A single tear ran down Luca's face. The bleeding had only reduced by a little.

Laura followed Shadow to the library. "Is this it?" She asked, becoming impatient with the search.

Remy came up to Savannah with a small leaf shaped to look like a bowl. He set it down by her hand and explained. "Just rub this on there, he should wake up soon, after that." He sat down and waited for her to apply it.

Laura saw the library. "There, that looks about right." She said, seeing an odd, short rod in the display window.

Luca shuffled, his heart beginning to beat very fast. He broke into a sweat and mumbled a bit.

Remy stood up. "I think it's working, but it's sending his body into a panic. We can only wait for it to pass."

Laura bent down to Shadow and picked her up, entering the library. "You may have to go into my bag if this is a no pets sort of place." She whispered to her as she looked around.

McKenzie read through the journal and still scared from the note, "Why does it say that?", McKenzie got up and began to run to the mansion and then said, "This is where I should hide, hopefully I will be away from the opponent known as Shadow".

Luca rolled over onto his side, his back to Savannah and Remy. His back scars where his wings were were swollen and red. He groaned.

Laura looked at the display window and thought. "Maybe... Do you think you could steal it while I watched over you? I can't steal things here as a human, I'll get arrested for sure." She said to Shadow.

Remy lifted Luca with his snout and laid him onto his back. "Are you awake, old friend?" He asked Luca, putting a large paw on his bare chest.

Luca mumbled something before opening his eyes. He blinked, blocking out the sunlight with his hand. "G-get your filthy paws off me, dirty mutt." He grunted.

Laura let Shadow go and stepped outside, watching the display window carefully. She signaled Shadow for her to begin.

Remy chuckled. "That's just his usual self. How are you, Luca?" He asked, putting his paw down.

Luca swatted at Remy. "What'd you do to me? My back..." He said, reaching for his back.

A short, round lady looked in Shadow's direction and saw her. "Hey, there's a dog in there!" She yelled, rushing towards Shadow.

Laura had become distracted with tying her shoe outside.
