You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.
Coby grimaced in pain, his side throbbing and his bruises aching. He hated not being able to help himself- he had been raised in a household that believed showing pain meant showing weakness, and he had grown up in a world where showing weakness got you killed. So yeah, he wasn’t very keen on asking for help or letting them know he was hurt in the first place, even if he figured that the longer he refused to help it the worse it would get. He really only let Gino help him when he messed up stupidly was because they never treated it like a big deal. They would simply scold him, only for getting himself hurt in the first place, not the fact that he was hurt or letting them help him, and then fix whatever he had gotten hurt. He missed them terribly already, but he felt that he would be able to see them later. It’s not like different houses are forbidden from seeing each other, right? Scooting himself backwards so he was resting his back up against the head of the bed, Coby tried to relax, his damaged rib making this a very difficult task. He decided to continue talking with these two kind people, try and befriend them if he could, and brush off any questions directed at his obvious discomfort.

Faith caught the bottle with a smirk and downed the whole thing. She cleared her throat once, twice, then opened up a vial of blood red and drank it. “Delicious as always. You want some?” She offered the vial with its blood red contents first to Vernor, then Max. “Don’t worry, it tastes like blueberry muffins”
Faith suddenly caught on to the temperature change. She was used to it though. It was much colder back in Russia. In fact, she used to wear just her normal t-shirt and shorts when it was -30 degrees outside. This was nothing for her. She noticed the black tendrils on the ground, and decided to follow them. She quickly teleported away, appearing in Alina’s common room, the Crafty Dwarves. She tapped Alina lightly on the shoulder, and accidentally on purpose dropped something very loud on the ground, hoping Alina would wake up.

Faith disappeared, reappearing in the cafeteria. Four long tables like those in Hogwarts, one for each house, were already there, with one final long table filled with all kinds of goodies from all different dimensions. Faith shapeshifted into her sister, Natalia, and went to take a plate of food, before returning to her own seat.
China Sorrows walked in, a beautiful young woman who was dressed in red. She was assigned Golden Griffins as her house. Sorrows walked into the common room and was impressed at the décor. She gasped a little, there was a library! China walked over to it and inspected the books, all were classic novels. She smiled. A small symbol on her hand glowed as she walked around the school, there were other magical beings here. Sitting down at a bench occupied only by Alina, China thought about making conversation. After all, the girl seemed to be lonely. "Ah, a book about the Sankt’ya?" she asked Alina. China pondered for a moment, "So are you Grisha?" she began, "Judging by the colour of your kefta you must be the Sun Summoner! I've never met a Saint before, I have to say I'm quite overwhelmed!" she laughed. "Oh I've heard so much about you and Ravka, even though we come from different realities....I've always wanted to go to others," she said softly.
Simon was unaware of how long he has been staring at the building, but he snapped back to reality once he heard the gate opens. He follows everyone inside the building and listens. School... He lowered his eyes. After everyone scatters out, he stayed behind to examine the room's interior.
