Mare stared down at her hands, which had started shaking again. Mare tries the previous exercise again, clenching and unclenching her fist. A sudden urge to approach someone strikes her. Mare shakily stands up, and moves over to where Rita is standing. "H.h.. hello." she says, her voice breaking. She tries to wave in a friendly manner, but it looks awkward and forced. "Oh god, please don't be frightened, please please please..." she thinks, referring to people's usual reaction to seeing what appears to be a ghost approach them.

Rita was merely watching out the window as the scenery went by lost in her own train of thought. "H.h.. hello." Rita turned her head towards Mare, who was seemingly uncomfortable due to the forced wave and stance. "Hello, can I help you?"

Mare felt a stab of anger at herself. "I..I no, I was just err... saying hi?" she can feel her pale cheeks turn red. Her hand starts shaking again, only this time Mare doesn't try to stop it. "Please don't think I'm weird, please don't think I'm weird. her mind starting whirling. "Your dress is nice." she says shyly.

“It’s name is Kaila?” Lesia hesitantly asked, slowly relaxing herself and drawing closer to the humanoid creature. She knelt down and extended her hand towards it, slightly nervous and curious at the same time.

He was the one having a hard time? To her, it was funny. She gave a small smile as a response to his reaction, but it quickly went away as she began to think about what he said. “You really think so...?” She said sadly, her eyes moving to the plates sitting on the table. “Then... why didn’t they care about me...” those last words were said very softly, it was almost inaudible. A tear appeared in the corner of her eye, but she quickly wiped it away.

It had been a normal day. Had been. Everything had been just peachy. Again, it had been. But now, everything was just off. Everything was barely broken. The origin point had been bumped, and everything had shifted in result. Jacovin was a boy of rather few talents. He was short, so there wasn't a lot of building to do for him. He was fairly slow on his feet, so most sports were out of the picture. And of course, his left arm didn't work. Nobody wanted to hire him for a part-time job, they thought he was a cripple. But he wasn't. Sighing, Jacovin looked down at his lap. A notebook sat there, nestled between his legs and left arm. In his right hand, he held a pencil. A pencil that looked shockingly sharp. Pressing the graphite to the paper, he began to sketch something. Long swirls appeared on the blank white sheet, soft lines taking shape into something nobody had ever seen before. The voices he heard were dull, as if in another room. They practically were. However, they didn't distract Jacovin from his sketching. He stared at the paper, wondering just what he might create. Then, he smiled and nodded. It was taking shape.

Rita smiled a bit at the compliment. "Thank you, my girlfriend actually made this-" she noticed Mare's trembling hand. "Are you okay?"

The pokemon seemed to mirror Lesia's slow actions and gently rested its hands into hers. "Ra. Ralts." She seemed to calm down some.

Lesia couldn’t feel the small hand resting onto hers, so it took a moment for her to realize what the ralts was doing. She hoped the metal wasn’t cold to the touch, that was never pleasant. She had noticed that the ralts had either no eyes at all or the green thing was covering it. Which was something she was interested in. “You’re... surprisingly cute...” she muttered as she stared admiringly at the ralts.

Suvansh didn't realise when he started blabbering to Flare. He usually did so when home, and in his loneliness, forgot there were people around. He tells him how he got selected all of a sudden, about the scared look in his parent's eyes, and how he squashed to tomato so well. Flare did not speak human, but, Suvansh just knew, he understood everything, and whenever he had to tell Suvansh anything, he would understand by his grunts too, as if they could talk telepathically. Well, they had been together for almost 6 years now. He thinks about the tomato again. It wasn't really anything, but just, if restlessness could do that... what could rage do to him? And was it even humanly possible that a squashed tomato pury would actually fly so far? He dismissed the thoughts, feeling kiddish. All this while he was speaking out loud to Flare, unknowing if anyone was hearing.

Mare forces her hand to stop shaking. "I'm fine." she says, her voice still shaky. She can feel herself being pushed to the emotional edge. "Well, as fine as someone can be heading to a death sentence." she says, uncharacteristically bitter.

Akiro paused. "I.." he spoke, still unsure of himself, "Parents are strange. They do things we can't understand. I couldn't tell you why Ashley hates me, even if I really tried. We can't get inside their minds, but it makes it all the more frusturating. I know it might seem like you're to blame, but you're not. When I was around your age, I kept wondering why Ashley didn't like me, if I had done something wrong and was paying for it. I eventually learned that the best thing I could do was rememeber that what they say holds no power over me." He sighed again. "Geez, I don't know where that all came from, sorry, I'm rambling now." He rubbed the back of his neck, starting to get anxious again.

