"I pity you Terra" Maci tells him as she and Cherry help Terra walk over to his bed. "You said you have to deal with this everyday? That's a lot for someone as young as you to deal with." Suddenly, her problems felt trivial compared to his. If he could deal with this, then she could deal with her problems too. "In a way, you both remind me of your father. He was strong, brave, a fighter, just like you two. I know he is proud of the two of you." She takes a step back to give the two space, but hung close in case she was needed.

Terra was carefully lowered down, the remaining black wings on Cherry's back spreading a little to keep herself steady. Terra blew a weak raspberry at Maci, while Cherry lightly hit him for it. Setting him fully on the bed, Cherry said in a stern voice, "No don't get up until you're rested, else Mother will have your head." Smiling a little, she turned to Maci. "Thanks for collecting him. He'd have just sat where he was for a while if you hadn't." They both seemed rather touched by the comments about their father and them, though they didn't go so far as to hide their faces or blush. Still, the compliments were appreciated. "We'd best leave him to rest."

Maci feigns offence when Terra blows a raspberry at her. She can't hide her amused smile as she watches Cherry scold her brother. It was clear that the two cared for eachother. If only all siblings were like this she thinks to herself as she remembers Eric and Zoe. "It's no problem" she replies to Cherry's first comment. "I figured his own bed would be far more comfortable than the floor anyway" she adds lightly. Upon hearing her final comment, she gives them an understanding nod. "I agree, that's definitely what he need most right now. You two Cherry, it's going to be a long day tomorrow- training will begin. Goodnight you two"

Maci stands out on the balcony and holds out the eye carving in front of her. She fills Phenix in on everything that has happened today. I'll keep you updated on a daily she promises. It would be what she would want anyway if she were in his shoes. She shakes her head, not wanting to think about something like that. They are safe with me.

Cherry sighed and nodded, quickly finding her way to her own bed and getting ready to sleep. She was clearly tired from the day still, and quickly fell into a deep and dreamless sleep. Phenix, however, seemed a bit happy with Maci's promise. 'Thanks, ever so much. Your family here has been eating well, I'm happy to report. Not too much worrying. Jaxon does seem a bit more nervous now, though. Did something happen?'

Maci pauses. He has a good reason to be nervous, and not just because I'm here... even though messages are sent via thoughts, Maci still nervously looks around, as if someone could somehow be eavesdropping on them. I found out a few weeks ago that I was pregnant she admits.

Phenix's hand slamming against the desk was practically audible across both the carving and the distance. As was his chair toppling. As was the shouting and confused responses. As was the door slamming, with he promise of returning after the Capitol was turned to ash. After a few tense minutes, Phenix came back. 'I'll be there by tomorrow evening. You won't be participating in the games, if all goes as planned. Hell, if all goes as planned, I'll have the damned Capitol burnt to fu-' His "voice" cut away, returning after a few moments. 'Trust me, this'll take time, but it'll get done, even if I spill my last drop of blood to get it done.'

As Suvansh was taken to his floor via the elevator, he recalled how he could barely contain his hate for the Capitol, and how he had to pinch his eyes shut not to kill the president. It would've been good, but they would just replace him, so what use to sacrifice his life for it?
When he entered his room, he was shocked to see someone else in it. It was Eric, the one who those mind manipulation tricks. Not him- His face tightens, thinking how he could just manipulate Suvansh the believe what he did and use him. Soo, taking an ignorant approach won't work. He was about to talk to him, but he saw the little girl, Charlie with him too. Was she a roommate too or she was just here to meet him? He notices no one noticed him, so he went and set his shoes aside, and started going through his wardrobe, while keeping an ear for conversations.

Phenix if you are going to take anybody out of the Games it can't be me Maci replies. While being pregnant does create a certain obstacle, I'll still fare better than your kids. I've been here before, I know exactly what to expect she pauses again. Besides I'm only a few weeks in she doesn't mention the fatigue and nausea that she has been trying hard to convince herself was due to stress. She refused to believe that pregnancy could possibly take this much of a toll on a person. Especially now. She was in no position to be weak and sick. I'll be fine she assures.

'Too late, I'm taking you all out of these games. Hell, I'll be cancelling this edition of the yearly stress and anxiety inducing television series entirely. Blossom had slipped away from Charlie and Lifei and towards Maci's room. She didn't overhear much given the fact Maci was using telepathy to communicate, but she slipped under the door leaving behind a small pink trail of ink in her attempt to sneak, a small fact she seemed to forget. She slipped under the bed in her squid form and waited for Maci to finish her conversation.

