Forum-Index → Roleplay → Elemental WarsLouis turns his attention back to the store. He knows that he worries about Emerson too much, but he can't help but worry about her. He walks around the store and readjusts some of the weopons. He winces as he moves some of the heavier ones. His arms were still sore from yesterdays work
Alliana kept walking on the almost empty sidewalks, enjoying the smell of the shops starting up. She figured she could get a donut on her way. It would be a good start to the morning. But she did have the sudden urge to punch something... Nah, that’s ridiculous, why would she do that? Today was supposed to be a good day. Something told her that she should get some snacks, something big enough for a small party. Why? Well, she didn’t quite know. She just had that feeling
The warm rays of the sun had pleasantly graced her skin when Kela hit the road this morning, chasing off the last strands of her nightmare, having already downed her usual morning coffee, bag strung haphazardly over her shoulder and ice-colored eyes bright. She had already melted the ice on the mailbox, the two elements clicking within her mind. Ice called to ice; opposites attracted. Most thankfully, Kela knew where to start with her information poking. It was early still, and while she would rather not be late and earn another disgruntled remark from Roxy, she did want some time to herself. Time to enjoy leisure time. She never really got a lot before she joined. Unsurprisingly, Kela had accidentally skipped breakfast. Maybe it was because her mind was elsewhere this morning. Even if her appetite had disappeared over the course of her less than ideal morning, it was coming back. Hard. Not that hunger was anything new.
It was something about this town that there was food around the corner, and she was pleased that the first thing she came across was a coffee / brunch-esque shop. The jovial nature swung her spirits high as she entered to wait in line.
After buying a frankly ungodly amount of pastries, Queen sat down at one of the tables to munch away at a powdered doughnut. The rest would be shared with the others once they met up. Swinging his legs almost childishly, Queen's keen eyes swept the establishment taking stock of who was in the room. The atmosphere was preppy and upbeat, adding to the homey aesthetic of the shop in general and putting Queen a little more at ease. The door swung open and a familiar girl came in, silver bobbed hair swaying as she joined the queue. His lips quirked up as he finished off his pseudo breakfast, licking any sugar left off his fingers. What a coincidence, he smiled to himself. What a coincidence.