The pokemon didnt seem to mind the metal much as it gave Lesia a sunny look. It was only after Elle's call that the curry was ready did the Ralts turn away from her and floated straight to her trainer. The green-colored Zubat fluttered from her so-called perch and also returned to Ellie, the rest of Ellie's team was already waiting for their meal.

Rita nodded in agreement. "It can be stressful, but as long as you don't worry about it too much you'll be okay." Rita's tone was a calming one she used with her younger siblings to calm them whenever they got frightened.

Rui was a bit confused on who Ashley was for a second until it clicked that it was most likely his mother. So... he didn’t call her “mom” or anything like that? Was it normal to call them by their full name? Well, considering what he had told her, it probably wasn’t. “What they say has no power over me...” she repeated silently, pondering over them for a little bit. “You’re fine...” she said afterwards. Not like she wasn’t doing the same. She wasn’t sure what she was doing bringing a question like this out of the blue after such a serious topic, but she did it anyways. “What do you like to eat...?”

Lesia replied to the call as soon as she could, getting up and heading over to Ellie as quick as possible.

Jacovin blinked. The sketch he was making, no matter how simple it seemed, had already made his pencil dull and unusable. He didn't have a knife or sharpener, so the most he could do was tuck the supplies away until he could find something sharp. Standing up, he slipped the two objects into a small satchel on his side. Stretching, he yawned, then opened the door and stepped out. An onslaught of voices bombarded his ears, leaving him standing stunned in the doorway. For an entire seven seconds, he waited to get used to the noise. Then, Jacovin stepped out of the small area he'd claimed and looked around. His bright blue eyes picked out several anomalies, creatures he didn't recognize. Then, they picked out several anomalies on the people around the area. After a moment, he blinked. His stomach was aching, as he hadn't stopped for breakfast that morning. It didn't growl, though. He didn't want to instantly draw the attention of somebody. Sighing, the short boy scooted around the edge of the train car, hoping to look at everything from a different angle.

With a smile, she carefully ladled the food onto plates for both her team and any other tribute who wanted some. Ellie finally ladeled some fore herself. It was wonderful! The slightly sweet taste was heavenly against the somewhat sour apple, and it left behind a slight aftertaste, but nothing too strong or uncomofterable.

Akiro was surprised by the sudden change in topic, but it was welcoming. A voice in the back of his mind told him that he should stop talking, walk away, before he got comfortable. He pushed the voice out of the way. Just because his father was betrayed didn't mean he would be. "I don't really have a preference.." Mostly because he had to get whatever he could find if he wanted to eat, Ashley working so much. He tilted his head slightly, recalling that he hadn't seen her attempting at getting any food of her own.

"What about you?" Mare asked, desperate for a change in subject. "Are you okay?" she asked, observing Rita's stance, the way she moved and the way she spoke. "She's fighting for more then I am." she thought, taking note of Rita mentioning her girlfriend.

Jacovin nearly choked on his own tongue. A sharp pain ran through his chest, as if a blast of lightning were being directed through, from his left shoulder to his right hip. He let out an accidental cough, doubling over and falling to his knees on the ground. This wasn't the first time this had happened. It wasn't cardiac arrest, either. As his arm was disabled, his torso was diseased, cursed to strike at itself as it slowly recovered. It wasn't lethal, as far as the short boy knew. It just hurt like hell. It practically was hell, as these spikes of intolerable pain could go on for hours at a time. He didn't realize what had happened until a few moments after it stuck, until he was coughing and gagging, panting and wheezing. It might have looked like he was having an asthma attack, maybe a heart attack. But it wasn't either. Slowly, he clenched his right fist. This wouldn't make a fool of him. Just as Jacovin was about to stand and struggle back to his little alcove, a second wave of pain sliced through him. He didn't move. Instead, he stayed there on his knees at the edge of the train. All he'd wanted was a different view of the car, but now he was witnessing his curse. It always struck at the worst of times.

Bella and Coraline watched Jacovin in his fit, Coraline went over to him and knelt down. "Are you okay?" Her voice despite being human still held her origin Inkling tongue in it.
