Meanwhile Grandar found himself a perfect place to set up an altar. With a few candles, a few drawings in the mud, and a couple of bugs to fit in the places of future worshipers, Grandar successfully made an alter to Russaki, his Goddess Savior. He spent the match praying and calling out his praise to his good for her mercy.

Maya winced at the scene, and at the proximity of Charlie. She made a soft movement to get closer to Tora, not liking how close the other person was.

The noise made it easy for Solas to find Grandar. “Oi! You’re gonna miss your fight if you run off!” He called out.

Eric huffed, He didn’t have enough time. If he had a tad bit longer he could have probably jumped over the spikes. Out of instinct he ran to the side, Not realizing he had ran into a spike. He tripped and tumbled, Blood gashing from his foot.

The announcer started, “We might have a knock out folks!” He boomed.

Tora was silent for a moment, “Because if a weak family took over the Naki, Our clan would be disgraced” she responded while watching the fight. Her arms haven’t twitched in a while

Garoka was startled by the sudden movement of Eric and stopped sprinting, nearly tumbling to his hands and knees.
"We might have a knock out folks!" he heard a booming voice yell.

Garoka waited a few seconds, crouched down while watching Eric carefully. He could hear his heartbeat booming loudly in his ears, his head pounding, his heavy breathing; the cries from the crowd sounded like white noise. His eyes flicked to Eric's bleeding foot. Have I won? he wondered to himself. Can't be sure yet.

He stood up and walked over to Eric, who wasn't really that far away. He pointed his pole at Eric's head, gazing down at him.

No response came from Eric, He had lost too much blood. Even though his speed was formidable, he was no match for Garoka’s power. Along with his great wit.

The announcer started, “That’s a wrap! The winner is Garoka Washinaki! He will be advancing in our tournament bracket! There will be a ten minute break before the next match folks, so get your popcorn ready! Garoka, Please choose Mercy or finish him off” He said as the mic cut off.

Tora watched as Eric fell, Pathetic she thought.

Garoka felt his heartbeat speed up. I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I- oh my gosh I won! he cheered in his head, facial expression still serious and tense as he stared at Eric. "Finish him off?" he repeated quietly, blinking a few times. "Uh, uh uh uh, mercy!" Garoka heaped, looking around for the announcer. He took a few steps away from Eric and dropped his pole. He looked down at his left hand, which was still holding the small knife he had transmuted earlier. "I guess I don't have much use for this," he said as he put it back in his pocket. He let out a deep breath. He wasn't sure whether to leave the arena or wait until someone came down to help Eric.

Garoka felt his face get hot as Maya's eyes looked at him warmly. He quickly averted his eyes, scratching the back of his head. His face and back were hurting from where Eric had injured him. He figured they would leave a bruise, but decided he could look past it for now. He watched Eric and Maya carefully. This is what I came here to do? Why? he pondered. He shook his head. You've come to give your clan honor...remember that.

Nina, despite the relive that Eric was spared, was still a bit nervous. She scooped up her bag and headed down. She was somewhere between near death experience and bet wetting, but yet determined to make her family proud.

Nova slunk down in her seat and relaxed, she hadn't liked the idea of killing her opponent so she was glad that Garoka spared Eric.

Tora looked to the ground, The first match was over, That’s one step closer to her being able to fight.

Eric laid there, His injuries weren’t fatal but they were pretty rough on his body. Trying to catch his breath, he sat up with a wince. “I’m fine” he muttered to Maya.
