"That's good. I don't want anyone to be hurt." Rose replied with a soft sigh of relief.

Robert ushered JJ along while at the same time grabbing a hold of a slightly singed Jamie. He glanced back and watched as Cotton paralyzed Frost with thunder wave.

“Ooooh, taller than Tiger?” Connor grinned, knocking his elbow against Snow’s arm playfully. “‘M glad she’s kind. Have you seen her a lot, or is it just an occasional visit?— Oh, what’s that?” He directed his gaze toward the journal in Lion’s hands.

"Usually an occasional visit." Snow said with a chuckle and glanced at Lion.

Lion blinked and rolled the book in his hand. "Not sure. It looks like an old journal for the johto region, but we're in Kanto." He mumbled quietly.

"Well if your neck wasn't broken to where you couldn't look left, you'd notice that you're right next to Johto." Snow joked kindly causing Lion to roll his eyes.

"Okay, that's not the point to make Johto citizens joke of how Kanto citizens found Johto after so many years." Lion said with a shake of his head.

~•~•~

"You and I both." Cyndaquil said to Rose softly and gently nudged her.

Tiger recalled Cotton and Charm and glanced at Colin, Robert, JJ, and Jamie. He took a few steps back and headed the way they came.

[My inside joke for when Johto isn't included or mentioned in a Kanto game. That everyone in Kanto/Johto had broken necks to where they couldn't see Kanto/Johto]

Connor just snorted, shaking his head in amusement as he listened to the two. “Gee. Must’ve been tough.” He joked, before turning his eyes on the book. “It could be about Johto. These two regions are so closely intertwined that I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a book here.”

[agreed also sorry I don't respond as normally as I used to. For some reason I've lost the motivation to write, and other than that story I'm working on. and debating on posting because I'm not sure if anyone would read it. I haven't really been thinking of ideas for the rp, and most my ideas are going to that story. Which I did finish the prologue for, but I'm still unsure if I'll post it or not.]

Lion nodded in agreement with Connor and glanced at Snow. "I'll hold onto it for now, maybe Tiger knows more about it or something." He said with a sigh.

Snow looked up as he watched a few grunts run past. "I think the others are retreating." He mumbled to himself.

[It’s fine, I get it :0
I’d read it!! I know what you mean though, I’ve sorta lost interest in roleplaying on here.. All my attention has been split between eddsworld and the flash and school and I haven’t actually really given any thought to any of my characters,, whoops]

“Maybe,” Connor agreed thoughtfully before nodding in agreement with Snow. “I guess we should go too.” He mused, mostly to himself as he tucked his hands into his pockets, peering around.

[im planning on posting what I've done so far tomorrow. Though it'll be a tad bit different from my usual posting as I'll do it on Google docs until the story is being proofread/finished. Which means if you check in to it enough you'll see what I've actually finished on it. also somewhat the same, I've sort of put rp ideas to the back burner since those ideas would go to waste heck this whole story I'm writing was based off a scrapped rp idea from about a year or so ago. The main villian is someone new I've been working on who's somewhat opposite of Tiger. While Tiger is more defensive with fighting. As in while he's reckless he will know when to stop a fight and try to escape. This new character is maniacal and will fight with her Pokemon to see her enemy completely defeated. Shell fight using a sword and claim she always uses it since humans can't learn to use Pokémon moves and been procrastinating by replaying heart gold and pearl.]

Lion nodded and put the journal into his bag before heading back the way they came. "So do you think this new trainer might be trying to hurt Tiger?" Snow asked quietly as the thought of that strange girl came back into his mind. He shook the thought away and sighed.

[Poor Tiger :0]

Connor shrugged, pulling his hands out of his pockets to run them through his hair instead. “It seems like they all are.” He said honestly. “I hope not. Maybe that journal could shed some light on it.” He suggested softly.

[Agreed. I actually debated on killing Cyndaquil off. Spoiler alert if you haven't seen the posts I made on which pokemon will be understood by Lion/Snow Cyndaquil will survive I'm working on Chapter 1 now since I'm nearly done reading Crowfeather's Trial.]

"Hopefully." Snow said with a sigh and tucked his hands into his pockets. "Lion did you find anything out yet?" He asked curiously.

