Tiger blinked and glanced at Colin. "We can always test them out when were done here." He shrugged. He noticed Snow tense up as a trainer walked past them and looked at Tiger in a disbelieved manner. Was that...

"Frost!" Snow whispered in shock and took a half a step back.

Cyndaquil was about to respond when he saw Frost. "Rocket has to be here." He whispered grimly.

Tiger nodded and tapped his chin. "Hmm, stealth would be useful." He said quietly. He watched as Frost went to the poster and dissappeared down the staircase. "Maybe we can use our smaller Pokemon to create a diversion?" He offered softly.

"Frost, he's Tiger and Snow's father, and he is a member of Rocket." Cyndaquil explained quietly. "Last time Tiger saw Frost, Frost and Giovanni defeated him in a fight, trying to kill Tiger. They kidnapped Mira as well." He sighed.

"Well I've got nothing but small pokemon so that definitely sounds like a plan," Colin nodded, scratching Lum's head.

"...Oh. So he's the guy. Got it," Lum's tail flicked and she glanced back at Colin, smiling, as he scratched her head. "How hard could it be to defeat the guy?"

Tiger nodded in agreement and looked over to Snow and Lion. Snow sent out his Growlithe, Ko, while Lion called out his Manectric since the Pokemon was a foot smaller than other Manectric. Tiger called Yuki out and looked at Cyndaquil. "Alright you guys will make a diversion, stick together and don't leave anyone behind." Tiger said quietly.

"Got it." Cyndaquil nodded and looked at the other Pokémon. He glanced at Lum. "Not too hard if we work together, just be cautious if you see a Houndoom."

Colin let out Tua, who had evolved into a Helioptile. Both he and Lum nodded. The Eevee jumped down from Colin's shoulder and glanced at Cyndaquil, confused, but nodded in understanding.

Tiger nodded and Cyndaquil went towards the hidden staircase. "This might lead to a fight, are you guys ready?" He asked quietly.

Cyndaquil stayed close to Lum and looked at the eevee. Yuki trailed behind them. "Hey Lum, wanna show this group of idiot grunts what an Eevee can do?" Yuki asked Lum kindly and smiled.

For a seventeen year old, Mel was really quiet when it came to footsteps.

Maybe it was from years of training. Maybe it was from years of learning to hold her breath and jump from spot to spot around the furniture. Or maybe it was just because she wasn’t stupid, contrast to popular belief nowadays.

(She really missed having a partner to do it with.)

Only Dew was small or light enough to do it with her anymore; Riu was out of it, Aki was really tall, and Amat was fast but not light.

But Dew preferred to do things on her own.

Which left Mel in the dark (sometimes literally) with some bad memories and crippling exhaustion.

Oh well. At least Connor was there. A bit. Usually. Sometimes.

Tiger yawned and stretched before glancing at Colin. "Don't worry, it'll be okay. I promise." He said reassuringly.

Cyndaquil smiled at Tua and walked down a hall. He watched as a few grunts passed by. "Any signs of Mira or the silver wing?" Yuki asked after he smiled at Lum reassuringly.

"No I didn't see her or hear anything...we just got here dude." Cyndaquil said quietly but in a sarcastic tone causing Yuki to roll his eyes

Tiger nodded in understanding and placed his hand on Colin's shoulder reassuringly. "Just stay close to us and we'll get through it easily." He said softly and frowned. "I remember my first fight." He said softly.

Ko looked at Lum. "I think i can, I only really know Snow and Kimberly's scents." He said quietly. "But I think I vaguley remembered it." He whispered quietly and sniffed the ground. He caught a faint scent of Mira.

"Anything?" Yuki and Cyndaquil asked at the same time, Hikari was sniffing the air.

"Were you nervous?" Colin asked, looking over.

Lum was sniffing, too, but didn't pick up on anything (having only been near Mira once for about five minutes). She looked over to Hikari and Ko expectantly.

"All I smell is burnt popcorn from their break room," Tua snickered slightly.

"Course I was." Tiger said softly and offered Colin a reassuring smile. "It was back when I turned six, Cyndaquil, Pidgeot, Tally, and I fought Frost, who was trying to get to Ho-Oh. I thought defeating Ho-Oh was the only way to stop Frost. So I challenged Ho-Oh to a battle while Cyndaquil distracted Frost and Pidgey and Tally weakened Ho-Oh. I jumped from a tree and was hoping to land on Ho-Oh's back in an attempt to knock Ho-Oh out somehow, but I instead landed on his beak." He said in embarrassment. "I hung on for my life, but in the end pidgey, Cyndaquil, Tally and I lost. Pidgey evolved to save me from falling to the ground, and lugia helped us win the battle." He finished the story and sighed. "I mean, being shaken around by a giant flaming chicken isn't my personal favorite thing to do." He chuckled.

"I got a scent, but I think it's one of her notebooks." Ko reported quietly.

"That's a good lead let's go!" Cyndaquil said cheerfully and smiled

"Snow must've made that popcorn." Ko laughed causing Hikari and Yuki to chuckle.

(sure. The group arrived in the game corner and Tiger had an idea where the small Pokémon would go ahead and create a diversion. Ko, Lum, and Hikari are trying to find Mira. Tiger and the others are talking about previous battles as they go into the base.)

Rose had followed silently after Cyndaquil while Mun-Mun stayed back due to being JJ's only pokemon. "Flaming chicken?" JJ mused quietly while Mun-Mun quietly giggled.

"I see why Papa J and Papa R fit in so well with this group." Mun-Mun mused causing JJ to nod her head and Jamie to quietly to snort.
