Andromeda chuckled, "Humans are so odd. Are there not 'beasts'
among them, even in their cities? I guess they have always been
afraid of what's in the forest..." she said, bitterly. She
stared at Kat for a moment, studying him. "Never liked that word,
'beast'. It should be reserved for worse things than us,[/i]" she
said.
Kat nodded in agreement, and smiled. "Humans are afraid of the
unknown. They'd much rather chase their non existent tails, and
obey a leader than explore, and learn. We might have our 'human'
forms, but it doesn't make us them, and it doesn't make us
beasts..." he said quietly. "Only man kind itself is the true
beast..."
"This is a truth,"Andromeda growled. She shook her head,
"Forgive my aggression. I haven't assumed this form for a long
while before running into you all. Of course, ", she
chuckled,"Now I am reluctant to change back,", she said.
"It's alright...I understand why you wouldn't want to change back.
After all...I don't like being in my human form all the time" he
sighed, and looked at his hands.
"When you live amongst the street rats and pan handelers, no one
looks at you long neighbor closely enough to recognize
anything," Andromsa explained, "There are obvious downsides,
of course," she added, chuckling.
Kat nodded, and took his coat off. He didn't feel like switching
into his animal form so he placed the cost behind him like a
pillow. "For one human bodies get uncomfortable faster than the
anima forms" he said softly.
"And thumbs!" Lucia called, entering the cave, back in
coyote form. She curled up on her makeshift moss bed and yawned,
dropping her head against her paws.
"Bless humans and their ability to pick stuff up with their
hands." Lucia grumbled, closing her eyes and dragging her tail
against herself. "You good, cat?"
Andromeda huffed, "What things do we need to pick up anyway?
Useless ability...", she grumbled, partially to herself. Her
annoyance was feigned, however. She felt at peace now that her new
companions were all safely in the cave.