Lion blinked and looked up from the journal as he had been skimming through it. "Nothing on the girl or Tiger, but there's some interesting facts on if a region falls." Lion mumbled and put the book into his bag. "We should get going before Frost or Giovanni finds us."

[cyNDAQUIL N OOO—
But that’s a huge mood? I debate on killing off 90% of my characters and usually end up going through with it for 80%,,
Ooo I’m p eager to read chapter one?? And Crowfeather made me so mad for some reason?? I dunno I just. Hated him so much and I don’t remember why]

Connor cocked an eyebrow curiously. “What about the others? Where’d they go?” He asked, a bit anxiously.

“If a region falls?” There was Mel, eyes wide as she popped out from around the corner. “What happens? Why?”

“Hi.”

“Hi.”

[I was debating it as it was part of that scrapped RP idea. I can't for the life of me kill Lion, Snow, Tiger more than once, Cyndaquil, or the pokemon I'm very closely attached to.

Also yes, same here. Before I read this book, I hated Crowfeather. He ticked me off so badly, but they made him more likeable in this new book. You might like it.]

Snow looked at his pokegear. "Tiger just stated that they needed to evacuate. He just texted me saying he'll meet us by the pokemon center." He said to Connor politely.

Lion looked up and waved a greeting to Mel. "Apparently from what I skimmed through. Pokémon from the region, or just truly call the fallen region home, might be able to talk to humans and be understood until their region is saved. As well as something else." He mumbled and pulled the journal out once more. He opened it to a page where Lugia and the three legendary birds were seen. "Johto and Kanto have very close ties. If one region falls. Be it Kanto or Johto, then the other will not be too far behind for its destruction. This is why when a legendary is missing that Lugia, Ho-Oh, or other Johto legends will help Kanto's balance and vice versa. Since Mew, Mewtwo, and the legendary birds are missing. Kanto is falling, but Ho-Oh, and the legendary beasts are keeping the balance." He trailed off. "Wait! This explains why Tiger's worried about Johto, and why the Ice Path melted! Suicune must be filling in for Articuno."

[hA that’s what I said about Mel and then I let her get s t a b b e d
I guess I wasn’t as attached to her as you are to your characters? Which I totally get owo
I feel like if you killed off Cyndaquil you’d have to kill off Tiger too? I dunno, I can’t exactly imagine Tiger without his sassy mouse partner.

Ooo I hope they made him better?? I might snatch the book soon to see]

Connor nodded, tightening his backpack strap as he did so. “Okay. Let’s get out of here then.” He looked up and turned his head to look at Lion, listening to the older trainer. “.. Kanto and Johto are considered the same region in Kalos, aren't they?”

“Yeah,” Mel nodded, turning to look at Lion too. “During history, they had us lost off the regions. They put Kanto and Johto under the same category and just called it ‘Origins’.” She mused. “Is Suicune is filling in for Articuno, then.. Who’s filling in for Suicune?”

“No one, weren’t you listening?”

“What about the other legends? From other regions?” The girl asked, ignoring her almost-brother with practiced ease. “They can’t just sit by and watch Kanto and Johto fall! Is that what they’re doing?”

[agreed 100% I can't write Tiger without Cyndaquil. That's the main reason I had Tiger and Cyndaquil's relationship really connect in the original story. I was debating on writing a mini story based on the time skipped parts of forest of the guardian later, but from Cyndaquil's POV. If Cyndaquil died, Tiger would too. I can't write them separately.

Also they did, honestly I went in mocking the book saying it'd be 400+ pages of Crowfeather complaining and being a poorcat's Jayfeather. But it was pretty good.]

[also Cyndaquil is gonna be a lot like Jayfeather in this story since he's more worried about Tiger and will be more sarcastic to Lion and Snow when he knows he can talk X3 I love Jayfeather, he's the best sassy and angry cat!]

Lion nodded in response to Connor. "Not only Johto though. In Alola they have a city called Malie City. It has a replica of tin tower with Altaria on the top. Makes me think if some Alolans think that Johto and Hoenn are the same too. That has a replica of the tourist trap called the Nugget bridge. The original Nugget bridge was in Cerulean City." He explained politely.

