(sorry it took me so long to respond) "Of course, Miss Cat, you are
in room 134. And you, Angel, are in room 142." (also, yes, there is
a pool. but there is also a beach)
Cat took the key to her room, "Thanks!" She then proceeded to make
her way to it, careful not to run over anyone's feet with her
suitcase. When she got to the stairs, she effortlessly lifted it up
them. She got to the floor, looking around.
"Room one thirty four... aha!"
Finding it, she entered, placing the suitcase beside the bed. She
took a moment to look around the room, taking in her surroundings.
Leaving the room, she made her way to the first floor to see if
there was a place at the resort or nearby she could eat at. She
wondered if any of the places, if she found one, would take
Skylandian gold coins as payment, since it was the only currency
she had on her at the moment.
(@truCrystalBorf - 👀 Have you heard about Karen's cafe? They have
'no refund' policy, but their food is really good. Dw about
offering coins that are different from the mortal realm. The cafe
is always open to unique customers. :))
Back in Karen's Cafe that is located on East side of the hotel, the
morning rush hour finally slowed down to a manageable pace. With
the final customer leaving the cafe with their items, it was time
for a brief cleaning duty. He made sure to tidy up the place as
much as he can by sweeping the floor and wiping the table clean.
After grabbing a remote from a drawer, Xinhe switches the tv that
displays breakfast menu to lunch menu.
He set the remote back into the drawer, and waits for the next
customer in line.
Stars Ablaze noticed Ping talking to the other person. Interested
in him more and more after the first time she heard him, she took
the opportunity to walk up to him. “…The Stars, hm?” She asked,
intrigued.
"What offering from the void could usurp the gift of life
already given? This place, right here! Is where we are meant to
be."
When Cat found a map, she memorized the building's layout within
seconds.
"Karen's Cafe. Doesn't sound too bad," she murmured to herself.
"East side of the hotel. Got it."
She made her way to the cafe, the map ingrained in her memory. By
the time she found it, it appeared to be empty with the exception
of a single worker behind the counter. She must've caught them at a
good time. She entered, smiling as she walked up to the register,
"Hello! I assume you can take any kind of currency?"
Xinhe finally snapped away from his thought as the melodic door
bell echoed through the room. His gaze briefly softened at the new
customer, but it was returned to the usual somber gaze. “Welcome to
Karen’s cafe. The cafe has been accepting all kinds of otherworldly
customers, so any currency here will be allowed here.” He explained
calmly, a hint of small smile tugging at the corner of his
lips.
To be fair, this is the first time he had a cyborg as a customer.
Most of his customers either have normal animal features or human
with magical powers. His eyes flickered to her cyborg features, the
scar, and tail with curiosity. He saw the way she approaches the
register with purpose and the smile playing across her face, showed
how advanced her system was. From his world, cyborgs are typically
treated as weapon. With the scar on her face, there was a story to
her. However, Xinhe typically wasn’t the type to pry into other
customers’ business.
Before Xinhe can ask Caitlyn any question, he heard Karen’s voice.
The young man shifted awkwardly in his spot, his cheek flushed with
embarrassment. He turned to Caitlyn with a genuine shy smile, “hope
you enjoy your time here.” He simply muttered before slunk off to
the station to work on Cat’s order.
