"WAKE UP! GET UP! CLASES START IN TWO HOURS! ORIENTATION IS FIRST! MAIN HALL, DON'T BE LATE!" The Minders were here again, dragging the drowsy students out of bed. Most students had completely conked out after the previous day's activities, and were struggling to rub the sleep from their eyes.

Athena watched blankly as the students slowly arose. The Minders hadn't bothered her, but she was up. Had been for the whole night. Exhaustion wasn't a thing anymore. Sitting crosslegged with her gaze unfocused, she showed no sign of planning to move anytime soon.

Kendo had appeared next to her, not wearing his usual hoodie, his messy hair tied into a ponytail. He had put on a dark blue cloak, and a pair of half-moon glasses. he put a hand on her shoulder, with a sunny smile.

"Trust me, niña, It gets much worse."

For the second time, Athena almost lost her balance, using her hands to steady herself. "Why're you here!?" An inexplainable surge of anger rose up, giving her a sudden burst of energy. Leaping off the bed and whirling on him, her eyes glinted in a way which made most people back away immediately. "Why did you have to be on the roof yesterday!? What were you thinking!?" These questions she may as well have been asking herself.

He laughed, standing completely still, hands behind his back. His eyes were closed, and he didn't even flinch.

"On the contrary, Miss. You may be a Princess, but that doesn't mean you get to avoid the rules."

He smiled.

"And don't even think about doing some bratty 'oh, I can do what I want' argument."

He opened his Azure eyes.

"I really don't care. Hurry along now. Education waits for no man!"

He appeared next to her, talking as they walked.

"Ah, I made an executive decision, as second-in-command of Riparian, to bring you back in."

He didn't seem annoyed at all.

"trust me, if it were Jack who caught you, I doubt she'd be having a casual conversation with you, as I am."

he laughed.

"It looks like you need to be knocked down a peg."

He put a hand on his sword.

"Such arrogance has no place in this school."

"Kendo, you assume that I didn't know Miss Lediana was out last night." Jack had strode down the spiral stairs to the dormitories, and caught up to the two easily. "I am not that unaware. And please don't expect Miss Lediana to be sheltered by her upbringing... Quite the opposite actually."

Jack knew the inner workings of the royal court rather intimately.

She turned to the princess. "Congratulations on your acceptance to House Riparian. This is not where you were expected to go, was it?" Jack smiled wryly. The kingdom would never have expected an evil Riparian heir. "If you have any problems, let me know."

Secrets, secrets. She could see it in their eyes. Atticus had left the tree to meet Kendo, and she didn't know why. Jack hated not knowing, but she suspected.

There was too much assumption about how she would react to certain bits of information, too much assumption about her plan.

It was never meant to be.

Kendo turned to Jack, smiling brightly.

"Hello, Jack! Wonderful morning, is it not?"

He rubbed the back of his head, laughing.

"Ah, apologies. That was my fault."

He was back to his sunny self the moment Jack came around. He hid his true emotions well, better than anyone else. He betrayed nothing but happiness in his eyes.

"Ah, I should get going. Wouldn't want to bother you with my presence, after all, Jack."

He bowed, before turning away. He waved, as he walked away.

"Another Ice Queen has shown up in House Riparian."

He let out a long-suffering sigh.

"I really just wanted my last year to be uneventful. Thank you, Jack, my dear friend."

Emika awoke with practiced ease. She didn't need the Minders to assist in the waking process. It was just another day of classes and dealing with the intrusive thoughts created by another...

Eris jolted awake. Where was she- Memories returned. She was at the Institute, in House {Pink and Purple}. She breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't in danger here...

The loud yelling of the Minders practically screamed their way into Kaori's eardrums. And what wasn't helping was that she had been already awake, which made the yelling seem louder and more ear-splitting. The noise seemed to practically echo through her head ~~idk how to explain it~~. She held her hands to her ears and tried to block out the sound, but gave up after it failed. She stood up and bowed at Rei, thanking him for letting her stay for the night.

"Alright then.." Rei went into the bathroom to change and when he got out, he grabbed his stuff and started walking Kaori out of House Euphonious. He got a lot of stares and whispers from the people around him but he didn't mind all that much.
