Shadow twitched her nose. Something was not right. She quickly began navigating to the edges of the forest, her instincts telling her to leave.

Luna got away enough to feel reassured. "See? It's okay now." She said to her adopted son.

Upon seeing Shadow in the distance she quickly hid Grimmy under her moth wings.

"Now let's test..." Werner put down his invention, pulling out one of the projectiles and reworking it a little, before lifting it in the air. It wasn't too off a stick grenade, though the top was a shadowy purple and one could hear whispering emanating from it. Arming it and tossing it into the distance, he jumped onto the table, exclaiming his genius. "Now show me the power within!" With that, it exploded but manifested into a stationary black vortex, which sucked in leaves, dirt and twigs, generating wind currents before it explodes, being powerful enough to uproot the nearest trees and fling Werner off several meters.

Bennett heard the explosion from the base. Internally debating on wether he should go after it or not, he decided it would be a good course of action to check out what was happening, and set out to look for the explosion source

Werner stood up, holding his head and regaining vision within a few seconds. "Okay... tone down on the potassium chlorate and I should have it down." Pulling himself upright, his ears perked at the sound of approaching lifeforms. Closing his eyes again and relying on his ears, he took a deep breath, pulling out a simple handgun with runes and minor alterations, looking around. "Reveal yourself! I'm not hesitant to fire!"

Upon hearing the threat, Mystal took a deep breath and approached the voice. "We are not with the light shiners nor the shadow bringers, just some curious adventurers who think the war is pointless." she explained, making herself not threatening, which she was quite a master at, seeing how it was one of the many traits one needed if they wished to tame dragons.

"We came here wondering what this unnatural smell in the forest was." Mystal continued explaining.
Glow got up, her cape now fully charged again. "Wonder if there's a temple around here... hopefully no dark dragons." she muttered, flying again

Werner hesitated, still armed but showing a bit of a softer stance. "I hope you understand my lack of trust... how can you convince me that you speak the truth!" He exclaimed, as he did see Mystal being unarmed but he's been deceived before...

Razor had also revealed himself. “Razor doesnt like what you are doing to forest. Very bad”

Bennett had found his way over, but he stayed away at a distance where he was pretty sure he wouldnt be spotted

While flying, glow noticed the weird smell. It seemed new, and a bit gross. She didn't hesitate to dive down and land loudly.
"Who's cooking crabs? Specifically the infected kind?" She shouted, arms crossed and not happy.

Werner went back to tinkering, turning to Razor. "Don't blame me, wolfboy. Nature's been cursing life with predators, viruses and toxins, so why should we take care? It's like being nice in an abusive relationship." He groaned, scoffing at Glow's arrival. "You're just as inadequate as those Shadow morons. It's not crab, not garlic, not fruit, it's Acetylene! Stuff you use to weld things together!" He yells, swaying around his firearm before groaning, putting it back into his pocket.

Werner sighs, now holding a small screwdriver in his hand, turning something. "No idea what you mean. I mean that dumb group of people... shadow bringers or some overly dramatic name like that. Honestly..." He scoffs once more, then looking at the gun Glow probably meant. "A standard issue firearm, why do you ask?"

A metaphorical lightbulb just came up in Werner's mind. He's known some odd clothing designs, like Razor and now Glow. Putting down the screwdriver, he leans over his furnished table and asks Glow directly, with quite a chillingly calm tone. "What year is it?"

Glow started thinking. "Well what events happened and how many times?" She asked herself, counting. "Days of fortune happened like 2 months ago, according to older sky kids it's the third time, then days of love, almost days of bloom..."