If I answer that, all that'll do is make you worry even more Maci suddenly cringes. Yeah, way to play it off, now he definitely won't suspect anything. Tired? Yes. Nauseous? Yes. Although I have yet to be sick today, so that's good news. There is a bit of humor in her tone of thoughts. Phenix, I'm not leaving. At least, not without your kids. I can't leave this place while they are in danger.

'I'll be there by tomorrow afternoon, and I'll be wrecking that damned place with every ounce of strength I have. You'll be coming home to be cared for properly and monitored for anything that might go wrong, and you'll have your husband and loved ones around. That is a promise, got it?' He still sounded agitated, as if the very idea of Maci being there pregnant was an offense to his name.

Stop being so stubborn and think about what you are doing. If you have the opportunity to pull anyone from the Games then it shouldn't be me. I gave you a promise, remember? I would protect your kids. How can I protect them if I'm not there? Maci sighs. How about this? If things become too much for me, then I'll let you pull me out of the Games. Until then, I'm staying. This was an obvious lie. If things really got that bad, she would still stay behind. Maci, like Phenix, could be stubborn, especially when she believed that she was doing the right thing. Remember Phenix, there were pregnant tributes during our Games. They were months into it. If they can do it, then I can too.

"Wha-OH MY GO-"Eric was startled by the sound of Angie's voice, accidentally falling off the edge of the bed and slamming his head against the floor. "Oh come on!" he protested, getting to his feet, gripping the edge of the bed as he rubbed his head. His eyes finally found the girl, and he blinked a few times. He hadn't heard her at all! How was she that quiet? "Err, Hi, kid. How long have you been there?"

'Remember, Maci, they were stuck there without any possible way out. You have a chance to get out, to get everybody there out. Besides, I'm already packing to start on my way there. Ticket's in order, transport is ready, all I have to do is grab my armaments and maybe a bit of protection. But hell, knowing the Capitol, I can just say I'm there on business.' Another few snippets of thought were caught, seemingly between Phenix and his wife. Jaxon didn't seem to be there yet, nor did anybody else. Assuming they were still asleep after Phenix's outburst, which was highly doubtable, then they would likely soon be waking up from the ruckus made by Phenix with his packing.

Just because I have the option to leave doesn't mean that I should. If I have to choose between staying and fighting and cowering away, I'll stay and fight. The only difference now is I'll have to fight much more carefully now.

Almost as if summoned. Jaxon appears in Phenix's room, Asher by his side.
"We heard banging, is everything alright?" Jaxon asks. He eyes the carving nervously. "Did something happen?" Jaxon asks afterwards.

He was about to reply before the words were caught in his throat. Lauriam. The girl had called him Lauriam. It was as if a backpack of bricks that he didn't know he was carrying had been taken off his shoulders as he gave Harmony an easy smile. "Whoa whoa, I don't bite I promise." He chuckled, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "It's all good and it's kinda my bad too. It's a pleasure to meet you Harmony. I hope we get along." and I hope you prove yourself useful went unsaid though his smile was as charming as ever.

Phenix looked up at the two, his grimace closer to a scowl than it had been. Strutting over to a bedside table, he grabbed a handgun from a drawer on it and stashed it in the briefcase he'd been shoving things into. "If I'd have known," he started angrily. "Of the situation, I'd have taken a far more drastic attempt far sooner." Glancing at the carving again, he thought, 'Maci, you're bound to have harm come to something there, whether it's you or your child. I'm not risking your happiness and joy along with Jaxon's over pride and bravery. If you're getting pulled from that, they all are. Hell knows I'd never be that selfish.'

Maci opens and closes her mouth. She finds that his point is hard to argue against. It was the first time anybody had said it out loud... Even if it weren't actually out loud. She was carrying a child, her and Jaxon's child. He was right, she was being stupidly brave right now. Do you really think the Capitol will stop the Games just upon your request alone? Maci asks.

"A gun? Phenix, tell us what's going on" Asher snaps. He takes a step forward, crossing his arms and standing in front of Phenix. He glances over at Jaxon, seemingly for his support, but Jaxon is holding the same dark look that Phenix is holding.
"You're going to save them? Right?" Jaxon asks. It's a rhetorical question, there was no other explanation for Phenix's behavior. Does he know? Jaxon wonders. "I'm coming with."

Harmony smiled a bit and glanced down but then met his gaze as she shook his outstretched hand. "Likewise." She eventually released his hand as a bit of blush formed on her cheeks. He's kinda cute. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow?"
