"Oh, that's good," she replied, relieved that her gold would work
here. She didn't mind the stares she was getting, having gotten
used to them a couple years ago.
Nodding the Karen, she sighed, "Well, apparently my squad insisted
that I needed to take some time off. Saving the universe and all
that is pretty crazy. At least I invested in having a co-leader for
when one of us ain't there."
"Anyways, what's on the menu? Need to keep my energy at one hundred
percent, I enjoy me some good grub."
"Well, for you I recommend motor oil. . . haha! I'm kidding. But
seriously we have got soups, paninis, burgers, breakfast options,
and a whole lot more. What exactly are ya looking to munch on,
kid?" Karen says, making drinks for other patrons. She moves
semi-quickly around the bar.
Back in cooking station, Xinhe had finished reading the order, and
begin carefully preparing the burger requested. The delicious smell
of patty wafted through out the room. The young man leaves the
patty to fry, and begin preparing the main toppings.
A moment later, he set a plate of delicious burger on the pick up
station. Xinhe tapped on the bell. “One Etheria burger!”
Karen picks it up, drops it off to Caitlyn, then goes back to the
other customers. The restaurant is filling up quite a bit, as most
do when Lunch Rush starts. A lady sits next to Cat.
“Thanks,” she said still carrying her smile. She took the drink and
burger, bringing it to a table and sitting down. About time, too,
and before she knew it, the place picked up in activity as more
customers walked in. She managed to get one bite out of the burger
before a lady sat down next to her. Quickly swallowing the bite,
she greeted her, “Hello!”
Xinhe’s eyes briefly widened as the customers begin pouring in. But
then, a determined grin revealed on his face. He gripped the handle
of his spatula tightly, “lunch hour it is. I bet Mr Krabs will hire
me for the Krusty Krab.”
And so, Xinhe continued to sending out orders that Karen had sent
in.