Snow sighed and looked thoughtful at Mel's question. That's a good question. If Lugia and Celebi are missing, Ho-Oh is filling in for Mewtwo. Suicune for Articuno, Raikou for Zapdos, and Entei for Moltres who is filling in for Johto? He thought to himself.

"Connor is right, no one is filling in for them. Since Kanto is so close to Johto, the other region legends don't usually help out. Heck when Tiger first became Johto's guardian, he had to leave Alola for a couple days in between class and helping you guys with Aether just to fill in for Kanto's guardian. It was shortly before Kanto got a guardian, and still some of Kanto fell. Moltres used to live in the victory road but moved back to one of the sevii islands because too many trainers were getting to him. Zapdos was kicked out of his home for a bit since the powerplant had been reopened for a very short time, and Tiger had to get help from Mewtwo to shut it down again, and Articuno nearly lost the seafoam islands when Blaine made his gym there." Lion explained quietly. "Truth is, no other region is as close as Johto and Kanto, and that goes back to the Kantonian war. Johto had to send trainers in to help, that's why Frost's Raichu is so vicious without a Rocketball, because he saw his original trainer get killed." He sighed and shook his head clear. "Point is, the other regions' legends can't help. If they leave their homes for too long, then the entire pokemon world could fall, and innocent pokemon and people could die. This reason alone, is why Tiger hated his guardianship title, and trainers who felt left out and were jealous of the title, I'm not saying just you Mel, half of Johto didn't like it when Tiger said he was guardian. Really didn't help him." He sighed and walked back into the main room for the game corner. Tiger was with the others sitting at an empty roulette table waiting. Cyndaquil was passed out on his shoulder as the two groups had come back.

[sorry for teleporting the other characters, but Lucky is still on hiatus/has writers block and Ata is mia and I didn't want to be stuck in the game corner for another month.]

[also events in between the Kanto and Johto games/remakes. Really helped me out for Lion's last comment lol. I've been in Kanto and Johto for far too long.]

[mmm I love tiger and cyndaquil’s relationship?? It’s?? So healthy and soft? It could be cool to see something from Cyndaquil’s perspective :0

Djalflfl poor Crowfeather,, but he was such a whinebag i couldn’t ever feel bad for him? So maybe I’ll give this one a shot.

Oh boY SASSY CYNDAQUIL MAKES A RETURN!! God tier trope™ tbh

Edit; if my phone autocorrects ‘alola’ to “aloha” onE MORE TIME ILL RIP MY TEXTBOOK IN HALF

Edit #2: excuse me I have a texbook to rip]

“Mia thinks they’re the same region,” Connor pointed out, casting a look over his shoulder.

Mel grimaced. “Mia also thinks tea is better than hot chocolate, so I don’t take her very seriously anymore.” She said in a grumbly sort of tone.

Connor frowned at Lion’s explanation. “Really? .. That’s not what I saw. Back in Kalos, they had to get Alola’s legendaries to help out with a lab accident that almost wiped out half the region. How come Alola can help out? And Giratina never goes home.”

“He lives in our basement.” Mel explained swiftly, only partially joking. It did seem like the giant centipede lived in their basement half the time. “If he goes back to Sinnoh, I don’t think he’d ever be able to come back.”

“Ah.” The boy looked thoughtful for a moment. “Kanto and Johto are so dependent on each other, it almost seems unhealthy to some extent. If we could find the legendaries, maybe things would go back to normal? .. We’ll never be able to do that. Maybe regular Pokémon could pitch in to keep everything from falling apart as a temporary fix? Kalos did that, remember?”

“Suddenly, I have amnesia.” Mel said, flipping her hair back out of her eyes, which were now downcast. She’d never really truly apologized for how mean she’d been to Tiger over some silly title. “.. Yeah.”

“Look, there they are!” Connor lifted one hand to wave a greeting as they approached the table.

[yeah any mentions of a lab incident in Kalos are p prior with a story I was gonna do and then gave up on in favor of eating my homework]

[ <You with the textbook? XD (sorry saw it on a youtube video and had to make a gif of it since I couldn't find one.)

