Lily and Storm padded into the camp from their hunting, carrying a
faun. Their tails were lightly entwined together. Lily caught a
glance at her sister Cinder, who was glaring at the two ruefully
but looked away quickly. She couldn't help but think about her poor
sister, who had scurried away from herself every single time they
got a foot close to each other. Cinder kept glaring at Lily and
Storm. They dropped the faun in the fresh-kill pile, which was
getting very low due to the winter incoming.
dagger slept in one of the empty den's by herself while scar was
out hunting.
white-fang yawned and laid stretched out on a rock near the edge of
camp, his thick coat a bit more puffed out then before, due to
winter coming, he needed a thicker fur coat.
(all i can think of.....)
Lily padded frantically in the forest. Blade had probably forgotten
her after two moons, but... She padded softly into a grotto. "Um...
Hello?" She said, looking at a young white-furred he-cat. Her belly
was swollen.
white-fang looked over with his ear's perked up.
he got up and growled in warning.
''who are you and what are you doing in my pack's territory?!'' he
barked, teeth bared.
he wasn't going to attack, he wasn't that harsh when it came to
she-wolves in her condition.
Lily's eyes pained, her feathery fur was tattered, greasy, and
caked in mud and dirt. She hated seeming weak, and she hated being
a pup-mother. It made her feel even more fragile than before. "My
name is Lily... I seek a place for myself to borne my pups. Please,
I beg you. I'll even allow them to grow up to be in your pack if
you let me stay," The she-wolf ignored the fragileness and distress
in her voice. She needed a place for her pups... I hope I don't
have to fight him. Lily thought.
he slowly stopped growling as his eye's softened a little.
''i'll have to speak to my alpha about it... but you can stay if
you like..'' he muttered.
white-fang's left ear twitched and he looked over seeing scar
coming over.
''ah, here we go... scar, could you please escort lily here to the
pup den? have a few of the other she wolves and their pup's move
over to make room for her if you could, i need to go have a word
with alpha, once again about this'' he said, then walked to the
alpha's den.
scar stopped dead in his track's looking a bit confused, but once
he looked over at the she wolf he understood.
''of course big brother... i'll escort her to the pup den'' he said
lightly and gave a small nod toward's where the den was, then
waited for lily to follow.
Lily nodded gratefully at the he-wolf named Scar. "I'm not very
helpless, it's just the state I'm in." She added, taking a slight
dislike on how Scar's nose scrunched in disbelief. They're just
as judge-y as the others, She thought with a sigh. The he-wolf
disappeared into another den, and came out with an elderly she-wolf
who had messy fur and was plastered with scars. "Oh. A pup-mother,"
The cranky elder sighed, and strutted into the pups' den. "Just
because I'm old doesn't mean I can't heal." The Healer snapped, as
if Lily was judging her. "Oh, I'm not thinking that. In fact, I'm
certain you can fight finely too." The pup-mother shrugged
honestly. The Healer eyed her suspiciously. "Hmm. You seem
different," The elder grunted. Lily shrugged. "If you say so.
Probably just because I'm an outsider to these pack-wolves." She
admitted.
while scar left lily alone to the healer, on the other side of the
pack camp white-fang sat in the entrance of the alpha den
respectfully.
''alpha sir, we have a young pup-mother that wandered into the
territory... i gave her permission to at least stay here for now,
but i know it isn't fully stated if she can stay here or not, so i
came to let you know on what's been happening'' he said calmly, his
gaze leveling with adder.
Adder nodded in approval of the white-furred wolf's actions. "It is
fully stated, the pup-mother may stay with us, possibly as a Wolf
of the Shadows. You did the right thing, White-fang." He said with
a flick of his tail, almost seeming like the old Adder again.
Almost. Echo padded into the Alpha's Den, and Adder's scowl
returned. "Father, I've decided to deny your order... Forget me and
Steel." Echo declared, calmly as ever. Adder glared, forcing their
gazes to lock. Echo remained calm. Just like Amber used to do when
she was fighting against his decisions... Amber had always been a
bit rebel-like to his decisions.
His glare fell, and he gave a sigh in defeat. "Alright, Echo. I
give up. Go ahead, run off with White-fang..." He grumbled. His
daughter stared at him, her luminous eyes piercing his pelt.
"Seriously?" She said in disbelief. Adder nodded. Echo's eyes
twinkled, which was all she needed to do, and padded out of the
Alpha's Den.
white-fang just sat their watching her leave the den.
''w-wait... i'm suddenly confused, you were actually planing on
having echo be with steel..? that idiotic he wolf that threatened
my little brother when we were pup's?'' he asked, slowly becoming a
little mad.
he gritted his teeth trying to calm down. don't get disrespectful..... don't get disrespectful.......
he thought to himself as he waited for adder's answer to his
question.
Adder paused. "I made a promise with Rex. It... It had something to
do with Amber. And yes, I completely agree that Rex is bird-brained
as well as his pups. But don't tell him that I said that. We're in
the peace zone, and I'd prefer it stays that way. Be good to my
daughter." He muttered, and strode outside the Alpha's Den. He also
had swore not to tell Echo about that promise.
Echo felt as if the weight of the sky had been shoved off her
shoulders. She felt like she could fly. She felt free. As
White-fang's bewildered face appeared and he bounded out of the
Alphas' Den, she felt lit up and padded towards him. Her tail
rocked back and forth ever so slightly, and she licked his cheek
affectionately.
white-fang wagged his tail and licked echo's cheek in return.
''i'm surprised alpha actually agree's with me on something about
rex and his pup'' he laughed.
then he tilted his head at her, ear's perked up.
''and why didn't you mention that alpha was planning on havingyou
be with steel...?'' he asked rather curious.
