Liana tried to ignore the two people next to her, instead listening
to Mr. Smith. He went on about how he was perfectly fine with
superhumans, and as long as we didn't destriy the house, we were

being fine with her kind. No one was fine with them. But if she had
permission to use her powers, she would put them to use. Soon

peoples private thoughts like that? Someone had to put a stop to
it. Liana wasn't normally the confrontational type, but this guy
seemed to bring out the worst in her. Pushing her chair back, she
stood. She glared at the man with contempt.
Jacob placed his cutlery down when the girl rose. He could tell
that a fight was brewing, and judging by the look of absolute fury
on her face, this would be a big one. He was prepared to stop it if
he had to, but then again, it might be good for them to get their
