Luke goes into the study with Meg. “You wanted to talk to us Grandpa?” Their Grandfather said, “Yes I would. I would like you two to know that tomorrow night is Midsummer Eve, where all creatures roam the yard in madness. Never look out the window. Do you understand?” Luke said, “Yes.”

“Good. Now do what you kids like to do, and no going into the forest.” he repeated. He went to the kitchen and started eating some lunch.

Luke goes outside and finds the treehouse. He goes inside and starts building a puzzle.

Grandpa came into the room. “What’re you doing to the attic?” he asked, sitting on the bed.

John is in a little cave. He couldn’t wait until tomorrow, which was Midsummer Eve. What would he do? Maybe try to ram the house like the others, which every year never worked. He wanders around the forest.

“If you say so. And try not to give them human food. I try my very hardest to keep technology off of the preserve, which is why we don’t have a TV or internet, but we do have phones.” Grandpa said, then left the attic.

Luke continues trying to build the puzzle. He wasn’t even close. Most of the pieces were just black because it was a night sky. He was only about 1/6 done.
