Laura looked at the two pieces. "So, all we need to do is combine them?" She asked Remy.
