Title: A month later
It was like frost had crawled up his bone. The morning's mist drifted away, and a black-furred wolf whom was very visible in the snow padded up to him, their flanks touching. It sent a patch of warmth through Storm's skin. His sister's emotionless green eyes looked towards him. "Storm, get some rest." She said softly, her tail flicking across his spine. "Just a few more moments." Her grumbled, still staring at the limp body in front of him.
"You've been up since last sun-down. There's no point. Besides, nothing in our lives are going to change with Adder gone. It wasn't a question. Go get rest." Echo said, a slight growl rumbling up her throat. Even with him being the current Alpha, she still wouldn't hesitate to give him orders. Snow freckled over his fur.
"He was our father, Echo." Storm said hoarsely. "Hey. Some things just die, whether it's good or bad." Echo replied. "What, like my pups? Like your love with White-fang? Echo, I can't forget this. I can't throw it away like some carcass of a three month old deer." Storm grumbled. "I know." His sister murmured softly. Storm retreated to his cave.

scar kept his gaze on the entrance of camp, ear's perked forward slightly as he kept guard.
the three pup mother's that were in the pup-den were all fast asleep, steel keeping guard over them for the moment.
[i hate roleplayer's block....]
"You were off-guard. Never be off-guard." She thundered, and stepped back. The cold of the soft snow snaked its way through her bones, making her pads numb. Her trainee rose to his paws and dipped his head apologetically. "I won't next time." He promised shakily. "There wouldn't be a next time if that was an enemy." The brown-furred wolf snapped again, her violet eye blazing. "Go back to your den. That's it for training." Ivy grumbled, knowing that the other trainees would tease the he-wolf for being weak. She didn't care.
A bold voice ordered, "Ivy, come here." The she-wolf turned, to see Blade's blood-red eyes sticking out of his den and staring at her. She padded over, and moved her head slightly upwards so her violet gaze was steady with his. She hated being shorter then him and looking fragile. Her jaw muscles clenched. "Yes?" She said in a tone that was exaggerated with positive attitude. Blade's eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"We're attacking the Wolves of the Shadows soon," Blade paused. His crimson glared burned in her eyes, stamping a firm memory in her mind. "So?" Ivy hissed, her head leaned in a bit challenging-like. "Just wanted you to know." Blade grumbled, his tail flicking dismissively. He looked suspicious. Could he?... No. Ivy strode away cautiously.

white-fang was leading them since he didn't feel like walking behind them, plus he'd been a bad mood for a while so scar was letting him lead the hunt patrol for a change.
he had his head near the ground but eye's straight ahead, ear's pinned back.
his nerves half on edge from the cold weather.
His violet eyes narrowed, and for a split second he saw his mother in his reflection. Tiger took a deep breath of air and stepped back, stumbling slightly across the slippery snow. Ivy's a traitor to the pack. He reminded himself wearily. He huffed and turned around and strolled north.
The echoes of voices sounded quietly through the oak trees. The voices were faint, and Tiger stopped soundlessly to listen and strive to make out the words.
"I'll go this way. You two go the other way. We'll meet back by the sycamore tree later." A she-wolf.
"Are you sure?" A he-wolf. Tiger's ears pinned back.
"Go!" The same she-wolf snapped. It sounded vaguely familiar. The paw steps of a wolf came closer. They were light steps, that indicated the she-wolf was lithe and not very heavy. Tiger could probably take her down if necessary.
For an odd reason--Tiger did not know why-- he didn't move. He just waited, facing the direction of the noise. A lithe, brown-furred wolf came into his range of sight. She had very soft fur that made her seem fragile and light purple eyes. Tiger's heart thumped.
"Ivy?" He stared. The she-wolf looked up in surprise, and took a step back. Her eyes showed terror.
"Tiger... Why are you here?" She said softly, her tail flicking very slowly. Tiger shook his head as if to clear his thoughts. "No. Why are you here? You betrayed the pack." He took a step closer, and glared into her eyes. It hurt him inside, but he didn't know why. Ivy's gaze was soft. "Tiger, I--" He interrupted her.
"Why? Why did you do it? Why did you leave us, for that... that monster?" Tiger demanded a bit louder. Lily's eyes filled with pain. "I'm so sorry." She whispered, and her paw slammed into his head. The snowy world dizzied and he fell into the cold. Tiger strained to keep his eyes open, but he couldn't. His eyes closed and he blacked out.

