"I don't know." He sighed, looking around if there was anything he could use to mend clothes with. If he couldn't get what he wanted, then he'd make it himself. "It was Nova who broke the barrier, right? It's not right that they saved us instead of her. They also should have saved Flare and her child... Autumn was it?" Running a hand through his disheveled hair, Shion flicked his earrings in a nervous tick. He still felt overwhelming guilt at being one of the ones saved from the arena. He didn't deserve it, and he didn't understand why the most vulnerable person wan't saved. It was obvious that he was of lesser importance.

"It's like we were told, Nova knew the risks and she was willing to face the consquences. We were a ways from them. I think an up close attempt to save Nova and her group would've gotten us all taken to the Capital. Each of us is imporant." Blaze laid down on her bed and looked at Shion. "What are you looking for?"

There are always people who are more important than others." He shot back, ruffling his hair in frustration. If he was District 13, he would have chosen Nova first and foremost. Not only was she the one who broke everyone out, having her in the grasp of the capital meant that the little resistance that was going on was overall weaker. Without a figurehead for the members to look up to, it could very easily crumble. This only places that much more importance on their mission, an expectation that Shion could never live up to. He only had his voice and survival knowledge, two things that didn't seem to work very well for a rescue mission. "Anyways, I'm seeing if they have any thread, needles and scissors." He didn't elaborate as to why.

Blaze looked at the clothes Shion's hands and put two and two together. "Of course. You. Me. Nova. Flare and Autumn. Everyone is important. As for your needle and thread and scissors, they probably have it confensgated somewhere because it's a 'hazard' for cititzens to have without supervision, double of us with potnetal PTSD. But these will work just the same." Blaze smiled and snapped her fingers, a red sparkly spool of thread attached to a needle and a pair of scissors popped out of thin air. "Made by yours truely, nothing a little fairy magic can't make." Blaze's outfit was a dark gray tank top and a pair of loose fitting shorts, she was wearing her socks rather then the boots.

It was obvious that Shion didn't believe Blaze's words but didn't argue any further, taking the materials with a muttered "thanks" before sitting down to work. A pair of wide pants were separated into two halves before it was resown into a loose skirt that provided enough mobility for someone to run in. The shirt was left mostly unaltered, although he picked a long jacket that was a bit too big on him. Not really caring that Blaze was present, Shion changed into the clothes he had made for himself and did a small spin to make sure that everything was still okay. "If I'm going to ruin the capital's day, I'm going to look cute while doing it." He muttered under his breath.

"None of you are going." A district Thirteen soldier stated firmly, he noted Shion in the skirt but said nothing.

Blaze looked at him. "Why?"

"You and the others are valuable, sending you would be a death sentance. You two need to stay here, that way when we get the others they'll have some comforting words and faces to come back to. God knows what they got put through." He then bid the two a goobye and left.

Blaze cursed under her breath. "This is bullshit."

"And this is why I should have been left in the arena." Shion said bitterly, tugging on his earrings again. Anyone that he had formed a connection with was in district 13, not in the capital. Perhaps Alice could count, but even then, the young girl had other people like Blossom and Blaze who would be more of a comfort than he would be.

"Always a possibility." Julian agreed, tapping his head in an effort to try and remember the map. The attempt was unsuccessful however, his memory a blur of corridors and screeching. "Do you remember if there were any other exits?" A bitter thought crossed his mind that Ryder would be an asset at this moment in time with his powers, but he cast the notion aside. No use in thinking about things that could have been.

"Listen here Shion, talking like that isn't helping anything. You're acting like inferior compared to everyone else! That's not true! You have amazing survival skills, you can build a shelter, probably out of anything. Hell, that's more then I can do." Blaze looked at him. "Keep your chin up."

Aelia’s memory wasn’t much better, but suddenly she mused, “Those spikes…are they activated by pressure or activity?” If by pressure, she was certain there would be some objects that they could put into place in order to keep the spikes from retracting. If activity, well that was manageable too.

Sarcastically lifting his chin up by a fraction, Shion rolled his eyes. "In case you forgot, I had a 5. Hardly anything special. If it weren't for Tempest and Catrina, I would have died in the bloodbath and building a shelter is hardly useful if you cant even hunt or forage." Although it wasn't helping anyone by talking badly about himself, Shion rationalized that it wouldn't do anyone good to boast about himself either. It was easy to boast about his shelter making skills in the interviews when selling your skills was a life or death matter, but here in an environment where none of that mattered anymore, it was like second nature for him to slip into self deprecating statements.

"Let's test it out." He shrugged, stepping back so that the spikes retreated. Forming up a light ball of water, Julian slowly repelled the water away from him as the sphere bobbed down the hallway.

"Even still, keep positive, it's about all we can do now." Blaze stated firmly.

The spikes didn't react as the water bubbled down the hallway. It seemed that pressure. . .and something else. . .triggered them.

Aelia cocked her head, frowning slightly, “Well, that’s interesting. Im’ guessing you can’t hold someone in the bubble?” Perhaps it was pressure, and she chucked a spare cartridge of bullets down the hall to test.

I can't create a bubble, so you'd be drowning in a sphere of water as you travel across not to mention the weight of a human being would take a lot of water to even keep someone afloat." Julian explained, scratching his cheek. It would also be hard to control the movement of the water itself, many factors playing into why he couldn't carry someone across.'

Nodding with a sigh, Shion dropped the topic. Instead he started tying knots in the thread that Blaze had conjured up. It helped to at least take his mind off the negativity swimming in his head

The door toe Blaze's and Shion's room opened, in came Shion's siblings. All fo them. They all practicly group hugged Shion. Blaze watched silently with a pang of longing. Her parents were dead, and she was an only child so after her parents died in a mine expolsion she was practily an orphan.

Caught off guard, Shion yelped as he was dog piled by his siblings, three tiny bodies jumping onto their brother. The oldest, Avenir, lingered by the doorway nodding towards Blaze. "Sorry for the intrusion." The exhausted looking brother apologized to her above the squeals of his siblings as they all say a top Shion's chest. Baby Rakki, only half a year old, babbled happily and patted her brothers cheek with chubby hands.

"Okay, okay get off my chest please." Shion wheezed, attempting to dislodge his siblings. Soon after a bit more coercion, they got off and instead looked at Blaze in surprise. Recognition flickered across one of their faces and the youngest boy, Mu, frowned. "You're the lady who hit Shion with the fireball." He declared, pointing a finger at Blaze.

"Self defense." Blaze responded somewhat bluntly, but her voice was hallow too.

Blossom entered the room, pulling her hair from the tight bun it was in from training. She saw Shion's siblings and the thriteen year-old froze. "Um. . .am I interupting something?"

Mu opened his mouth to say more before Shion quickly covered his mouth. "What did I say about talking to strangers." He said sharply, picking Rakki up when the baby started tugging on Shion's skirt. Once he was sure that his siblings wouldn't misbehave, Shion sighed and shot an apologetic smile at Blossom. "No you're not. This is my family by the way, you might remember from the interviews."
"Thanks for helping Shion out in the arena." Avenir interrupted, ignoring the confused look given his way. "And for, well... Not killing him I guess."

Blossom smiled a bit. "Actually you can thank Nova when they get her back from teh Capital, she's the one who blew up the arena." She smiled at baby Rakki. "Well aren't you just the cutest. How are you?" Her voice was one a mother might use to their child, soft and sweet.

Melody came in and looked at Shion's family before a ten year-old jumped on on her back. Melody laughed as she fell to the floor. "Digit! You stinker!"

By now, other families of the tributes had been sucsessfuly rescued adn brought to Thriteen to to be reunited with their family.
