"Oh! Oh no, no, no, no, no. I won't hurt Jack. I promise you. I see
the world different. I have had a better past than you. You turned
out optimistic... mostly. I, even with my advantages, came out this
way. I really don't want to hurt anyone, but this is the only
reason I came to this Institute. You are the skilled person I need
for this."
His smile faded fully away.
"Kendo. You don't respect the authorities. Hey, I get that. This
plan I have is against an authority. But just one. Just one that
has hurt me so, so much. I can get you what you want if you help
me. Please."
"Spend a day with my father, you wish he never set eyes on
you."
He led Kendo to his dorm and pushed Kendo inside quickly.
"What I need you to do is to get the Princess to come here anyday
at 9 pm. Also, at whatever time you want, try to beat me up. But,
do not tell people about my other power."
He laughed.
"It's still weak, like my default one is, but it can do harm to
others if I use it right. But mostly, I kinda hurt myself. Not as
bad as Father's punishments though."
Sobble woke up cause he heard something. "Wait, what was that? I
thought I just heard something coming?" Sobble arms himself by
summoning a barrier spell.
"Ill help you out! Just, keep the part about me being thrown off a
roof twice a secret, aight? No need to bother Jack with something
as useless as that."
"Right... You know... If you really want to, you can tell Jack. I
can tell you have a strong relationship with her. Even if it is
one-sided, it is a great thing. Don't waste it on doing stupid
things."
He smiled.
"Now. Look here."
He brought out a clear as water crystal. It seemed to have color in
it, but no color at all.
"I have to use this for my other power. I get hit directly with a
power and I have this on me, I use the power for a few minutes."
"Maybe there's some sort of spell that tells me what people are
doing or something. That tells me, I could go training I guess
since nighttime and not much people will be training. Sure I'll go
training, at nighttime." Sobble tiptoes to the training area and
starts using lightning spells. "Time for-" Sobble quickly flips
through the book. "Lightning Splash!" A bucket made of light
appears and tips over into the dummy, after that happens the dummy
sparkles a bit with some sparks.
He sighed. With a snap, he disappeared, returning to the Riparian
common room. He sat down on the sofa. He stretched out. He closed
his eyes. He really was quite exhausted. A hand went up to his
throat, where a large, clearly visible scar lay, spanning the
length of his neck. He opened his eyes, shaking his head. If he
went to sleep, the nightmares would be back.
"Haha! Take that foul Phantom Knight!" Sobble runs around in a
circle around the dummy and jumped over it. While he was in mid-air
he used another Thunder Splash at the dummy. "Haha! Eat this bucket
of thunder!"
Athena was in a state of panic. She was going crazy. While trying
to not go crazy. Did I mention she was panicking? She was pretty
much tearing her hair out. She'd decided to return to her dorm, and
somehow managed, despite her balance having been thrown out of
whack.
It was her fault. This school was not like the others. She'd let
her guard down. And now everything was going wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Completely wrong.
He sighed. he made his way back to his dorm room. He pulled off his
hoodie, stuffing it into a closet. Underneath, he was wearing a
baggy, wrinkled white t-shirt. he made his way back to the sofa and
sat down. He put his head in his hands.
"I swear to god... the princess being in our house is gonna cause
so much trouble..."
He groaned loudly.
"And all I wanted was a peaceful year... Jack, why do you have to
be like this..."
his eyes rested on thee pink friendship bracelet around his wrist.
He sighed.