''hey white-fang... shouldn't we be heading back now..?'' he asked.
his brother only glanced back at scar, an irritated look in his eye's now that scar was closer.
he pinned his ear's back and slowed his pace down, just to where he was walking behind his brother now.
white-fang turned around and headed back for camp, his pace growing quicker with every step.
scar and steel started as white-fang went back to camp, then went back themselves.
they had to run to keep up with him.

scar and steel both greeted their mate's and nuzzled their pup's.
scar looked over to shimmer and muttered something into her ear, then slightly jerked his head towards his brother in the grotto.
shimmer looked in the direction of the grotto then nodded, picking her pup up and setting her down next to dagger's pup's.
shimmer walked out of the pup den and stretched, shaking her pelt out as she made her way to the grotto where white-fang was.
''hello white-fang'' she said.
he looked up at shimmer and is ear's perked forward, and he sat up to where their gaze was even.
''hello shimmer'' he said politely.
she chuckled and licked his cheek.
''you don't have to be so formal with me white-fang, your a hunter and fighter, and your brother's one of the wolf of the shadow council member's, so you've got better ranking then me'' she said, looking down with her ear's pinned.
''shimmer please don't get upset...'' he muttered, ear's pinned back in worry.
Jinx growled furiously in under the leaves of a thicket, her sleek blue-gray fur smeared in dirt. "Torn, shut up." She hissed in her brother's ear. She and her brother were identical, excluding his chocolate brown eyes and his stronger figure. She was smaller than him but was slim and moved stealthily. "Your being noisy, and it's scaring the prey away." Jinx murmured. It wasn't a lie; the squirrel in front of them had hopped away. "Your acting like Mother," Torn replied wearily, butting his shoulder to hers and sending her in a tangle of branches.
Her skin got scratched and she squirmed, but eventually got to her paws on her own and purposely stepped on Torn's paw with all the muscle she had. He whimpered slightly, but his jagged teeth sank into Jinx's ear and she surrendered. "You always have been the weaker one." Torn snorted, lightly prodded her shoulder teasingly. Jinx's emerald-green eyes looked away. "You can't chase down a baby rabbit." Jinx replied in her defense.
"Yeah, but you can't take down a pup, which means I'll have to defend you..." Torn said, but then his voice faltered and he silenced. Jinx looked back at him, confused. Torn never shuts up when he's teasing me... She thought. "Torn, what--" He gave her a furious glare, and yanked her deeper into the bush. Jink began to understand as a group of pack wolves strolled ahead, but was still confused on why they needed to hide. One of the gray she-wolfs halted, and her nose scrunched. Jinx pressed her flank with Torn's. "I smell something." The she-wolf murmured. Playfully, a he-wolf nudged her in the side. "Please. Your probably just dreaming, Ruby." The he-wolf chuckled. The she-wolf shook her head, and padded towards the bush. Jinx reared back silently, but when Torn tried to follow, he snapped a branch. "Show yourselves!" The pack wolf barked. Jinx and Torn were small, and hidden in the branches that separated them and the she-wolf. Torn slipped on a fallen leaf, and the whole bush shook. The she-wolf's muzzle zoomed forwards, and grabbed Jinx by the scruff.
"Torn!" She yelped, and he scattered after her, growling at the she-wolf that was much stronger then him. "Let go of my sister!" He yelped, grabbing the she-wolf's tail and yanking. The she-wolf easily slipped out of Torn's grip, and but Jinx down. "They're just pups. Rogues pups, I believe. Where is your mother?" Another he-wolf asked. Jinx glared. "What is your concern about our dead mother?" Jinx snapped boldly. The he-wolf sighed. "Bring them back to camp." He took Torn bythe scruff, and the third wolf took Jinx.
