Aspeth waited within the line of first years, tucking her green hair behind her ear. Thankfully there were some other transfer students in the line. It was even more infuriating that she blended in with her short stature and small features. She was seventeen, for Ogd's sake.

Her eyes flitted around the room, shrewdly taking in her surroundings. She had left Yuri with her friends... that had been a strange interaction, come to think of it. But it would all resolve itself eventually. In fact, everyone she had met seemed odd. Aspeth would content herself with being a loner for now.

The sorting hat sat on a stool ahead of her. The anticipation was killing her. She couldn't wait to see what house the hat would put her in...
It was never meant to be.
