"That works," Garoka mumbled, chucking the spear at Eric while transmuting a small, pocket-knife sized knife. weird wording but whatever
He quickly stood up, making the knife as discreet as possible.

Eric was catching his breath, He lost his guard at the worst second. The spear hit his shoulder. He cursed before pulling it out. Blood gushed, He wasn’t done yet though.

"Heh," Garoka chuckled. "Looks like me underestimating you didn't affect me too badly," he taunted, elongating the word 'underestimating'. All he can do to me is hit me physically, since he doesn't appear to have any weapons on him. Using the spear wouldn't benefit him, since it would slow him down and possibly injure him if he were to fall while running with it. In addition, he's injured and out of breath. As long as he doesn't get close, I shouldn't have a problem. Garoka transmuted another pole, about six feet long, using his right hand. He held it towards Eric once again. This will need to work until I can grab my spear again.

Eric took the spear, “Decades ago, My clan was banned from the Naki. Because our great grandfather was using illegal drugs on our participants to enhance their physical strength. Now, I want to redeem myself. Without an illgal drug” he huffed as he sped behind Garoka and slammed the flat end of the spear into his back. He seemed faster now.

Before Garoka even had time to react, he felt intense pain shoot through his spine. He fell on his hands and knees, quickly turning over onto his back, holding himself up with his left hand. He swung the pole in his right hand at Eric's knees.

Eric quickly moved the spear downward, It blocked the blow but broke after the intense pressure of hitting Garoka and getting hit by the pole. He jumped back, His wound was bleeding even more, “I do admit, There’s a chance I might lose here. But I’m still going to fight til I Drop” he said to Garoka.

Garoka jumped up, taking a deep breath. "If that leaves a bruise, I'll make sure you drop," he said sarcastically, putting his left hand in his pocket. "And you broke my spear. Didn't your parents ever teach you some manners?" he derided. "Or am I going to have to do it for you?" he asked, gesturing to Eric's bleeding shoulder with his pole.

Garoka raised an eyebrow. "Better not run too quickly or all the blood will go from your head to your feet," he mocked. He took his left hand out of his pocket and crouched on the ground, still holding the spear in his right hand, putting his left palm on the surface below himself, ready to transmute again.

Eric was pissed, He was still bleeding. He doesn’t have much time left before he collapses from blood loss. But he couldn’t lose. He waited, Hoping for Garoka to make the next move. It would give him a chance to find a weak point but he doubted Garoka would move

He isn't moving, Garoka thought to himself. His eyes narrowed. Is he waiting for me to attack first?
"What's the matter, out of moves already?" He taunted. "Good thing I'm not," he said, not giving Eric time to answer. Using his left hand, he quickly transmuted a wall behind Eric before rushing towards him, his right hand gripping the pole tightly. The wall's thin...any thicker and it would take too much time and energy to transmute...it should do the job and keep him from turning around and running, though, he thought as he swung the pole at Eric's knees.

Eric waited for the charge, Then as Garoka swung at his knees he jumped. He sent a kick straight towards Garoka’s face. He wouldn’t have had time to run to the sides and he couldn’t run behind.

Eric's kick hit Garoka on the side of the face, knocking him over. Garoka stayed on the ground for a few seconds before pushing himself up, wiping his mouth with his right hand. He reached and grabbed his pole, which had fallen out of his hand when he fell over. "That hurt pretty badly, ya know," he muttered as he stood up. His head began aching where Eric had kicked him, but he continued and bent down. Left hand on the ground, he transmuted small little spikes on the ground, each 1-2 inches apart. These ought to slow him down, and they'll hurt like hell if he steps on one bare-foot.

Maya was visibly stressed. She stood up, ready to aid at the end of the fight.
While the rules permitted killing, the woman had constantly spoken up against it.

Nina was nervous about the out come, as well as who'd she'd be up against, mentally hoping that it wasn't someone who would be unaffected by her own powers.

Eric waited, This kid, He knows what he’s doing. If I step on one of those spikes I’m done for. I need to end this he thought. He covered his shoulder with his hand. “You’re smart, I’ll give you that” Eric said with a smirk. He watched the spikes carefully

Maddox looked at the tournament brackets. His heart sank. "I-I can't--" His voice hitched on his throat, making him shiver. His power wouldn't stand a chance... his opponent had a drive, he was here because his family thought The Fool had power. No! The Fool is for incompetent fighters like me. He thought, shivering.

A smile spread onto Garoka's face. "Thanks, it's a strategy someone told me about," he said as he stood back up, putting his left hand in his pocket again. The spikes are small enough so they can't penetrate my foot through my shoes; too bad he took his off.
He took a deep breath, pulled his hand out of his pocket, and sprinted towards Eric, clutching the pole tightly in his right hand.
