"How about you drop this cool facade of yours for a second or two and relax? I brought us something from the Labs~" Vernor smiles, opening his bag and rummaging through it, while only giving him an occasional glare. "I'm not precisely a person, am I? Anyway, here you go." Vernor tosses a metallic bottle to Faith in a high arc, chuckling. The imprint read: Dihydrogen monoxide containment unit. Excess can lead to diaphoresis.

Coby listened to the conversation with his eyes closed. He had shifted to laying on his stomach rather that his back, although the pressure on his rib cage was killing him. He muttered a curse under his breath and sat up, taking his hand off of his side and attempting to look fine. He took a look at the two people who had entered the dorm room. They both seemed nice enough, though one of them was missing an arm. Pain spiked through his left abdomen and he winced unintentionally, scolding himself. Usually Gino would help him with his wounds, while also scolding him for being an idiot, but Gino wasn’t here and he never took any first-aid classes (surprisingly). Besides, he suspected he might have damaged a rib, if not quite broken it, and he had no idea how to handle an internal wound. With a sigh that simply sent more waves of sharp pain shooting through his body, Coby decided to introduce himself, barely registering that he might be interrupting the two already speaking. “Hey there Rey, Mehul, I’m from Ohio. Well, I used to be from Ohio. Where I live now- er, did live in my world, could barely be classified or recognized as anything from either of your two worlds. If you’re curious I can elaborate.” He kept his introduction short and vague, mostly because he simply didn’t have the energy to focus on forming a proper sentence for longer than a few seconds, not because he didn’t want them to know about his world. His world was fine… somewhat. Him? Not so much.

Coby grimaced in pain, his side throbbing and his bruises aching. He hated not being able to help himself- he had been raised in a household that believed showing pain meant showing weakness, and he had grown up in a world where showing weakness got you killed. So yeah, he wasn’t very keen on asking for help or letting them know he was hurt in the first place, even if he figured that the longer he refused to help it the worse it would get. He really only let Gino help him when he messed up stupidly was because they never treated it like a big deal. They would simply scold him, only for getting himself hurt in the first place, not the fact that he was hurt or letting them help him, and then fix whatever he had gotten hurt. He missed them terribly already, but he felt that he would be able to see them later. It’s not like different houses are forbidden from seeing each other, right? Scooting himself backwards so he was resting his back up against the head of the bed, Coby tried to relax, his damaged rib making this a very difficult task. He decided to continue talking with these two kind people, try and befriend them if he could, and brush off any questions directed at his obvious discomfort.

"Quirks" Mehul repeats. "Sounds kinda cool. I- we- I ain't really sure if this is common with other worlds or what, but a minimal amount of the population are um related to gods. You know, demigods. Those mythologies- I don't know if you have the same ones, but there are some, er, many stories about ancient dieties called Gods and Goddesses in our world, and while most of the population thinks it's false, it's actually true. This is something that might be common everywhere, but er well I am a demigod and I get my powers from my dad, Zeus. The God of Skies, you know." He paused for a moment. "Sorry if it felt like I was blabbering. I know a lot of it might be unbelievable- or- confusing- but yeah."

Alina continued to stay in her common room, her power had drained her. Settling herself comfortably on her armchair, she drifted asleep, leaving her shadow power to engulf the room in darkness. Unbeknownst to her, tendrils of shadow seeped out of her hands, moving snake-like on the floor, peeking out of the door and swimming into different common rooms. Alina's face turned paler and paler as the tentacles of darkness curled around her face, sucking the warmth of her once smiling face, She left her power running accidentally, a mistake that was deadly to her. The room suddenly dropped many degrees, causing people to rush out the room in a hurry, leaving Alina unconscious in her red armchair.

Faith caught the bottle with a smirk and downed the whole thing. She cleared her throat once, twice, then opened up a vial of blood red and drank it. “Delicious as always. You want some?” She offered the vial with its blood red contents first to Vernor, then Max. “Don’t worry, it tastes like blueberry muffins”

Faith suddenly caught on to the temperature change. She was used to it though. It was much colder back in Russia. In fact, she used to wear just her normal t-shirt and shorts when it was -30 degrees outside. This was nothing for her. She noticed the black tendrils on the ground, and decided to follow them. She quickly teleported away, appearing in Alina’s common room, the Crafty Dwarves. She tapped Alina lightly on the shoulder, and accidentally on purpose dropped something very loud on the ground, hoping Alina would wake up.

