Might as well, Celeste thought, taking James' arm.

James was overjoyed when Celeste looped her arm in his. He lead her back into the mansion.

Seraphina blushed. Could it be he was reading her thoughts? No, that was nonsense. She looped her arm around his and let him lead her behind her brother.

"I'm Leo," Leo told her, enjoying the way he made her blush. "May I have your name?"

"Seraphina," She replied.

Name and Nickname: Liana Sterling
Apearance:

Power: Has an electromagnetic field which causes fear and unease in surrounding people and animals. hair is very strong and can stretch and move at her command, allowing her to pick up people, or move quickly by using it like spider legs. Other powers are yet to be discovered.
Personality: Shy and self conscious. quite depressed. prone to outbursts of anger
Background: Unlike some people Liana has known about her powers all her life. She first learned to control her unnaturaly long hair when she was three, when she accidentally strangled the family cat. As she got older her fear field only got strong, driving the few friend she did have away from her. She became more and more distant from her family, who treated her like an outsider who had wandered into their home. She eventually fled the place of her birth seeking refuge in dark alleys and deserted streets. When she received a letter from Mr. Smith to come and join him at his mansion, for a chance to have all money problems solved, she jumped at the chance. "Who needs friends when you have power?"

The first thing Celeste noticed upon entering the mansion was the fact Opal had seemed to vanish altogether. She muttered something under her breath in irritation. She noticed a few other people heading to the hall to the left. "The dining room's probably in there," she said to James.

Liana stepped up to a large iron grate fence. "Reminds me of the one at home" she thought to herself. Ex home. They didn't want her, so why should she stay? Some of her hair stiffened into four long spider legs. Lifting herself she quickly scuttled over the fence. She had become much less worried about using her powers in public since she left. They were already afraid. What was a little more fear then? She moved quickly over the grass on her strange appendages, arriving at the door mere moments later. The door seemed as if it were just closing. Returning her hair to normal, she knocked loudly. The door was answered moments later by a butler. "I presume you are one of the ones my master sent for?" He asked, without a hint of emotion. This surprised her slightly, but she didn't let it show. This guy is made of tougher stuff than he looks. She nodded, following the normal procedure of not speaking directly to the servants. "This way. The master will be meeting you and the others in the dining room." So there are others here, she thought. Competition that stands in my way.

"Welcome," the gentleman in the dinning room announced. "I am Ambrose Smith. I trust your trips here where pleasant and you found your rooms worthy."
"Oh yes!" Seraphina smiled. Something about this man was strange but she wasn't sure.

Leo defiantly didn't like this guy. He got a bad vibe from his thoughts. But the man hid them well. So Leo simply pulled out a chair for Serphina. Then took a seat himself.

Liana stepped into the dining room, her long dress swishing as she walked. Glancing around she took note of the others in the room. A guy with black hair and a look of boredom on his face, sitting beside a woman wearing an overly complicated blue dress and platinum hair. On the other side sat a girl with red tipped blonde hair and soot smudged on her face. Her eyes landed on the man next to her. Only one word to describe him. Gorgeous. His blonde hair seemed to enhance his stunning features. She stared a moment longer before turning to the older gentlemen at the end of the table. "I received your letter Mr. Smith." "Ahh, yes." He said with a slightly concerned look on his face. Perfectly normal considering her powers. "Please have a seat."

Power: Can harness the powers of kinetic and potential energy. The more he is hit, the more he can give and take. He can redirect attacks, as long as they are energy based.
Personality: He doesn't feel very much emotion, or he at least doesn't show it if he does. Logical, and not one to waste time and effort on something he deems pointless

Seraphina was intrigued by the new girl. She looked like she knew just how hard life was. Seraphina hoped she could help her.

James looked at the new comer with interest. Her eyes were the feature that struck him the most.

Leo got quite the read from this new girl. She had a lot of stuff in her past. But what concerned Leo, was the alarmingly high number of people present with powers. He didn't like it.

Name and nickname: Zachary (Zack) Bellex
Appearance: He's a few inches above average height and has shaggy brown hair dark enough to appear black unless in sunlight. He has one ocean blue eye and one leaf green eye and he isn't the picture of strength but he's not a complete weakling. His clothes vary.
Power: Control over spirits and shadows. (Though of course they don't always listen to him). He also has limited telepathic abilities/
Personality: Zack comes off as cold and almost emotionless as well as a bit of a smart-aleck. He isn't really a people person from his usually rude manner, but around people he gets along with he's more of a carefree joker.
Background: He may or may not reveal it.
Crush: None (yet)
Friends: Ahahaha you think he has friends? :p
Siblings: None.
Other: 19.5 years old.

