after plenty of swearing and lots of back-and-forth waiting for a friend, i am unproud to announce that i have finished an assignment. i have stayed up past midnight. i will get 6 hours of sleep tonight. i announce this because i did not get pulled into pokeheroes during this time 💪

as you may be able to tell from my poor feed organization (it's usually much better than this, i hope LOL), i am tired. maybe i will look back on this feed when i wake up in the morning like 'why did i type this, i am deleting this right now.' but that's for future semi-rested me to deal with in a few hours!! :)

my country's federal election results are slowly coming out over the course of the next few hours. i am not voting age yet, so i did not vote. and sadly, i'll have to wait 4 years for the next federal election (and my provincial election which was held earlier this year too!)
i could have made it to age if they didn't call early elections :') oh well, democracy is vital for this country during these uncertain times!! i'm not mad if it means we can get stronger leaders c:

i just had an epiphany for a poetic way to reframe getting older, or more specifically reaching my birthday: it's just another year spent on self-love! <3

personally for my mind, it minimizes the dread: of growing older, of not feeling like i have enough time, of having to do harder tasks and having greater responsibilities.

next year in 2026, things are going to change a lot for me. i'll be graduating high school and hopefully attending uni. that enormous change is daunting. but if i think about it as another year of self-love, it makes that weight easier. i'll get as many self-care years in as i possibly can.

i don't know if i'm ready for next year, but i'll do my best (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

about my minesweeper addiction that i posted about 3 days ago:
it's still here 😭 it's worse now. i'm now speedrunning the game. it's nearly midnight again. i've been playing minesweeper straight for the past 4 hours.

but just now, i lost yet another game. but this time, i finally clicked off the tab after losing! to be totally honest, that courage to stop made me tear up (/pos). then, i proceeded to listen to this comforting song, which also made me cry (/pos). apparently i just needed some self-love and self-care to stop c:

honestly? i should have taken my own advice three days ago haha. sometimes it's hard. but please be kind to yourself!! maybe you need it more than you think :)

inspired by pink shirt day, this day is recognized to combat anti-2SLGBTQIA+ bullying.
and according to the official site, this year also honors the 2SLGBTQIA+ activists who fought and continue to fight for rights.* i have utter respect for their efforts and contributions for a safer world, o7

statistically, 2SLGBTQIA+ students are far more likely to be bullied at school (would encourage doing more research if you can!).**

this is not okay. i'm sure most of you are already aware, but i'm bringing this up because this is an important topic.***

it's international day of pink today (primarily only celebrated/known in canada apparently...) !! my school was hosting cool activity booths by students, so i have pink nose and whiskers face painted on my face, hearts on the back of my left hand, and (washable) pink streaks in my hair LOL.

i am applying for my school's co-operative education program during the summer !! hoping i get in haha. i need certifications like cpr and stuff which are already planned, if i am well organized and remember the events! i got the courage to ask to join and now i'm building my organizational skills to actually go places in life!

i'm getting older—well, i was always getting older, but this is just a special milestone day—and i'm getting wiser (hopefully LOL) another 365.25 days of my brain sucking up information and being expected to do greater things! i've grown a lot! hope to make it as far as possible and to reach the faraway stars!! :)