Vernor shakes his head and his thermometer shows the drop in temperature, as his own heating system started working to somewhat compensate, as he chuckles. "This is going to be one hell of a ride." He takes out another bottle, this time containing braking fluid and drinking it a little.

Alina woke up suddenly, due to the loud BANG! The shadows retreated quickly into her hands, leaving her face to regain its golden colour. Her dark eyes darted open, scanning the room frantically, her eyes coming to rest on Faith. " Saints! " she swore, (its not an actual swear word) shocked at the sudden disturbance. "Um...hello?" Alina asked nervously. "Who are you? Are you a Sankta or perhaps a.... Maleni? You don't look like one..." she said, wondering. Alina stood up, brushing dust off her dark kefta . "So...basically." she began, "What are we meant to do here? I know it's a school, but where do we go?"

“I am neither. You were causing chaos, though unintentionally of course. Your shadows were everywhere and you made the whole place cold. So I woke you up.” She glances at the clock on the mantelpiece. “It’s time for lunch. I’ll be off now” Faith said, bowing.

Faith disappeared, reappearing in the cafeteria. Four long tables like those in Hogwarts, one for each house, were already there, with one final long table filled with all kinds of goodies from all different dimensions. Faith shapeshifted into her sister, Natalia, and went to take a plate of food, before returning to her own seat.

As Faith walked off, Alina mentally cursed herself. How did her shadows cause chaos again? She had to master them. The girl walked silently out of the common room. Sitting herself down at an empty table in the cafeteria and started to read her book.

China Sorrows walked in, a beautiful young woman who was dressed in red. She was assigned Golden Griffins as her house. Sorrows walked into the common room and was impressed at the décor. She gasped a little, there was a library! China walked over to it and inspected the books, all were classic novels. She smiled. A small symbol on her hand glowed as she walked around the school, there were other magical beings here. Sitting down at a bench occupied only by Alina, China thought about making conversation. After all, the girl seemed to be lonely. "Ah, a book about the Sankt’ya?" she asked Alina. China pondered for a moment, "So are you Grisha?" she began, "Judging by the colour of your kefta you must be the Sun Summoner! I've never met a Saint before, I have to say I'm quite overwhelmed!" she laughed. "Oh I've heard so much about you and Ravka, even though we come from different realities....I've always wanted to go to others," she said softly.

His fingers twitched. Simon was on his back stared blankly at the sky, trying to recall his last memory. His head throbbed as all kinds of memories start rushing in. The final moment he remembered before the world went dark was a reptilian creature chases him to a portal. His spirit slightly lights up after he took that little nap but, he knew nothing change. He wishes to stay unconscious forever rather than stay awake so that his insomnia will slowly drive him to insane. He brushed his tired face and carefully lifting himself up.

Simon was unaware of how long he has been staring at the building, but he snapped back to reality once he heard the gate opens. He follows everyone inside the building and listens. School... He lowered his eyes. After everyone scatters out, he stayed behind to examine the room's interior.

China got up and went to get some water. Grabbing a glass of water, she took out a sharp, pencil-like blade of metal and started to carve a strange symbol into her table. Placing her drink carefully onto it, the water started to fizz and bubble, the symbol glowing grey underneath. China took a blue vial out of her bag and carefully emptied the contents into the cup. The water started to foam and shake and finally stop. China saw Alina's confused expression and laughed. "A little science experiment," she explained as she waved her hand over the symbol and it disappeared. The young woman picked up the cup and tipped it into the vial and closed it.

Lunch soon ended, and study period began, students from all areas began to congregate in the hall, to study and interact, and help each other out

Vernor sat down at a nearby table, though not feeling like actually studying. So he went ahead and pulled out a blueprint from his bag and started sketching, while muttering. "Maybe with this... Australium over here, it can... no, no, it can't." He groans, hands going through his metallic hair as he resumed sketching.
