Tiger blinked I can trust her... he thought to himself, and
looked around. Though there were trainers in the center it was
mainly clear. He then dropped his voice to a whisper to where only
Mira could hear. "Lion is the rightful owner of the Rainbow
Wing...Snow stole it...er rather Frost stole it, and gave it to
Snow..." he said darkly.
"Well that's the problem. Ho-Oh can't harm Lion, but Lion still
needs to prove he earned the summons item..." he sighed. "If I try
and take the item then Ho-Oh will try and kill me. He's been
brainwashed, and is being controlled by a special type of pokeball
that Team Rocket made. They call it a Rocketball. It has the
ability to catch any pokemon, including trainer caught pokemon, and
brainwash them..." he sighed lowly. "If we can find a way to
destroy the pokeball without getting killed then we might be able
to free Ho-Oh, but after that...Lion will have to prove himself" he
shook his head. "Personally I don't think I'm ready to take Ho-Oh
on yet" he mumbled slightly afraid.
"Oh ho ho, no. Not even close. We both aren't. At this point we
have a slim chance of even surviving. But..." She smiled,
despite her obviously pessimistic statement. "That's the point of
training pokemon. To make you stronger."
Tiger nodded, and sat down once more. He looked at his injured arm,
still hidden by his jacket sleeve, and sighed. "Personally I don't
know if I can fight Ho-Oh...I mean when it comes to having people I
care about go into danger then I have a slightly better chance,
especially with Lugia fighting with me...but what if Lugia
faints...what if we fail..." he sighed, and shook his head.
Tiger nodded hollowly "err...sorry I just have a slight fear of
Ho-Oh..." he mumbled lowly. He nodded, and tried to sound a bit
more cheerful "I'm sure we'll figure something out..."
Tiger nodded "thanks" he said softly. He looked over to Cyndaquil
"thing is I feel bad about this...from what Lugia told me, Lion was
suppose to get his summons item about the same time I got mine, and
before we ended up in Viridian Forest. Ho-Oh was taken from Ripple
forest. He burned the original Silver Wing, and saved Lugia before
both of them were captured" he sighed. "Frost took the original
Rainbow Wing from the original owner, who was Lion's father..."
Tiger nodded, and looked away "yeah..." he sighed, and trailed off.
He was feeling slightly guilty about what had happened. "Thing
is...Frost might have killed Lion's father to get the item. I don't
know if Matt is gone or not..." he growled in disapproval.
"You might not ever know. The past is behind you--what matters now
is trying to fix what happened," Mira pointed out gently,
and put her hand on his shoulder.
Tiger nodded and smiled "yeah that true" he said kindly. "Thanks
Mira" he replied and looked over to cyndaquil, who was playfully
rolling an Oran berry across the ground.
Cyndaquil burnt the Oran berry with a light flamethrower. The
Pokemon then put the berry's flame out, and went back over to
Tiger. The berry in his paws, he jumped onto Tiger's lap and ate
the scorched berry. "So any clues on what we'll do of we run into
Rocket" Tiger asked Mira a bit more cheerfully.
Tiger woke up the next day, and walked out to the lobby of the
Pokemon center, he left cyndaquil to sleep in the room, and yawned.
He looked out the window, and sighed softly. I wonder how the
battle will go... he thought to himself, and looked toward
Misty's gym.
Mira woke up to Ivysaur poking her in the face with one paw. "Hey
Ivysaur," She greeted groggily. Ivysaur jumped off of the bed,
allowing her to sit up and get off. She quickly got dressed and
went out to the lobby. "Hey, Tiger."
