Kat nodded, and closed the book. He went to the counter, and
checked it out. "You can keep that one...it showed up randomly one
day, and it isn't in our systems" the librarian said kindly. Kat
nodded a thanks, and looked at the book.
Lucia flipped through the book, pausing on the page with the
flower. "I feel like I've heard of this flower.." She murmured,
thwacking her head with the book. "I don't remember where.. maybe
it was on the news?" She gave up remembering and handed the book
back. "At least now we have a small idea of what we're looking
for."
Andromeda put her book back upon the shelf, "Alright... how does
that book end, anyway?", she asked, gesturing towards the diary of
a Mexican gray wolf.
Kat flipped through the book "it looks like they almost found
paradise...but a group of humans attacked them...the pages stop
after that" he said quietly.
Andromeda looked crestfallen for a moment before resuming a neutral
expression. "A shame..." she said quietly, looking back towards the
shelf of books.
"I remember this one!" Lucia breathed, grinning widely and pulling
a book off the shelf. "Cheetah's are so cool." She slid the book
back into place and moved on.
Kat looked over the map, and looked around for any hints of where
the wolves went. He noticed a garden was raked down on the map, and
was about a three moons journey.
Lucia approached Kat and stood on her tiptoes to peer over his
shoulder. "Whatcha looking at?" She asked, looking at the map. She
settled back down flat on her feet.