Alliana walked down the city sidewalks until she reached the best donut shop in town, one she always went to for a nice treat to congratulate the week’s victories. She walked through the door behind the silvery haired girl. She scanned the shop to see if there were any open seats, and surprisingly there were. Because the shop was so popular, the seats were never empty. She kind of felt sorry for the workers, having to work all day with tens of tens of customers. While she was looking around, she spotted a giddy familiar face. Her eyes widened as she quickly looked away, trying not to look suspicious. She already had her face known, one to be captured right away. It’s been a few years, but she doubted that everyone forgot, which made it a bug risk to even be near the city.
Nesryn nodded dutifully, keeping her big baby-blue eyes on her mentor while her free left hand - which was slightly grayed from working on a small project she had been assigned yesterday - tangled with her short bun as it always did when she was feeling more anxious. She knew Shion could get himself up in a twist very often very fast, but really, it would be wrong to hold it against him. As for staying or leaving the shop, her eyes followed her mentor (and father figure) dart around the area trying to make himself look presentable before the usual tidal wave of customers signaled their workday. “Nothing against you, really, but uh...” She nodded at the darkened, shadowed walls and the thump-tacked papers on the wall listing all the orders they had not gotten to yet, “I think I’m gonna stay here.” The least she could do was alleviate the tasks they had to get to.
She looked up as Shion stepped in front of her with a gentle, if not slightly strained, smile, mussing her hair. She sighed softly, leaning into the touch ever so slightly as she listened to what he said. She eventually nodded, “Thank you. You’re a good teacher.” She gave him a quick hug, and the tender moment was inadvertently interrupted by a knock on the door. Good gracious, who was ever up this early? Nesryn’s eyes widened in surprise. As for Shion, he quickly threw on his usual cotton coat before opening the door to admit Louis and Emerson. Regulars, if she did say so herself. She waved back shyly to Emerson, “Good morning.”
[Kela Ravenoir]
It was not long before the white-haired fae felt the gentle pressure on her sides dissipate as the customers in front of her moved around to wait in the other area or join their companions in their respective booths. This particular joint was particularly popular, it seemed. Conversation ebbed and flowed, people’s faces alight with the joy generated from just minding one’s own business. She felt her stomach rumble, and when she stepped up to order, made a note not to order too much. The last thing she needed right now was to have an upset stomach.
She had gotten here rather early, but if she wanted to be productive today, well, she would need to get working as soon as possible. She pulled out her phone to text Roxy.
I’m heading toward the warehouse after some breakfast. Where are you??
She thanked the cashier for the order, paying with
Yes it was Queen alright, the coquettish sweet male she had met yesterday. Her cheeks flushed a bit as she remembered how he’d winked at her yesterday evening. She inclined her head toward him, and then turned her gaze to the pile of sweets laying before him. And the doughnut he must have been eating before she had entered. Good gods. How on earth did he stay thin if he kept on eating like that? She quickly slipped over from the crowd her unusually pale blue eyes meeting his fiery scarlet ones, “You must have quite the sweet tooth.”
"I'm there now. What do you want?" She reads outloud as she rushes over to the warehouse. She clicks send and takes off into a sprint. She is practically out of breath when she makes it to the warehouse
Sabrina arrived at Emerson and Louis’s shop, only to find that no one was there. “Hmph...” she turned around and decided to go to the other shop, one that she figured would be just as good. She stopped, noticing that something was off. She saw a shadow inside, didn’t she? She turned around and stood at the door.
Almost as if she had known that Roxy would be dashing right this way, as if she knew that Roxy was going to be late from sleeping in, Lunara coyly looked over her shoulder at the sound of pattering feet. a sardonic smirk that oh so slightly reached her (mental) voice. Well, well, well. Since when did I have the pleasure of noticing that you— her telepathic message to Roxy was interrupted by a mirthless laugh at this point. you out of all people Roxy are late for your own meeting? The ravenette breezed gracefully out of the warehouse to look her friend in the eye. Lunara never pegged Roxy for being a very disorganized persona, but with the speed at which things had been developing recently, the fae had a lot to worry about than usual.
Roxy lets out an annoyed sigh, but she can't fight the amused smile that appears on her lips. "Well, what can I say? I'm full of surprises" she says with a wave of her hand. "It's been awhile, how have you been?" Roxy asks. Her usual tough deminor falling as she talks with her friend.
Queen squeaked, having picked up a danish to snack on first and thus having taken his eyes off Kela. Looking up to suddenly see piercing ice steadily meeting his gaze had Queen's heart skipping a few beats. Fumbling with said danish as it slipped out of his hands and attempted an escape, he leaned dangerously over his chair to finally catch the pastry firmly in his hands. "K-k-k-k-kela!" he stammered, glancing nervously at his boxes upon boxes of pastries. "Um, well, ah...." he fumbled for words, drawing his shoulders up in embarrassment. "I guess I do." he admitted with a nervous smile. The Queen sitting before Kela seemed like such a different person from the one she meet just yesterday. One had to wonder if they were even the same person

Louis opens up a few more windows so more light can be drawn into the room. He pauses by one of the windows to glance at her. "You are a little small. I would recommend those weopons" he says as he points to a wall filled with small and thin swords, daggers, spears, ect. "We have almost any weopon you can think of. All of them can interact with your powers" he explains excitedly. He loves this topic of discussion
Sabrina smiles as she looked around. She didn’t mind the minor weapons, she didn’t like the bigger and flashier ones anyways. “So... based one what you said, it’s not uncommon for people to have powers? Interesting...” she said as she looked at the weapons Louis pointed out. She thought a dagger would be better for her, but she didn’t know why. She just felt like she had experience with them. “The shop is quite nice, must I say. I’m quite impressed. The craftsmanship on these weapons too, it’s incredible.” She smiled as she slowly looked around, occasionally looking at Louis as she did.

Emerson glances over at Nesryn. "Think you'll need help with anything?" She asks her. "Otherwise I could always head back" she adds. She shakes her head. "Sorry, I'm being too intrusive. It just feels wrong to have no work to do after being busy for weeks"
