Hey Corona *he gave a warm smile at her* sorry to interrupt but I
was wondering if you would spar with me? *he tried to ask the
others but he dint know how would they respond after making Leaf
feel bad even do it was never his intention* What you say?
Corona looked at the sun, "I'm almost done riding Specks..." if she
said no she would feel guilty. "Sure, why not. Umm is there
sparring equipment?" She asked stupidly.
There should be some laying around here or we could use are weapons
instead? Dont worry if we get injured to hard I brought some
vulneries to heal us. Of course if you dont want to it's fine I
dont want to force you
Now out in the courtyard, Iola tossed a rapier from hand to hand.
While it was a good weapon, nothing could beat the feeling of a
good lance. While being a dancer would give him proficiency in
swordsmanship, he felt like he still had lots of areas to improve
in. But with that being said, he'd actually have to lean how to
properly dance.
Looking up, a wide smile stretched across his face. "Hi!" He
grinned seeing the book. "Practicing magic?" He inquired, although
it was more or less a rhetorical question
"Yeah." Leaf nodded and looked at Iola. "You know...since you're
looking to be a dancer...do you want me to go through a...." He
paused and backtracked. "Do you want to practice dancing?"
(I'm gonna be out probably the whole day.)
Corona smiled, "I would never back down to a spar challenge." She
said, well there goes her riding hour. She quickly put Specks away
and promised her that she would come back later to clean her up.
Exiting the stables Corona met back up with Marcus.
A little surprised at the suggestion, Iola smiled a shook his head.
"Well..." Taking a moment to consider again. "If you're okay with
it. I don't want to pull you away from your own practice." He
replied sheepishly
"I'm fine considering I practically worked my backside off
yesterday." Leaf smiled. "Plus...a nobleman's gotta know how to
dance...much to my mother's chagrin. She'd try and avoid as many of
those dances as possible, as well as any formal occasions."
(Ironically, I made Ingrid my dancer in one of my runs XD)
Laughing at that, Iola couldn't help but agree with the thought.
"Your mother sounds like someone I can relate to." He chuckled,
dusting himself off. "But with that being said, are you okay with
leading? I'd like to practice the following part."
"I can do a few basic moves...I'm most certainly not the best at
dancing. At least I'm more willing to attend these occasions more
then my mother." He smiled. "But hey, I want you to win, so I'll
give it my all."
"Thank you! I'll do my best to help you too!" He promised,
grinning. Stepping forward, Iola nervously shuffled his feet. While
having practiced a bit at home, he wasn't used to dancing with a
partner.
Slowly following along, Iola was fairly good at not stepping on
Leaf's feet. It was a bit difficult for him to remember exactly the
moves but after a while, he fell into a comfortable pace to go at
Nearly tripping as he didn't expect Leaf to start humming, Iola
scrambled to recover doing so after a few missteps. Finding the
best of the song to be soothing, Iola let his mind get swept up in
the singing.
