Laura frowned. "Who now?"

"It's pretty bad, especially when you stick out like a sore thumb with your dark hair." Luca said.

Luca looked in the direction of the group. "Ugh, I just remembered, I need to find something before we leave. Remy's probably already pissed with me for getting distracted from the mission. Wanna come with me and help get it?" He asked Savannah.

Remy looked at Shadow with surprise. "Well, I suppose you do know him then."

Laura punched Shadow in the arm. "Why don't you ever tell me whenever you go out?!? I should burn your arm for getting me worried like that! why do you go and see him?"

"That should make this easier, as he knows you and won't harm you. As for the rest of us... You may have to be the one to retrieve it." Remy said to Shadow.

Luca looked up at the rocks he was sitting on a while ago. "It should be up there. Let's go." He said, sprinting up to the rocks.

"Hell no, you're coming too, Remy. I won't have my sister go up there by herself with this 'beast'." Laura said, putting her hands on her hips.

Luca stopped in front of the mouth of the cave, breathing heavily from the running. "Here it is. Let's hurry." He walked into the cave and felt around for the piece of the baton. He put his hand in something scaly and rough. The thing shuffled and whipped around. Luca froze and slowly retracted his hand. A pair of jaws grabbed his hand and pulled him into the darkness.

Laura rolled her eyes. "I know that, I just worry about you as your sister." She said as she climbed a rock to follow her.

Remy leaped after Shadow.

A low rumble is heard from the darkest corner of the cave, along with muffled yelps.

Remy came up from behind Shadow with Laura on his back. "Aithusa! Come out of here, you vile reptile." He barked.

An ugly, white head poked through the darkness with a piece of flesh in it's mouth.

A hand reached out from the darkness, but Aithusa kicked it away with his back leg. He sniffed the air to see who was there. "Shadow! why so early, friend?" He sniffed the air again. "And you brought others." He growled.

Laura scrunched up her nose. "Shadow, what the hell is that?" She asked in a slightly disgusted tone.

Remy growled at Aithusa. "Where have you put the boy, snake?"