"Thank you." She said. Moving around the table, she sat with an empty chair on either side. She then expanded her field enough so it would reach the nearest person, the woman in blue. Hopefully they would get the hint that she didn't want anyone near her. She felt a tickling in her mind. Someone in here was a telepathist, and was poking around in her mind! Luckily, she had had a run in with one before, so she new what to do. Using her emp field, she shoved back in the direction the probe had come from, relizeing that it was the boy with the black hair. She forced her field into his mind. That would cause a sharp pain, and a staticky voice shouting STAY OUT. The field suddenly dropped completely. She cursed at herself. She had forgotten that manipulating the field like that caused it to burn out afterwords.

Jacob moved along quickly in his horseless carriage. He had built the thing himself, and no one else could operate it, seeing as it used himself as the engine. When he had finally arived at the mansion, he couldn't help but wonder who his competition would be. Extricating himself from the machine, he brushed his hair out of his eyes and enjoyed the sunlight for a moment. He then walked up to the house, before letting himself in.

Leo glared at the girl. Who the flip was she and how did she do that? When she scowled, he smirked back at her. 'Wanna play games? Let's play,' He told her.

Seraphina looked at the girl. Something weird seemed to flow out of her. She shook herself and returned her attention to Ambrose.

Zack shifted impatiently in the carriage that seemed to move ever so slowly.
"Pick up the pace, will ya?" he called out to the driver. The carriage moved a bit faster and a few minutes later the carriage pulled up to the mansion. He grabbed his suitcase and climbed out, stumbling slightly but recovering with a scowl. He reached for the handle of the door before it was opened by a sandy-haired girl.
"Oh whoops! That's not the dining room!" She, who was Opal, shut the door in Zachary's face without even acknowledging him.
"Rude," he muttered under his breath, pulling the door back open. He entered and looked around. A woman glanced around the corner and spotted him. "Oh! Sorry about that, you must be Mr. Bellex?" He nodded silently and followed the woman to his room. He tossed his suitcase absently to his bed before turning back to the woman.
"Dinner is currently going on if you'd like to join the other guests," she added.
After the woman left he headed down, quickly locating the dining room from the commotion and taking a seat next to a black haired girl, disregarding the fact she obviously wanted to be alone.

Celeste turned her attention to Ambrose, not noticing the others much.

Liana tensed slightly when the new kid sat next to her. Now she wished that her field hadn't gone down. It would return in a minute or two, but it felt like an eternity. She wasn't really listening to the man speaking at the end of the table. Something about house rules, and not killing eachother. When the field returned, she condensed it to surround only her and the boy in the chair over. Hopefully the sudden fear he would feel would be enough to move him.

Jacob wandered around until he finally found the dining room. He opened the door, glancing at the others in the room, before moving to sit next to a dark haired girl.

Liana fumed. Another one!? Why couldn't they just leave her alone? She strengthened her field slightly, trying to get them to move.

Zack narrowed his eyes at the abrupt feeling of fear, but he shrugged it off. It tugged at him but he managed to ignore it.
Not a people person are ya? he communicated telepathically. It was a bit harder for him to communicate with other people than the spirits and shadows he would summon, but he still managed. He looked up at Ambrose, listening to him absently while waiting for a response.

Opal finally found her way to the dining room, taking a seat beside Celeste. "I almost ended up back outside," she commented to her sister.

"So, I am fine with people with special powers. If any of you happen to have any powers, please, feel safe here," Ambrose finished.

Seraphina put on a blank face and looked at James. They hadn't had friendly encounters when her power was discovered.

James was worried about Seraphina. No one could know about her secret.

Leo narrowed his eyes at Mr. Smith. Something in his voice rang false. Digging deeper he found out what exactly it was. OH! That's interesting, Leo thought. But he couldn't leave. Not yet. He looked at the girl sitting next to him.

Liana heard a voice in her mind say, "Not...person...ya?" What was with these people and trying to get in her head?! She calmed herself. Shouting would do no good. She spoke back. "My mind is private, and I would appreciate it if you would not enter it again without permission. If you do I will physically damage you. I hope you understand."

Jacob felt a nagging sense of fear, but he ignored it.

Seraphina had no idea what was going on with the three people across the table, but they seemed to be extremely tense. She turned to the boy next to her and asked, "So, where are you from?"

Leo looked at the girl, Seraphina. He contemplated what to tell her. Finally he settled with a noncommittal shrug. "Here and there."

Before he could reply the food came out. "Finally, I was starving," he exclaimed. Once the food was placed across the table and the guests were provided with plates Zack piled his own with food.

"Thank you," Celeste commented softly to one of the servers, who seemed pleased with the fact someone was grateful for all their hard work. While Opal and the guy across from her were piling their plate with food, she put a small bit onto hers before beginning to eat.