Honestly I love Tiger and Cyndaquil's relationship too. They're my favorite trainer/Pokémon duo to write. So I might actually start that mini story closer to Christmas. (don't quote me on it though because I'm not that great when it comes to dead lines.

Also agreed, I mean I really hated his character in new prophecy and power of three I sort of blocked him from my mind. I mean I even feel awful for Breezepelt since Crowfeather never showed him any love.

Definitely I love writing a sassy pokemon X3.

My tablet does that a lot.]

Lion shrugged in response and blinked when Tiger got up and waved a greeting back. "Because Alola and Kalos are a lot closer than you think, well I think. Not sure." Tiger explained in a somewhat tired tone and shrugged uncertainly. His eyes were somewhat dull with exhaustion.

"I still say you need to go check on Johto." Cyndaquil said to Tiger quietly and Tiger nodded.

"Soon, bud. You need to rest first that's a deep cut." Tiger said to Cyndaquil quietly and stretched. "What's wrong with tea? I mean it's not as good as hot chocolate, but it can still be pretty good." He said in response to Mel.

Lion glanced at Tiger before looking over to Mel and Connor. Tiger had overheard Connor and replied while avoiding Mel's glance as he had been wearing the johto guardian ribbon on his bag. "Johto and Kanto are so dependent on each other because they're next to each other. Yes, the normal pokemon can help out and try to keep it from falling, but in the end the legendary pokemon are the only ones who might be able to help out the most." He explained simply. "I mean, Kalos might've done that, but in the end. Kalos pokemon are stronger than Johto pokemon." He admitted quietly.

[Not sure. I never really thought of it. I did have an idea a couple months ago with Lucky about a dream Tiger would have, but I might change it or cut it out for the time being. Maybe we can do that if you want. Or you can eat your homework too. That's cool XD.]

E v e n b e t t e r. Christmas has so much potential for stories and I loVE IT I wish you the best of luck for whatever your story happens to be ayy

Rip Breezepelt, you had a good run bud

Sassy Pokémon are?? The b e s t Pokémon partners?? I dunno they’re hilarious to read and write about skskakdk]

“Are they close?” Connor made a face. “I haven’t looked at a map in ages.”

“You haven’t looked at a map period.” Mel shot back, training her eyes on the ground. “There’s nothing wrong with tea, but it’s just not as good as hot chocolate. In my humble opinion.” She said in a slight rush. She hasn’t actually had a chance to talk to Tiger since.. Well, since Hoenn. And that had been a gross mess she wished she could tear apart.

The tension crackling in the air around Mel was too thick to cut. Connor intervened swiftly, saving the girl from making a hasty remark. “Kalos is so weak, you have no idea. If an apocalypse happened,” (Mel winced) “Kalos would be the first down.”

”You don’t have to be so rude about it,” Riu protested, despite the obvious truth behind the boy’s words.

“Any luck?” Connor asked Tiger, dutifully ignoring the seething Pokémon behind him.

Mel’s mouth twisted up into some sort of bitter smile. “Can we.. Can we talk?” She asked, directing the question toward Tiger.

[edit Bc I’m an idiot and forgot: It was originally going to be a short about some sort of apolocolyptic scenario thanks to Lysandre probably, but I never got around to writing it out, so it’s mostly just background knowledge for my characters now.

[Pb and Jeff are the best way to laugh and make gifs X3 if you're having a bad day I recommend their videos. Especially the Katemari democy one.

Also same here. The story is based in the snowy season that Tiger and Cyndaquil met so a christmasy story would be best. Maybe I'll post the ideas I have for it in a bit.

Agreed.

Again agreed 1000000000%]

Tiger overheard Riu and glanced at Connor. He was about to reply when Lion gently placed a hand on Tiger's shoulder signaling that he should stay quiet. "Kalos and Alola are somewhat close." He said politely and sighed. "Though I still say Johto would be the first to fall."

"Yeah Tiger any luck?" Lion asked quickly and gently hit Tiger on the back of the head as if to tell him to shut up. Cyndaquil couldn't help but chuckle at Lion's actions. Tiger blinked and shook his head clear.

"No we didn't find anything on Mira. Just some stupid words of bad advice from Frost." Tiger said with a sigh.

