Luca was in the back of the cave with a black cloth in his mouth, serving as a gag. He had been knocked out cold.

Aithusa stepped towards Remy. "What boy? My snack? You aren't taking it from me, I haven't eaten in days." He looked at Shadow and whimpered. "Why did you have to bring them here?"

Remy glared at Aithusa. "He's a pathetic dragon, if he even is one. Where's the treasure, Aithusa."

Laura slowly approached Aithusa. "Didn't know you had friends like this, Shadow. Where'd you meet him from?"

Luca laid on the wet, dirty cave floor, motionless.

Savannah tried to see how luca was but couldn't see well in the dark sighing she tried to figure out how to either wake him or get luca out of the cave

Laura nodded. "I sure do." She said.

Aithusa stepped into the light to face Remy. "I'm not letting you take anything from me. That baton piece is mine, it's the most valuable thing I own."

Remy snarled. "Then we can fight for it. Whoever wins gets the piece and the boy."

Laura looked at Aithusa thoughtfully. "Oh, well, thank you for saving my sister."

Aithusa ignored Laura and glared at Remy. "He only wants to fight because he knows he'll win with his size advantage. I'm not giving it up."

Remy glared back at Aithusa. "You may be right, but I won't leave without that piece. It's for-" He whispered the last part to Aithusa.

Aithusa stood there, wide eyed. "You mean they're coming back? What will happen to the mortals?"

"That's up to the mortals. Either way... it's happening. And we need that piece." Aithusa nodded and went to the back of the cave. He grabbed the baton half in his jaws and dropped it in front of Remy. Aithusa grabbed Luca in his jaws and dropped him on the baton piece. "Here, the boy is unconscious, but mostly well. He's poisoned, so he may not be awake for some time."

Remy grabbed Luca and slung him over his back. He grabbed the baton piece and headed out of the cave without a word.

Aithusa purred. "If it's for this cause, then I will cooperate. Farewell, stay safe, dear Shadow."

Laura grabbed Shadow's arm gently. "Let's go." She said.

Luca stirred, his fingers twitching.

Remy looked around him at the others. "All we need is the other half, then the baton will be complete. I believe it's somewhere in the human city."

Remy looked at Shadow and nodded. "Do you know where that would be?"

Laura spoke up. "We actually live there, so we could show you around."

Remy looked at Savannah. "If you could find a way for us to transport him in a fashion that doesn't slow us down, then that would be simply fantastic." He said.