"You mean you staying as Johto's guardian?" Cyndaquil said dryly making Tiger sigh and shake his head clear. He cast Cyndaquil an apologetic glance and knew both Frost and Cyndaquil were right. He had to focus on Johto, but he needed to help Kanto.

Looking surprised he glanced at Mel and frowned when he noticed the bitter smile. Umm...is this a good idea? The usual guarded nature of himself crept into Tiger's actions and he nodded before pushing it away successfully. "Yeah, Mel of course what's up?" He said softly.

[edit: I was wondering about that. Though, I still stick by Tiger being nervous about Johto falling and saying he thinks that Johto would fall first in an apocalyptic scenario. Also that sounds super amazing for a story. I'd be down to read it.

Also enjoy your homework. I might have some salt if it's lacking it.]

[I am going to take that advice and go watch some now to learn more ajflsldkf

Oo go for it? Your writing is super good anyway, so I’m curious to see how it’ll come out of you do try it :0

Connor grinned faintly, green eyes glittering with amusement. “Frost?” He’d forgotten all about him, to be completely honest. “I’m sure Mira’s okay. If anything, I’m more worried about the people holding her captive.”

Mel snorted, clasping her hands together behind her back. “I’m not gonna threaten you.” She said with a soft laughing sound. “I just.. Wanted to actually apologize. For everything. Which is saying a lot, because I did a lot. .. But I’m mostly talking about the whole ‘guardian thing’.” Her eyes flew down again. “Because you deserve to be guardian. Probably more than most people. This is probably a bad time to bring this up, but,” She lifted one hand hesitantly and then let it fall. “I.. I’m really sorry. I know it’s not gonna help anything, but.. I’ll.. Just stop talking before this gets more weird.” She laughed awkwardly, shoving her hands into her pockets.

(Connor coughed awkwardly and Riu jabbed the brunette with his elbow, resulting in a soft-spoken argument between the Lucario and Pom.)

[You won't regret it XD

I'll do that and add a small unfinished short story from Cyndaquil before forest. Since I have absolutely no clue how to continue on with this story. This story has been on the backburner for a year now.]

"Good point Connor." Snow laughed in amusement and Lion smiled before nodding. Tiger just shrugged in response to Connor and glanced at Mel once more. He blinked in shock as he hadn't expected her to apologize for what she did. He just come to accept the fact that he had to walk on eggshells around Mel when it came to the guardians.

Tiger blinked a few times before smiling and politely, more so as in a friend way, placed a hand on Mel's shoulder. "It's alright. Honestly, I've gotten somewhat used to it." He shrugged and sighed before offering Mel a weak smile. He then sighed and withdrew as he thought about Mira for a moment. He shook his head clear and tucked his hands into his pockets. "Though, right now. If I'm being honest. I don't think I deserve the title of guardian. Johto is falling. Whirl islands and the Ice path are gone all because I'm focusing on Mira..." He mumbled, finally admitting to what he was hiding. "I'm not even sure if I can find her before both regions fall."

[i DONT REGRET IT YOU WERE SO RIGHT THANK YOU—

Aaa Cyndaquil!! Is such a good character what a good brother honestly. get that pun out of my good void of a house aaAAaAAAAA—

“At least someone acknowledges my genius.” Connor teased, eyes bright with amusement.

Mel grinned in a slightly less tense sort of way, easing up a bit (though she did repress a flinch away from him). “Yeah, you shouldn’t have gotten used to it. Sorry.” She interlocked her fingers together with a yawn before dropping one hand to put the other on Tiger’s shoulder, albeit a bit hesitantly, nervously. “Don’t doubt yourself. People prey on doubt. If they see you doubt yourself, they’ll doubt you too.” She smiled. “Besides, you don’t have to worry about it alone. Look around,” She gestured broadly around the room with her free hand. “You’ve got everyone in here supporting you.” She offered him a thumbs-up and a playful wink. “We can multitask. We’ll get Mira back and Keep Johto and Kanto running.” The smile fell and she squeezed his shoulder gently. “You don’t have to trust me, but trust us. We can do this. Trust yourself, too. If you think saving Mira is important, then it is. And we’ll back you up.”

[ayy thanks!! I will :0
